can we even get ambrosia right now? I've tried to tinker with the vending machines but the seed machines don't seem to have any maint ports to modify them back on old code I had a very convoluted method of making ambrosia oil and then removing the toxins for a 100% clean high

note - it looks possible to kill slimes with brute damage I had a round where there was a slime outbreak so I grabbed engineering's firefighter mech and went to spray them to death. burnt through two full water tanks and then started just smashing them with my gripper. It was so much more effective popping them like the killer pimples they are.

personally i loved the 2/3 majority vote before 3 hours

please dont this is just a failure on medical's part to properly contain their patients i dont want to have to wait 5 minutes to leave med after i am treated

I'm not sure the work is really worth the payout people joining already have this information in two places, first if they click crew manifest they have a full listing of everyone in every role and if they're active or inactive and second when they click join jobs are listed like Scientist (#) showing how many of that job are currently on station (but not how many are active) this just seems like coding in redundant functionality that will be ignored by the kind of person who ignores the current information.

as an engineer/ 'learning' atmos tech (ive joined more rounds as a tech recently than engineer, and every time yelled at engineers to fix my door and return my plasma) keep them separate, but like give more for atmos to do. After initial configuration there really isn't much for an atmos tech to do except for specific orders (we need frozen gas ect..) Especially how difficult it is to repipe ports and how full air pumps are by default now (every pump spawns with over 9k pressure, enough to make any normally sized room 'livable' But really, give atmos techs more work to do and more will probably log in to give plasma to engineers. And yes, N2 is 'fine' but plasma is so much more efficient and generates much better power at lower temperatures and is actually safer. edit - my atmos training is all documented and was conducted on site under a number of atmos techs and chief engineers, and is accounted for in my employment records. When I started, I knew absolutely nothing icly and oocly about atmos, but xullie has been a member of station crew icly for like 2 years now (whenever we split from apollo)

i was always interested in xenobio (and science as a whole) but every time i joined up as an intern nobody ever helped me (one person actively yelled at me for not knowing what to do) maybe i'll give it another shot on newcode though

as a player and character i used to hate security and was a (i believe) a portion of the engineering vs sec problem. I have reassessed (since bluesec became a thing) and decided that I have no real hatred towards sec, so I actually begrudgingly help them out, even willingly if its in my best interests. Depends on the individual officer though really. There are officers I wouldn't help, and those I'd go out of my way to help. I just wish people got briged more than they got killed

i, for one, want greater utilization of the floor beacon system to make hacking it actually useful

hm... i can see it now. Engineering breaks into armory, steals all riot shields. marches down the hallway, hardsuits on, shields up. they let fly the stun spears and then draw their screwdrivers to gouge the eyes out of the fallen sec officers while one moves from the back with a flamethrower

exactly obviously have the huge scrubber, i THINK atmos can handle the load from that if properly configured. Haven't really looked at the atmos efficiency in new code. If they're properly protected they wont die, if they're not they get what would happen anyway, AND it doesn't affect anyone else in the department.

Please make this a thing,I'm sick of having baldies ruine a round for me when I play science because they turn one fucking valve. perhaps toxins can have a redesign? lock the mix tanks behind a door so its a small 3x3 glass walled room with emergency doors around the whole thing. it only keeps someone from fucking up at initial mix stage, but if someone is going to turn a valve its going to be here

as engineer 1) disassemble something 2) slowly put it back together 3) when yelled at by sec, say routine maintenance 4) get all engineering to break you out when you are brigged. or 1) find assistant 2) teach them how to antag 3) say its teaching them engineering 4) profit

mechanics i think it should last for no longer than 1 minute after engaged (heavy duty power cell), can be toggled off. no native regeneration, must be worn in belt slot to be activated. batteries can be swapped out at diminishing returns, hypercap maxing out at 2.5 minutes of constant protection a laser shot should remove 1500 charge from battery, allowing a fully charged default shield to soak roughly 3 shots before failing sounds cool imo
