Garnascus Posted January 22, 2016 Posted January 22, 2016 The irony here is i actually warned the cultist who did that fort. They still have to follow the rules(even if it was amazing). Blood boiling everyone for no reason is shitty.
Skull132 Posted January 23, 2016 Posted January 23, 2016 A cultist makes a cubicle of walls and just sits there, laughing at everyone before killing them all if they don't bomb him or get the chaplain. They're doing this instead of tactically blocking off a hallway or specific entrances; this doesn't seem strategical at all. Ya, but then why get close? You have enough excuse to nope away (because wtf, I'm being stopped by air). And if the cultists are using it just to gank, they'll be warned. Also, there is a limit to the walls. after a set amount, old ones are destroyed as new ones are placed.
MagnificentMelkior Posted January 23, 2016 Posted January 23, 2016 how do you manage to blood boil 5 people? Dont you have to drag them onto a rune and activate it?
Lord Lag Posted January 23, 2016 Posted January 23, 2016 how do you manage to blood boil 5 people? Dont you have to drag them onto a rune and activate it? Blood boil works on anyone in visual range
SilverTalismen Posted January 23, 2016 Posted January 23, 2016 Really it works on people in visual range? I thought it was a step on sort of run and it boils you? Blood boil working on people who can see it is terrifyingly powerful
Alberyk Posted January 23, 2016 Posted January 23, 2016 how do you manage to blood boil 5 people? Dont you have to drag them onto a rune and activate it? Blood boil works in an area, blood drain works like the one you are talking about.
Guest Posted January 23, 2016 Posted January 23, 2016 blood boil requires 3 people around a singular rune in order to activate. anyone within VISUAL RANGE of the blood boil rune will take damage from it upon activation. given that blood boil deals brute (and burn) damage to random limbs/organs, it's very possible bloodboil can cause instant death on the first cast. Either way, it will put someone into crit instantaneously.
Carver Posted January 23, 2016 Posted January 23, 2016 Everything can be countered, whether invisible walls (Null rod, breaching, bombs) or blood boil (The trick to countering this is mostly in luck, alternatively have cyborgs/androids around instead since they don't care as much about the damage). If you must insist on suggesting a feature be removed, offer an alternative. Otherwise you're just attempting to piss on the balance of the mode because you lost to someone clever.

Read what I was saying earlier about a compromise before you say I'm basically just mad. Someone already made that point, and I tried to suggest other things. There wasn't any blocked passageways or anything like that, just turtling down in the middle of the brig. I would understand dropping some shields down in narrow halls in a chase, but he wasn't even trying to run away. The entire situation felt silly after I had brought them down with flashbangs and everything when they're just sitting there like a rock. The walls could remain indestructible, but I still think cultists need a nerf when they can viably sit out in the open and prepare spells, untouchable in a crowd of security officers for a long time before any bombing starts.

Didn't you actually win in the end though? Did the cultists ploy not infact fail?
Fortport Posted January 24, 2016 Author Posted January 24, 2016 I don't know. I stopped playing after I died. The last thing I heard before going was something about them trying to summon Nar'sie.
