NebulaFlare Posted April 20, 2015 Posted April 20, 2015 20. Security officers never actually check paperwork. Just carry a few forms on you at all times and wave them in the officer's face when they question you. Post yours! Someplace, somewhere, Rose Watson cringed. Quote
Crescentise Posted April 20, 2015 Posted April 20, 2015 There's a certain threshold of damage where bones fracture automatically. If you try to surgically repair a bone while it's still too damaged, it'll just break again. The threshold is fifteen brute. Anything under and you won't have any problems repairing it. Sorry to be dumb or whatever, but how do you actually get around this? A certain medication before surgically repairing the bone, or...? Quote

You just have to remember to bandage the affected limbs - Preferably with a trauma pack, if it's a lot of damage. Otherwise, you'll have to patch it in surgery and be stuck waiting for a bit. Quote

Guest Posted April 22, 2015 Posted April 22, 2015 You would have to extract their posibrain and shove it into something else, unfortunately. as it stands there is no way to create another ipc chassis. Quote
Guest Posted April 22, 2015 Posted April 22, 2015 Remove the IPC cyberbrain, put it in an MMI, put it in an android chassis, have the RD go and put the least-strenuous lawset on that particular Cyborg, and disable law-sync/bind that connects it to the AI's authority. Quote
Valkrae Posted April 22, 2015 Posted April 22, 2015 Take the posibrain, put into Durand. YOU CAN INTO LAW. Quote
Alberyk Posted April 22, 2015 Posted April 22, 2015 You can have a posibrain from a dead ipc if you decapitate it before removing the brain, otherwise it is a cyberbrain. Quote
Guest Posted April 22, 2015 Posted April 22, 2015 Combat shotguns are ballistic weapons that require a lot of mechanical knowledge of 2d gunplay and keyboard dexterity to use effectively, but they're ridiculously effective once you figure them out. They carry 8 shells and accept several shell types. Slugs being my favorite due to their bone-breaking and organ ripping capability (and DECAPITATIONS), incendiaries are awesome against unarmored opponents and deal both Damage over Time and a healthy amount of instant damage, and also scare the literal shit out of people because it kills them at a decent pace, beanbags are okay if you want to pacify and humilate a lot of people. Aim for the groin in this instance. Stun shells apply either instant stuns or a fuckton of paincrit, I don't recall exactly. They need to be wielded in order to be fired. Getting a combat shotgun fresh from the cargo crate requires you to pump it once, otherwise it won't fire. Weird oversight, doesn't matter, though. They come loaded with slugs, so be wary of that. Not unlike actual shotguns, they fire the first shell type loaded in the shotgun first. Meaning, I would recommend you empty out your entire chamber if you want some other sneaky shit before you start killing people. Beanbags with a combination of slugs are my favorite. Lets people know you're not fucking around. If possible, I try to get a sawed off shotgun and load it with incendiary shells afterward as my last resort sidearm. But don't do this unless shit has really hit the fan, in which the bartender really no longer needs it. In terms of how difficult they are to use, it's merely an issue with dexterity. There's also the issue of requiring a wield for it, so you can't pull anything out until you unwield the damn thing. Still, it's so good anyway, so why would you want anything else? How I typically operate with shotguns, with hotkey mode turned on: Hit Z (this is the activate held object hotkey. This pumps the shotgun.) Point, click on a tile Hit Z (pumps the shotgun after the shot.) If you time this well enough with the fire delay, you'll be able to outDPS just about every available ranged weapon in the game. Oh, I'm also pretty sure slugs say "fuck you" to armor (basic sec helmets have like bullet = 10, I think?), so unless you're wearing the SWAT helmet, you can expect decapitations if you keep getting hit by slugs like the dolt you are. It's also pretty difficult to overestimate combat shotguns, given how RNgesus just loves to dick its victims over with organ failure as well as broken everything. Medbay also has a wonderful time treating patients who even survive this shit. Quote
K0NFL1QT Posted May 13, 2015 Posted May 13, 2015 Ogod, the Combat Shotgun. First round I used it, I accidentally decapped two people. I have a certain mouse with a fuckton of buttons, so binding one for 'use/pump' was an obvious choice. I stopped using them for a while just because of dangerously effective they were at killing, and that when I had one I felt comfortable rushing nukesquads. Quote
Fire and Glory Posted July 2, 2015 Posted July 2, 2015 Hit Z (this is the activate held object hotkey. This pumps the shotgun.) Point, click on a tile Hit Z (pumps the shotgun after the shot.) Alternatively, if you're an idiot like me who keeps one hand on the arrow keys and one hand on the mouse, you can bind it to NUMPAD 0 instead, or / if NUMPAD 0 doesn't work (NUMPAD 0 is randomly iffy for me.) EDIT:Like an idiot who doesn't check dates. Quote
Guest Posted July 5, 2015 Posted July 5, 2015 (edited) ..Wait, wh- what is a machinegun doing in this thread?... Anyway, the purpose of this thread is to provide Super Good Advice, because this thread is going to be full of it. Targeting someone with a ranged weapon and setting the intent to walk makes your target walk. Compressed matter implants enable you to implant yourself with any item of your choosing. No, really. You can give yourself an entire backpack's worth full of tools, *wink in permanent holding, stage a breakout, and then pull out whatever violent tools to start a massacre in security's own home base. For example, anyway, there's lots of things you can do with this. Thermite can be put into space cleaner spray bottles. Adjust it to five units and then click on adjacent walls to spray it on. Lighters, welders will ignite it and melt the walls very quickly. It's also deathly quiet. You can completely immobilize someone by neckgrabbing. Both variants of the force gloves can instantly aggressive grab someone as well as put them into neckgrab, making them entirely helpless for the duration of the grappling. The e-bow is 'silent' in that it doesn't produce a visual log when fired. (Adminlogs notwithstanding.) It also only takes 2 shots to down someone. It uses radiation damage to harm its victims. .45 caliber bullet type are instant stuns. Bicaridine and dermaline heal ridiculously fast. Administer either of these in cases of severe brute or burn damage incidents. Remember to treat the wounds to prevent open infections, despite the miraculous benefits these two chemicals give! Radium assists in curing viruses, and it's highly effective. Note that you also require dylovene+hyronalin to be administered to counteract the side effects of radium itself. In the event no virologist exists, radium is extremely effective but also can carry consequences if not monitored carefully. When mining, change your active hand so that it's selecting the empty one. After that, anytime you run 'into' a wall of rock, you begin to mine it. You can then use the arrow keys or WASD to mine out rocks simultaneously. Edited July 5, 2015 by Guest Quote
VoltageHero Posted July 5, 2015 Posted July 5, 2015 Your title is a joke about Destiny. You thought only Destiny players would figure it out. I'm onto you. But anyways, some of these can help players out overall. The thermite solution seems a bit iffy. It'd be weird to see people just running around with it in spray bottles. Quote
