  1. Updated. Bellumes firesuit.dmi
  2. Kill it. It's only gameplay use is to quickly unequip your enemies entirely, or hope they transform into a mob that will die from asphyxiation or incapable of harming you. The 'RP' it adds is not worth the poor handling it usually has in the hands of wizard players.
  3. I ahelped. Tranny is derogatory. Google it to find out. It's like if I called white people whitey or black people blacky. You don't do that, it's demeaning.
  4. I didn't design Necropolis, don't push that on me. Even so, they have two uniforms, one which is more cool and less intense than the other. Necropolis being full of hardass military types is reasonable and adds character to their corporation. This isn't really a negative, as much as it is a positive. I really want to know who else has a white shirt with arm badges and blue pants, with more likely than not black shoes. Who else has that clothing? I set aside a specific shade of blue for Security, and it keeps them from blending with anything else, coupled with the fact that no other department has similar looking uniforms with or without my future changes to said departments. That's fine. Which is why I'm more than happy to set it aside as a tactical uniform for NT. This isn't that bad of an idea, it means Sec is more distict during raised alerts even without full armor.
  5. This is not off-white. This is white white minimal grey shading. Ugly is subjective. I think you're wrong either way. What cluttered pixel-y mess did I make? Also, what do you think all my suggestion threads up for new clothing were for? Don't you think that- and me constantly asking for new suggestions for uniforms in each department- maybe suggests I'm respriting all the clothing? Oh, I'm sorry. I forgot trench-coats and fedoras were all the rage in the technocratic corporate future. But I guess business wear for corporate security is just out of the question. Me, personally, I always think the guys that look like this are researchers. Or maybe doctors. Here, this should help if you're having trouble distinguishing who is and isn't Security. Necropolis is expressly a more militant and security oriented company. They will have khaki uniforms and black corporate uniforms. Colour theory is not something involved with contractors. You don't seem to grasp the purpose of that update. No, you're not. That doesn't have any bearing on white shirts with ties.
  6. Even if you are, you are not giving the outward appearance that would correlate with that behavior. So what is your point? "lmao, you made Sec look less threatening and they're still threatening." yes, this is preferable to looking and acting threatening rather than looking threatening and being passive.
  7. What exactly is the issue with the white uniform? And yes. I do not like the behavior adopted by sec players that pick up the corp sec uniforms. I intend to curb that by limiting those uniforms.
  8. Maybe you need glasses or something. If the photo of what you want to look like is a guy wearing a windbreaker over a shirt and tie and you're whining about losing access to all-black coveralls, there's an inconsistency to what you want there. What fucking blue shirt are you talking about, too? The alternate? The standard is a white shirt. When was the last time you played? Where are you pulling this from? You want to talk about different uniforms for different backgrounds like you give a shit, even though this specifically gives Necropolis Security a more unique look, but I guess you'd rather they look the same as us but with a different colour accent. We're in a secure corporate research facility. So how does a shirt and tie conflict with this?
  9. This works for me. Give it a boost to brute damage or something, and less to burns.
  10. Mind you, there will still be an available black sec uniform on any shift- you just need to work for Necropolis, in order to wear it.
  11. Sec has always had a piss-load of alternatives. The only server that has a single sec uniform is CM for obvious reasons. I'm thinking we keep Corp Sec uniforms for Odin Sec or something, given that uniform is similar in design to the C/Tpr uniforms.
  12. Black sec is becoming rampant, and I don't like it. No more black Sec. You can keep the corporate caps, but the corporate uniforms are admin spawn only. This means the options are the standard uniform and the alternative blue uniform. Get your tacticool kicks somehow else. I'll make up alternatives for Warden and HoS soon enough. And yes, the removal of corporate uniforms applies to them as well.
  13. The player is no longer active in this community. So. Uh, I guess you can run suggestions for a new jacket by me.
  14. If this situation was so tame, perhaps Shadow can take the time himself to make the complaint. If the situation was so tame, perhaps a screenshot would have done the job any conversation did. I am displeased with the turnout here, but I expected it.
  15. It was never requested, so, again- pushing responsibility on to me. If he isn't willing to ask for a screenshot the day of, the round of, but more than happy to tell me to go make a complaint- I'm going to take issue.
  16. "Nah, il roll see if I get antag or not during round such as siege if I don't I cryo". What relevant information were you given on the second day that the line I just quoted didn't already give you, coupled with my initial ahelp?
  17. My logic on when I ahelp and when I file complaints is sound. If the staff team is made aware of an issue, and fails to handle it in time- it does not then fall on me to file a complaint against anyone other than the staff member. I have done my part as a player in reporting the initial offense, the staff member is in agreement with my reporting of it. It is out of my court, and up to you to handle it, whether they leave or not. Especially when all the context needed was already available. They made a statement that lined up with their actions- this was incorrect and needed to be handled by staff. The outcome, being me having to ahelp again a day later while the player was back online, rather than forced to make a player complaint- is not one to be happy with. I should not have had to ahelp a second time, I should not have had to refuse to make a player complaint. The player should have been warned or noted the first day, given they left before they could be DM'd. If you think being treated like a slave means having the expectation of handling issues you are already aware of the day of and not having players jump through hoops in order to get minor issues settled as they should be server side- I think you're in the wrong position. What mistake do you keep refering to? That the issue was not originally handled? Yes. He did not contact the player soon enough. That does not mean I am now responsible for seeing that the player's behavior is dealt with. It means that player should be warned or noted for future incidents. The point of this complaint is to figure out where we exchange responsibility for server moderation. I, the player, made the report. The staff member was aware of the issue and was given evidence of the statement. The staff member checked the player's notes. The staff member intended to contact the player about their behavior. The player left. Does this mean the responsibility for this issue is back on me? If so, why? Is it fair to either player that they should have to extend the length of the issue? I do not think it reasonable for me to make a player complaint against someone who from my view has made exactly one misstep in behavior, has already been ahelped and is not to my knowledge in need of banning.
  18. Try is the wrong word, as they were spoken to for their behavior once I ahelped while they were online again- as they would have been had they remained online the first time. I would say it is quite dickish to knowingly take up a slot for a job you do not intend to play, while trying to get an antag role. Is it okay for players to purposely aim for antagonist roles, while rolling for limited slots they have no intention on playing?
  19. BYOND Key: AmoryBlaine Staff BYOND Key: Shadow7889 Game ID: b2v-dDvR Evidence/logs/etc: Yesterday during a round of Siege a player spawned with the intent of getting a merc slot, and immediately cryo'd when they did not get it. They made this very clear in dchat. I reported this to staff. The responding staff member was not able to reach the player in time. Rather than warn this player so that they may be informed of the infraction next time they join the server, I was instructed to make a player complaint against them. I took issue with this. Shadow stepped in and enforced the prior staff member's decision to have me make a complaint against the player. I did not do this. Again, today, I ahelped while the player was online in order to get action to be taken. It was, when another member of staff handled it. Shadow once again stepped in to confirm when this incident occurred that I was referring to. They refused admit that it is the responsibility of the staff team to handle the issue, and that I was suppose to make a complaint. I am not going to make a whole complaint against a player for a single issue that the staff team is already aware of, and very capable of handling it. The reason for this staff complaint is I would like it straightened out as to whether or not it is my responsibility, as a player, to make a complaint in addition to having ahelped an issue that is agreed upon by the staff member to be an issue PURELY because the offending player has gone offline. Additional remarks: N/A
  20. They are not aware of the issue, they were not punished or directed to change their behavior. You intended to have me make a player complaint against them, rather than deal with it yourself. So yes, I'm going to take issue with that.
  21. Poor handling of ahelp. You recognized an issue with their behavior, failed to contact them prior to checking over their notes, which apparently took three minutes, even though off the bat their statement was not acceptable behavior and warranted a verbal warning. No one should be taking up limited slots in order to get antag roles- ESPECIALLY if the role they want is off station anyways, meaning the only time they're gonna spawn in that role, is when they don't want to play that role. Then, when you did try to handle them, they left. So, rather than noting or warning them. You tell me to file a player complaint against them, something that is wholly unnecessary and a waste of my time, an unneeded amount of stress on that player caused by a few days or weeks of waiting for an outcome to a complaint, and puts the handling of this very moderate issue on the back of another staff member.
  22. @Bygonehero I entirely understand where you're coming from. Concerning that complaint, I've long held the belief that Nursie made that call to ban me based of preconceived notions, rather than what was happening, why it was happening, the context of any prior notes, and just a general distaste for me. Though, to be fair, I make that assumption for most people. Other than that, I've been held up for the last chunk of a round as ERT for swearing at station personnel. I'm still not entirely sure whether this was an actual offense on my part or just some weird arbitrary implementation of their own standard onto how I should play ERT troopers. I've no idea if Nursie intends to come off as being aggressive or malicious in their actions. But it can come off that way. In regards to this complaint specifically, he went too far; he got a reasonable outcome. He doesn't have the standing or rapport with them to act that way and not expect an immediate ban. Honestly, this would have made more sense as an appeal, given whatever he can bring to the table is almost entirely outweighed by his behavior in the initial situation, and here. The only real thing that can be separated from the heated nature of the situation, is him being winded initially and ( @Yonnimer take this into account) Nursie very clearly rolling with the intent of banning him from the start, hence her winding him before actually talking, suggesting that she already made up her mind as to whether it was okay or not- if she was unsure as to the legality of his behavior it would have made sense to wait for the situation to calm down, and him to respond, rather than effectively remove him from the IC immediately. I can't really foresee any outcome of worth or weight to this complaint. Don't talk shit on the staff in ahelps and in your complaint reasoning.
  23. I also suggested letting all of engineering have access. And no, I wouldn't want some engineer pissing around security if he's not actively doing something. But that doesn't mean I don't think his ID should open the front door. The same applies to Sec. If you aren't there for a reason then you shouldn't be there. You can even have a regulation specifically about loitering.
  24. The 'fill' meter is weird on the new one because the way it looks implies it wraps around somewhat, which doesn't really help if you're trying to monitor the amount of gas inside, and standing on one side of it. Other than that, I like that it is muted, and has more detail. So, fix the fill meter, and I'll support this.
  25. More people with more access is good. I would include with this suggestion, giving janitorial more access, and engineering decent access as well, followed by basic access for Security Officers. Easier flow of movement would be nicer for all these jobs, and I don't see it being a detriment, given they'd lack specific access to individual rooms.
