I deemed kyres's actions during the original ahelp to be fine, as it did seem the ERT was telling them to surrender, or be shot. Same with how security was trying to handle it. It seemed like a miscommunication on a few fronts on what the ERT and security wanted done about Stone during the round.

One another question, how big are you planning on the asteroid dungeons being, least on average?

The idea sounds neat, something fun to do as mining, especially around the later parts of the shift. Although I can see a problem arising from miners rushing for these, right of the bat, ignoring their mining duties for the sweet loot within. And a concern with miners valid hunting with the gear they get. I'd suggest to have 80-90% of these be more like broken cargo shuttles full of crates you'd see cargo see, merchant ships with crates you'd see in the merchant outpost (the three that spawn), or vox ships with artifacts and vox items you'd see raiders with. I can't predict how it would go, though. I'd like to see it, just starting with a trial period to make sure it can be handled, especially with the summer tide coming in.

[Denied] ben10083's Head of Staff Application
Yonnimer replied to ben10083's topic in Whitelist Applications Archives
+1. I've played with them plenty of times, they know regulations enough to play IAA, and they seem capable of handling any command role. Their RP is also on point as a synthetic, doubt they couldn't do it well as command either. -

[Resolved] Player/Character Complaint: Hanna Walker
Yonnimer replied to BurgerBB's topic in Complaints Boards Archive
Wizard of that round chiming in here, just wanna put a little bit more of the story here. The first interactions with the crew I had was me teleporting into the bar, which Walker was in, and having her say what the hell to me teleporting in, pulling her gun out, and telling me to get on the floor. After a minute of a bar-goer defender me, a sec borg that walked in earlier tried to taze me, and I jaunted out. Later on after having the HoP say it was alright I was on station, I was at cargo when Walker started to insult me, including at one point saying that all xenos should be purged. This eventually went on to me giving her the book in an attempt to have her cease. Last thing that happend I wanna mention is sometime after me giving the HoS a student's contract, I was trying to give one to the RD, which Walker proceeded to disarm the RD, take the contract, and run off into maintenance, which they were arrested after. She repeatedly was trying to antagonize me into attacking her, or another crew member. Attempting to force the escalation into me being a hostile element -
[Accepted] ben10083's IPC Whitelist App

+1 App seems well done, and I like playing with B.O.B. He seems like he'd do fine as an IPC. -
BYOND Key: Yonnimer Character Names: Russo Trosk Grown By Star Light Sailing Through The Void Species you are applying to play: IPC What color do you plan on making your first alien character (Dionaea & IPCs exempt): Exempt. Have you read our lore section's page on this species?: Yes. Please provide well articulated answers to the following questions in a paragraph format. One paragraph minimum per question Why do you wish to play this specific race: I just really like the idea of playing a synthetic entity, specifically a human-like one, in a science fiction setting. Also the openness of the race in terms of what they know, and what they can do. Identify what makes role-playing this species different than role-playing a Human: They're completely synthetic, no organic bits, just all machine. This makes people see them completely differently than any other species, which could be in a good or a bad way. And as a species they don't have any uniform culture or accents. And for still being machines they of course have no true homeworld, with them all being built in different places throughout the galaxy, which can lead to IPCs all having completely different backgrounds from each other. There's also the whole not needing oxygen, food, or water bit and needing to get repaired rather than healed, which could either be seen as them being fragile, not being able to self heal, or making them tougher as it's usually easy to repair them. Character Name: Roman Please provide a short backstory for this character, approximately 2 paragraphs Ent-14, designated Roman, is a baseline IPC built in the Hephaestus "New ENT" line of IPCs in 2455, made to suit an entertainment-related line of work. They were eventually sold to a pub-chain on mars, where they worked for the next year and a half. Starting out as a waiter at a few different pubs, eventually becoming a bartender at a pub called The Old Man's Drink, which is where they were officially given the name Roman. They were eventually replaced and sold off to the owner of a local radio broadcast, which they worked at for roughly 9 months, eventually given the name Slav-bot due to their use of “classic slavic folk-songs” while hosting the radio channel. Eventually due to a repayment needed by the owner of the radio channel, Roman was given to a bank and auctioned off to Rustys Contractors, situated in Tau Ceti. Still under the name Roman, they served the company as a contractor, which they took multiple contracts working on a myriad of stations throughout the system. They got a contract to work at Nanotrasen vessels in the early days of the 2458, usually as a civilian-level job. During the Tau Ceti occupation Roman was sold off to Nanotrasen, but we brought by Rusty's Contractors, and continuing to work at Nanotrasen with the same contract. What do you like about this character? Just the simpleness of the character, but not to a snowflakey level or to the point of making them bland. How would you rate your role-playing ability? 7/10 Notes:m /b] Any feedback is appreciated.

[Accepted]Yonnimer's Head Of Staff Whitelist App
Yonnimer replied to Yonnimer's topic in Whitelist Applications Archives
I believe I would. I wouldn't just let lawgivers be given to cadets on code green, or let a lab assistant make drugs in the chem lab, or even go valid-hunting for raiders the second they're called out. But also still encourage people to make thoughtful experiments and projects to keep science interesting, but not just making it a bore-fest of the same projects over and over. -
+1 They're a fun merchant to interact with and it would be cool to see some customization with one.

BYOND key: Yonnimer Character names: Russo Trosk Grown By Star Light Sailing Through The Void How long have you been playing on Aurora?: 4 Months. Why do you wish to be on the whitelist?: Because it feels like the characters who’s getting it would want to be one for several reasons, and it seems like a fun experience. Why did you come to Aurora?: I was on and off ss13 for a few years on different servers, and Aurora was the the highest pop high RP server at the time, stayed because it wasn’t shity and was actually fun. Have you read the Aurora wiki on the head roles and qualifications you plan on playing?: Yes. Please provide well articulated answers to the following questions in a paragraph each. Give a definition of what you think roleplay is, and should be about: Roleplaying is about is being able to take on the role of someone or something else and playing it in a believable fashion in whatever world they’re in while also working out engaging stories with other characters. What do you think the OOC purpose of a Head of Staff is, ingame?: They’re meant to lead their department by keeping a level of stability while also keeping their department's work progressing. Which could mean teaching new players about their job or simply keep everything running efficiently. They also can also keep their department’s employees more interested in their work. What do you think the OOC responsibilities of Whitelisted players are to other players, and how would you strive to uphold them?: Whitelisted players are there to help set an example to new players or someone new to their job in the head’s department. This is done icly and oocly by helping people learn the rules of the game and how to do their job but also keeping them interested and making it fun. Please pick one of your characters for this section, and provide well articulated responses to the following questions. Character name: Grown By Star Light Character age: 42 Please provide a short biography of this character (approx 2 paragraphs): Grown By Star light is a collection of nymphs that were grown on the NSS Antlia. And for the next fifteen years they worked as a gardner on multiple Nanotrasen vessels. Working as a gardener they eventually became curious with xeno botanical experiments that they would occasionally help out with and the science behind them, which eventually lead them to getting an official education, and eventually them also getting PHDs in Xenobiological Studies and Advancement In Research at Mendel City Uni. After earning their PHDs they returned to work in Nanotrasen, eventually deciding to get a citizenship on the nearly founded Republic Of Bisel, as they only ever worked on stations in Tau Ceti. They served Nanotrasen faithfully while working with them for years, eventually ending up on the Aurora. Which after plenty of recommendations from their colleagues because of their work ethic, and careful consideration, they applied to work as a research director aboard the Aurora as they wished to better the scientific work done aboard the station. What do you like about this character?: I like the level of professionalism and interest in their work, usually having them wish to work over most other things, but still interacting with science and not being isolated. Also willingness to help others, usually with xenobiology. What do you dislike about this character?: They sometimes will be a little too friendly, rarely saying no to something unless it would be clearly used for harm. They also have a high tendency to do something mindlessly, which could be from making something useless, or giving something out that they shouldn’t. What do you think makes this character fit to be a head of staff?: The main reason they wishes to be a research director is because of how many recommendations (Icly and ockly) they have gotten for it by fellow staff members, mostly for their willingness to help each part of the department. Please provide well articulated answers to the following questions. How would you rate your own roleplaying?: 7/10 Extra notes: Any feedback is appreciated.

[Accepted] Yonnimer's Diona Whitelist App
Yonnimer posted a topic in Whitelist Applications Archives
BYOND Key: Yonnimer. Character Names: Russo Trosk, Isaac Jorgson Species you are applying to play: Diona. What color do you plan on making your first alien character (Dionaea & IPCs exempt): Exempt. Have you read our lore section's page on this species?: Yes. Please provide well articulated answers to the following questions in a paragraph format. One paragraph minimum per question Why do you wish to play this specific race: Big reason is it was extremely fun to play as one after starting out as a nymph. It was just a fun change of pace to try something different rather then always playing a human. It just felt really unique having the different interactions and the different mechanics. That and also I like the idea of a race thats composed of multiple entities to form one big entitie. Identify what makes role-playing this species different than role-playing a Human: One big thing is, is that all they need to survive is a source of light, they don't need to eat other then if they want the nutrients from the food. Another thing is unlike other races, they don't really have any set culture or a single home planet, least a known one, they all come from. Although some of them do share some cultural traits from some groups. They also aren't just one entite, they're a group of a smaller life form they combined into one to grow and better themselves. This also allows them to re-split into the smaller diona nymphs if they need to. hr][/hr] Character Name: Grown By Star Light Please provide a short backstory for this character, approximately 2 paragraphs Grown By Star Light was born a small, wee nymph on the NSS Aurora where they began to learn to speak, among other things, from the crew of the station, developing a curiosity for the world around them. After being meet with friendliness, curiosity, and hostility, they grew into a gestalt, and what would be known as Grown By Star Light. Although with this growth their curiosity grew, along with their hunger for knowledge. With this wish they became employed by Nanotrasen as a lab assistant back on the NSS Aurora, to work towards understanding about the universe and everything around them. What do you like about this character? I like the idea of a character that doesn't know much about anything more then where they were born, but also has an extremely curious mind. And I feel like they would be fun to play as ,as well as other people interacting with them. How would you rate your role-playing ability? 7/10 Notes: Please post any feedback, thank you for reading.
