I am releasing my optimized RND guide.

why: I don't really know. I've passed the RND guide around rather discretely, gathering a small amount of feedback and ultimately I came up with the most optimal path to top off the RND levels to ensure that the RND/robotics experience can be fully realized and experience during a round without needing an extremely experienced regular to have to play a round. I will admit that at this point, having done it countless amounts of times, it's pretty tedious now, and it really sucks to have people in RND who are inexperienced and stuck at major stages of the round's flow.

I do not know if this will make things better. I hope it does. I also hope I am not responsible for a new generation of validhunting powergamers. If it does change things, I hope it will inevitably be for the better and not for worse. On the other hand I guess if someone is particularly stupid and malicious they'll get banned faster.

Anyway: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1vZOQyhClbj7ieIWp8_GGC1tGEpkJCN4W97k6dD5I6tA/edit?usp=sharing

Enjoy yourself responsibly. Please don't do anything that'll make me admit that this was a mistake in the future.

This was a mistake.

I told you people would abuse it.

Guess now time will tell.

In the name of all those who will just use it to claim the "best scientist 4eva" in LooC I'd still like to say "Thank you". :)

Hope I'm not right on this one.

Reading up on this, I find it rather interesting as it uses some stuff I don't use. Throughout the years, I've always created my own unique way of RnD that I sometimes have to modify around new items or, god forbid, alb removing tech ?

We already had an R&D guide before and that was fine. Thanks for updating it with this though.

The last guide I saw linked on the Wiki is extremely outdated.

Chameleon kits got removed from prolathe, you can't get the illegal levels as high normally now.

Wrong. Cyber suit chips exist.

Why aren't you using the circuit kit's photovoltaic cells?

As in, making them and deconstructing them? It's kinda pointless. If you have 3 of a very tech level item but you're 5 or so levels behind in a certain tech level, the way the RND system is coded is to "catch up" the current levels based on how advanced the item was to break down. This makes it rewarding to break down particularly complex items. When playing with this method, though, this also invalidates breaking down less complex items and is considered a "skip" in RND.

The large tesla power relay and large power transmission devices, when broken down, will manage you tech levels of far greater amounts.

edit: OH JESUS you mean the circuit kit one lab over from RND. Did not think of this, I'll try it out.

Strange that your guide lists the Bluespace Capacitor for the modular weapons, every time I try putting that in the analyzer it tells me the item doesn't have a tech origin.

It looks like I was not. Science is keeping it in their pockets and I'm happy to say that I was wrong about it. Puts a smile on my face currently :)
