Extended wins straight out, Secret right behind because not knowing your antags is fantastic. Cult is third, because it's almost always good.


Nuke is the shitty version of Heist, Mutiny is outright bad and needs a complete directive reword, and Malf is good about as often as you get two blue moons in a year.

Mutiny (Two teams, but only certain objectives are good)

Malfunction (When the AI is good)

Cult (When the Cult actually grows and does something)

Extended (This can be lower or higher on the list depending on the crew)

RP-Revolution (It's like Mutiny but every round is the prohibition)

Traitor (A single good or bad traitor is preferable over many, many bad traitors)

Revolution (Oh boy he has a flash)

Mutiny (The other objectives)

Cult (When the Cult tries to be stealthy and gets nowhere)

Malfunction (When the AI is bad)

Mongoose (Oh boy dealing with five traitors and atleast two of them are going to bomb something)

Wizard (SCYAR NILA! SCYAR NILA! GIN'YU CAPAN!)

Vampire (Oh boy it's a weaker changeling)

Ninja (Advanced hide and seek)

Traitorchan (Oh boy there's a changeling in there)

Changeling (Murderbone/Permadeath the game mode, redeemed only by hallucination roleplay)

Heist (SECURITY LET THOSE MURDERING THIEVES GO BECAUSE THEY'RE NON-HUMANS)

Secret (I hate surprises)

Lings haven't made people unclonable for a long, long time.

Made it more appropriate. It's still sort'a permadeath if the Ling actually bothers hiding the bodies anyways.

-You mean, the ling is an asshole. I think that applies to any antagonist.

It's usually something they need to go for if they fancy their disguise/transformations being worth a damn, regardless, I don't feel much need to discuss the intricacies of how Changeling works or rather, how it doesn't in a ratings thread. You're welcome to PM me if you want to have an overtly lengthy discussion on the subject, though.

secret (I like surprises :o)

rp-revolution (because there's a chance everyone can have a part of this gamemode, though either side can get ganky)

traitor (This only applies to traitors who do shit)

extended

cult (I like gamemodes where everyone can get involved, but the quality of this gamemode depends entirely on who is within the cult)

malfunction (can either be fun, irritating or boring (if the AI is overly stealth, or tries not be be but gets nabbed early)

mutiny (can occasionally be fun, if the drama extends beyond heads/sec, as rarely does)

vampire (meh again, fookin bats)

changeling (Idunno man. People don't RP ling very well, even though it has tons of potential.)

heist (I really can't stand this gamemode. It's so boring I can't even)

nuclear (nothing says "fun" than being locked up in your department for two hours with nothing to do or anyone to interact with. rip civilian sector)

PS. Basically anything other than extended. All of these can be fun if someone does something interesting. I am awful at chair roleplay, and it also doesn't let me be an ass on LOOC.

Most favorite


nuclear (I enjoy the action and seeing how people play the role differently. Being locked up sucks, but I don't often play a strictly-civilian role (engineering mostly, or a borg), so it's okay)

mutiny (really fun, but not as good as nuke. I dislike how we have "take all xeno's out of the game 10 minutes in")

rp-rev (has a lot of really fun situations)

heist (KIKIKIKIKIKIKI)

cult (Only played it a few times. Generally not a good experience, but SOMETIMES I get a really fun round, and it makes it worth it)

malfunction (I actually enjoy this)

changeling (I hate lings, but they make good conflict)

traitor (meh... but it could be worse)

traitorchan (worse like this.)

ninja (It's fun every once in a while)

vampire (I dislike vampire, but I've only played it once)

secret (I enjoy secret, but I'm putting it below the other modes because people metagame in it a lot (see: borg says something they don't like, assume malf ai))

extended (one of my least favorite modes. It has the potential to be the best mode, but it's rarely done that way. As an engineering player I often have "install more vents and scrubbers" as a job rather than "hey let's test the supermatter cause there's no antags so we don't have to worry about half the station murdering eachother". Also blobs. )

revolution (never played it but from what I've read, it's just a flash fest)

extend-a-traitormongous (I hate this. I don't want to suddenly be a traitor with 5 minutes left on the clock)

wizard (Wizard is my least favorite only because I dislike the antag. The conflict it creates is fun, and I often get to see some hilarious things happen, but I've also had some terrible experiences with wizards)
