Filthyfrankster Posted March 22, 2017 Posted March 22, 2017 you see this? This is a bit silly for the custom loadouts (Everything else is harmless and probably won't break the game/cause serious damage) but a steel boot knife tho Perhaps add in some sort of warning that this is probably contraband and you'll probably get arrested for a concealed weapon or remove it from the custom loadouts, pls
Lohikar Posted March 22, 2017 Posted March 22, 2017 It's literally a reskinned fork, it doesn't do much damage. As for it being contraband, it should be fairly obvious to players that bringing a knife to work is generally frowned upon.
Filthyfrankster Posted March 22, 2017 Author Posted March 22, 2017 You'd be surprised how many would question IC'ly and ooc'ly why they're getting their edge lord weapon taken away
Munks Posted March 22, 2017 Posted March 22, 2017 Yeah, a knife, that's so incredibly edgy. Why do you care? It does hardly any damage so I can't imagine you've been victimized by it somehow. It's a flavor item at best. Who cares?
Filthyfrankster Posted March 22, 2017 Author Posted March 22, 2017 As a security main, I pondered someone about it and they got real anal about handing it over. clearly
Dragonspare Posted March 23, 2017 Posted March 23, 2017 The statistics of the knife aren't important, more like the fact of bringing a knife to your workplace only because flavor, it shouldn't be really allowed by NT, not even for security personel, even if it's handy for sometimes
canon35 Posted March 24, 2017 Posted March 24, 2017 I actively support the removal of this from the custom loadout. It's a easily detectable weapon (Unless the Odin doesn't have godamn metal detectors). Besides, in most jobs you can still construct a concealable weapon or something better.
TrickingTrapster Posted March 31, 2017 Posted March 31, 2017 If people get annoying about handing these things over ICly, handle it ICly. If it becomes an OOC problem or LOOC problem, shoot an ahelp people, it's what mods and admins are here for. If people start abusing the boot knife I would be in favor of removing it but I haven't really seen any ahelps about it so I don't see too much of a problem.
Garnascus Posted March 31, 2017 Posted March 31, 2017 its dumb as hell. Either the company is letting people come aboard with boot knives or half the crew is smuggling them on. Both scenarios are equally silly.
Guest Marlon Phoenix Posted March 31, 2017 Posted March 31, 2017 It's really dumb. If you want to carry contraband knives then put some work into it like the rest of us and build yourself one from metal or plasteel, which makes more sense than smuggling it past customs. Custom items should not be weapons.
witchbells Posted April 3, 2017 Posted April 3, 2017 But how will the crew be able to play "spot the edgelord" without boot knives?
