Rework Hides, or remove them.

Hides act the same as stuff like steel, or wood. They can be used to build stuff like doors, walls, chairs, ect. It'd make a lot more sense if they didn't do that, but could be added after the fact. So rather than making a stool out of hide, you'd have a stool, with a hide seat that you added on afterwards. Thoughts?

Reworking their use in construction sure, remove no. Despite their odd behaviour it's somewhat useful for them being able to stack, and they hold a fair value to cargo as a commodity. It would also make sense if they were usable in the construction of makeshift armour in a heat-resistant (but not bullet-resistant) fashion.

Being a sellable cargo item isn't a super convincing line. Anyways, I agree they should be added after rather than before. Making corgi hide keys is hilarious, but makes no sense.

Yes, my main grievance is that they're used for making stupid shit. Especially given that two of the main types- human and corgi- should be eliciting extremely aggressive backlash ICly, for using human and dog hides, but doesn't because it's a 'meme'. It's one of those things we got in game that exists in a vacuum separate from RP.

The first time I saw hides, I though it was how it works. If you added them on an objet, it would cover them with the type of hide you were using (Like when you add carpet to a stool for example).

So I'm totally in favor of that idea and it could be interesting to see things from time to time like a Human hide covered airlock with a different color.

Why don't we just remove them? They literally have no function (and no, the occasional bounty for the mythical lizard hide from Unathi is not a function)
