oh i loved it, and i've been meaning to update my records for some time now anyway

so in a previous round a few days ago there were no engineering slots open so i logged in as an atmos tech to fix up the atmos layout and make it actually robust and got called into IA and forced to change jobs because I didn't have atmos training listed on my records. It was all played out and i was fine with it oocly (i wanted to be a normal engineer anyway) but like, what is the ruling for something like this? Should i just add in all training for things I might have to do when I play? Most of my atmos work was on station under techs and some CEs, but I never got any formal documentation for it

i'll only agree with this suggestion IF sudden gravity also gave brute damage actually now that i think about it, we already have a 'gravity generator shutdown' message, why not a 'gravity generator started' one? its like a one minute warning and forces people to pay attention and plan accordingly rather than a 'grab a chair right now' message

as an engineer who in the past has escalated things to violence, we should def be held accountable as security. actually, more so than security. They, at least, have the benefit of saying 'i made a call and it required that level of force' non sec staff can really only say 'i decided to take matters into my own hands' But it guess adding charges for vigilantism would be too anti-game

I just want to throw out that the current Sol Alliance government is a majority unity between GAIA and ATLAS, both of which are pro earth and publicly human supremacist. With that kind of popular support, it wouldn't exactly be social or political suicide to embrace speciest policies when it comes to employment

but then that takes away my ability to be actively unrobust by saying 'oh i found a sec officer out here' when caught Eva as an engineer

i wouldn't say MOST call it departures I've been calling it departures since for years though. I think I suggested this way back before split with Apollo, its an easy change.

you could make the vaurca 'brain' work like an implant, when targeted on the head of a vaurca it automatically inserts itself, and will detach on death. maybe require robotics 'surgery' to open up a port or something and install the other vaurca program

there should be an antag option to replace all weapons in the armory with nerf guns and beanbags. Like they have to emag the communications console on the bridge and it initiates a bluespace swap but only on green alert so they have to not get caught

the one major engineering thing i want changed is make it possible to actually clear the waste loop once you get one or two rooms in it, the thing is clogged for literally ever. IDK whats wrong, but I suspect its either the injectors or the filters

sadly with the rate of power consumption and default cells in areas, spending the time to prep and dispatch an apprentice to collect the tools would result in 3 major secure areas losing power before containment was brought up. As it stands, even with a competent engineering staff its not unheard of for atmos to lose power before engine is up. Can apprentices use the shuttle? I sincerely have no idea. i believe they can use the shuttle, but they lack the access for the actual doors on the outpost Now my own points, I'd love for air tanks to be full but it doesn't really matter. Plasma tanks, I think they're OK the way they are actually. Everything else I agree with entirely, but as an engineer im pretty biased. Except keep poly stealing stuff. Side note, make poly a bird cage

maybe have lesser infractions give time served punching someone, low level theft, trespassing ect.. then have upper level things not, like infiltration, assault with weapon, resisting arrest/ fleeing officers so you can have a system where someone who hops the bar and steals a bottle of alcohol gets let out after processing and record updates, while someone who would get a 30 minute charge keeps the full time even after processing. And it gives a reason to cooperate with sec because with time served, running from officers would probably result in no extra time in brig but if you run, that time can't be hand-waved. of course all this requires sec to communicate and forces people to know the regs

actually i think the opposite if you have a 5 minute sentence and take 15 minutes in processing, you book them and then chalk it up to time served and let them out

you still have major wealth disparity in the USA even if its peaceful between states. i see no reason why wealth should be spread out across earth, the mega cities will obviously be economic centers and everything else would be varying degrees of wealth. Its not like we have a post-scarcity economic model in the aurora universe. Its a trope that for one person to get rich, other people have to get poor. And Nanotrasen is very very rich
