  1. More tools for traitors outside of 'easy' positions would definitely make things more interesting, probably worth a shot.
  2. Could make hostage taking a bit easier as well? Potentially, anyway. You're pretending you're important in the bar when suddenly you see a familiar aiming reticule on you and a scream to get down.
  3. I am more than a-okay with more restrictions on (races of) Tajara, given how they're almost explicitly stated to be used for cheap labor, it'd be kinda weird to just see any cat being a head, in my eyes
  4. Large Influx of Tajara Immigrants Expected, Martian Senate Willing to Help While speaking on Sol Today, Neville Chumberlane, came into the limelight for his disapproval of the Tajaran Immigration ban, and of other xenophobic beliefs held by "most of Sol's bureaucracy". After discussions among senators of Mars in Olympia, he has come to spearhead the movement to help those whose visas are about to/have expired relocate on Mars to Argyre and Aoina. When asked why he was leading the action, Chumberlane responeded, Mars is experiencing an unusually large influx of immigrants and Visa-holders from Adhomai itself. B'urr, Tampiska, and Nal'tor are the most common cities cited during the senate discussion. People's Republic of Adhomai officials released a statement revolving around Mars showing it's "pleasant willingness" to help, stating "We will ensure our security forces ensure the emigration of our finest, and show Sol the mutual respect we share." Senator Thorne voiced his support for this move, as he currently is battling against ATLAS-led attempts to force Martian compliance with the travel ban, saying it's a clear violation of typical allowances for members of the Alliance who have previously joined, while opposition argued that since this was not clearly stated on the Treaty of Olympia, Mars is held by no such agreement.
  5. Name: Ryan McLean Species: Human Age: 27 Date of Hire: 09/23/2458 Job Title: Station Engineer Preferred Contact Info: McLean11@NTMail.net
  6. If rounds weren't only 2 hours this might actually be enjoyable.
  7. More versatility to a rather niche profession can definitely be a plus, and as Loow stated, could definitely be used to help new players trying to learn it have something they know they can do (if they do) while they're trying to grasp new shit.
  8. https://wiki.aurorastation.org/index.php?title=Luna Went over Luna a bit, giving a bit of a cultural history, and a mild political one, working on major political parties of Sol now.
  9. I fucking hate how cloning is handled lorewise and in game, would make me fairly happy to see it's removal on station.
  10. Yo, human lore deputy here. Short answer, I don't think so, long answer, I haven't gotten around to working on Jupiter yet, but if you have a name in mind or something, just shoot it at me so I could just use that instead of whatever dumb shit I was going to come up with.
  11. Sure is. Either some of the under-developed parts of Sol, or maybe something to not make the Frontier appear an empty wasteland. As much as it would probably pain me, I'd have to work beyond it, there's still so much that could be done for humanity in a positive way, trying to get hung over one aspect would probably do more harm than good. Tell them okay, revert/hold the change, inform you or Jackboot about it, wait for a call on it. Let their edits stand, come back later to them to try and discuss after not salting at each other for a few hours straight. Hopefully being able to reach a half decent conclusion. Tell them directly that is a concern, and something that is being actively avoided, and maybe they should consider sending it to lore canonization apps instead, which response depending can probably gauge the intent of said changes. It's easy to fly into insulting people, especially if it was something effecting a character or something of the like. Granted, venting can sometimes be needed, but public channels might not be the best place for that. Maybe DM asking them what exactly the problem is/was, see if there isn't an actual reason or not. If not and then they keep it up in a public channel, report them to the admins. I'm sorry if any answers don't seem long enough or I wasn't clear enough, please ask for clarification on anything if needed.
  12. I think Ally has the skill and drive to be able to make humanity continue to be distinct in tandem with Zundy's directions. As well as focusing on potentially overlooked pieces of humanity.
  13. Ckey/BYOND Username:SeniorScore Position Being Applied For (coder, mapper, spriter):Human Deputy Lore Dev Past Experiences/Knowledge:Mostly from my short time of picking through/editing the wiki, and working with Zundy on many human aspects on it. I also began working on a alternate universe for a home game, in the rather near future, but didn't continue work on it after the group fell apart, so I do have a little experience with working things of that nature I suppose. Examples of Past Work:what would've been part of the hook of said campaign Preferred Mode of Communication (Skype, Steam, etc.):Discord(SeniorScore) Additional Comments: I am very interested in humanity, and approve of Zundy's direction with them, dusting off mere minor factions, and brushing them up, bringing them to relevance and interest to players. When I first started playing here, I hadn't heard much beyond Sol in terms of humanity, but still want to the lore, and asked questions with who I could, trying to figure out what I could about Mars, always wondering why there wasn't more. And now, here it is, a chance to help add to humanity, and bring both the wiki and lore a bit closer to each other, hopefully leading to it being a bit clearer for players who attempt to use it.
  14. What I've seen of em they know their shit, which is more than can be said about some CEs. +1
  15. Heeey, that's pretty good
  16. Maybe something along the lines of PETA ad, but for vaurca? if there are a bunch of rich brats being indoctrinated by the Zo'ra queen, why wouldn't there be annoying ads for those despicable bugmen? "Countless Vaurca die each day because they can't maintain enough k'ois on Biesel, please, donate just 10 credits a week, and save a vaurca's life by helping fund research for ways to safely grow k'ois in Biesel without endangering others."
  17. Trenchcoat is already armored *I believe*, which is why I made the distinction specifically to be armored in the subject
  18. BYOND Key:SeniorScore Character name:Nelson Blessing Item name:Armored Detective Jacket Why is your character carrying said item to work?In a bold move from trying to break from the traditional imagery of a drunken, hard-boiled detective, Nanotrasen has decided to take a bold move into trying to present detectives as a nicer, more clean and approachable look. So Nelson has brought his jacket from his days of being a detective in Eridani. Item function(s):It's essentially the detective's trench coat, but more professional looking. Item description:A white suit jacket, has a badge hanging out of a breast pocket. Touching it gives a feeling of working on a case for months.. Item appearance:https://i.imgur.com/b9hsOQv.png this is what it'd look like How will you use this to better interact with crew and/or stimulate RP?A cleaner looking detective might be more approachable to either potential enemies, and and witnesses. Additional comments: I have DMIs completed already
  19. Ckey/BYOND Username: SeniorScore Position Being Applied For (coder, mapper, spriter): Wiki Maintainer Past Experiences/Knowledge: I don't think I have much applicable experience for this position, but I believe I can learn quickly Examples of Past Work: N/A Preferred Mode of Communication (Skype, Steam, etc.): Discord Additional Comments: My desire to make this app arose from personal usage of the wiki, and often being bamboozled by either lack of clear pathing, or finding pages buried to be forgotten forever. And I for one would love to be able to assist in making the wiki more readable, and accessible to others so reading through it to find out interesting things would be more prevalent, which might lead into a better integration of lore into actual play, creating a better roleplay environment.
  20. Were it not for the laws of this land, I would've slain you
  21. ..well I didn't see the post before, but I definitely above of the concept for obvious reasons
  22. Have you, fellow Aurora-Player, ever sat there in your brightly lit department, heard the distant cries of people being kidnapped on the radio, security rushing by, shotguns ready to headgib, and strange Russian men and Vox demanding money for some assistant, and thought 'I wish I could help."? Well do I have a suggestion for you! Post now for your chance to get a One of a Kind(Note: not actually one of a kind) HEIST+TRAITOR GAMEMODE. At long last you can help an outside force properly kidnap that one asshole in medical who you think always messes up the first few injections on purpose to be whisked away into the hands of space pirates, ready for Nanotrasen shekels in return for their totally-not-dead body, or steal phoron(shit's expensive, yo) . Or, you can say you are helping those filthy Vox, and then double cross them if say, the Captain was willing to part with enough cash, but then most employees would be heightened to your deception of one crew, why should they trust you in their own? So yeah.. I think it sounds like a great idea.
  23. Occasionally Abrasive Martian Station Engineer, tell me how much you hate em
