Why do you wish to be on the whitelist?: To become an IAA

Why did you come to Aurora?: It is a nice server with heavy roleplay

Have you read the Aurora wiki on the head roles and qualifications you plan on playing?: Done and dusted

Please provide well-articulated answers to the following questions in a paragraph each.

Give a definition of what you think roleplay is and should be about:

act out or perform the part of a person or character and it should encourage a safe environment which people can have fun. This requires dedication as well as making sure everyone is included to help keep the flow of the station going.

What do you think the OOC purpose of a Head of Staff is, ingame?:

To manage the department and sort problems quickly and discreetly. This includes making sure each and every indiviul is accounted and assigned a role to keep the department flowing, without the head of staff most things fall apart.

What do you think the OOC responsibilities of Whitelisted players are to other players, and how would you strive to uphold them?: To make sure there are qualified players are the head of departments to enable an easy flow for roleplay to happen and keep the department functioning

There's a lot of stuff missing here, zero backstory and answers being too short being the most glaring issues. I've seen Olivia around, I think(?) she's a virologist? If she is the virologist I'm thinking of, she seems to get overwhelmed easily, and not the kind of person I see as an IAA. You don't seem to understand IAA very much either, they can't punish people. They investigate, report, and suggest a course of action if deemed necessary. To sum this up, -1.

Edit: Going from medical to internal affairs is pretty weird too, I'd love to hear the reasoning behind that.

Your character doesn't seem like one who would fit the position of a command role, she seems to prefer specific people and refuse to give treatment to those who she doesn't relate a lot which, proved by when you left my character, who was coughing up blood and critted, laying on a bed without any vaccines but helped those who were on a far better condition than my character, you also disobeyed the CMO who was telling you to give me the vaccine.

-1

EDIT: I was kind of salty when making this, but the point still stands, you didn't follow the CMO's commands to give me the vaccine for one of the strains of the virus, I don't know if out of confusion or actual desire to do so, but you need to learn a bit more virology and play more and you will be the kind of player that would make a good head.

This is not the issue. The issue is they did not understand that you, a Unathi, differed from a human. They were confused by this and did not treat you based on this ignorance.

I don't take any of your offenses thus far as intentional, but you must learn. A lot. We all started at some point and you're still in that starting phase.

-1 until the player has been on the server active for more than four months.

I'm giving a -1 as well. Beyond the virology issues, they've failed to treat patients and done malpractice during multiple surgeries to the point of patients dying, or almost dying before competent physicians step in.

Moving on, they also jobhop with this single character a lot. CSI, Virologist, Resident, Surgeon.

Honestly if it were my choice I'd have you locked to a resident until you actually take the time and learn the medical mechanics so you don't 'accidentally' lobotomize another surgery patient.

All in all, a big ol' -1 from me.

I'm happy to see a player enthusastic and wanting to do more after a week here on Aurora.

I think some of the comments here are frequent criticisms of new players, jobhopping (I did that too in my first week) and malpracticebay, especially.

I would recommend at least 3 or 4 months of solid experience on the server, and at least a couple of stints in an interim head role, before applying for IAA again.

I would also recommend a headmin lock and archive this before the pile-on gets out of hand.

-1 for now. Welcome to Aurora!

I, personally, made an application for and was accepted for the Head of Staff whitelist only a month and a half after joining the server, which proves that the means to gain the whitelist is circumstancial at best. You just need to display that you can handle it. Here's some bullet-points to work on, for your next time around.

1.) Backstory. Backstory, backstory, backstory. Tell us everything there is to know about this character. Where she was born, who her parents were, who her siblings were, where she was raised, how she was raised, who raised her, who her friends were, what her drives were/are, what her interests were, what trouble she got into (if any), how she was educated, how she got the means to be educated, who educated her, where was she educated, how she got a job with NT, what she's done with that short timeframe (very end of your backstory).

2.) Interim head-of-staff time. It's easy as dirt to find a Medical department without a CMO, just be brave enough to approach an HoP or a Captain and ask them for an Interim title. You need to be professional in how you present yourself, but outgoing, and should make sure your fellow Residents/Doctors/Surgeons/EMT's know who you are.

3.) Time. Now, this isn't a big one, as I said it can be very circumstancial. But, with time, comes recognition. With recognition, comes acceptance. With acceptance, comes leniency. People won't judge you as cruelly if they know your ins-and-outs.

That's all, folks. I am heavily impressed by your attempt here, but I feel you should try again at a later date. Maybe in a few weeks, or a month, when you get more time under your belt. -1, for now.
