While I don't personally think that the service manager is worth it mechanically, I think it's worth giving it a shot at the very least. I think there are some cool character concepts that could utilize some of the less-used lore (Silversun, for example) that may make things more interesting.

I think it is about time we add more human languages and open the shores up a bit more for everyone, to say the least, so I support this. However, TCB should remain obligatory for everyone.

Technologically, I'd say Jargon, Elyra and then Biesel. Militarily, Sol, Jargon, Elyra. Economically, Biesel, Elyra and then Sol. I don't think it's fair to say the CoC has a strong economy when it's basically Xanu and a bunch of allies with sparse populations. Sol is much more centralized, owns Earth (which is extremely densely populated and iirc home to quite a few megacorps), New Hai Phong and has the ECF as a soft protectorate. The ECF isn't a superpower in my opinion. They can't do fuck all in the grand scheme of things.

I'm not sure I'd approve of only nerfing laser rifles. I think it's better to give security alternatives to the laser rifle, first of all, that don't force them to use lasrifles on solo antags - carbines are not an option as they suck both stylistically and physically. Some sort of AP stun gun needs to be added, is my thinking. Add another lethal gun and only then can you nerf lasrifles. Because they're meant to be powerful enough to allow security to go head to toe with mercs, otherwise it'd be a stomp, as merc assault rifles are ridiculously powerful - so much more powerful than laser rifles that it isn't even funny. And mercs can buy laser rifles off the uplink to just bypass the one counter to ARs which is ballistic armor. Additionally, some self-healing may need to be added to the uplink.

I remember that at the tail end of August you were very negative in LOOC about staff and antags, the latter of which you would be directly interacting with as CCIA and making or breaking their gimmick. In fact, I remember quite clearly that you used some very colorful adjectives. What changed since then? Why should I trust you now to not commit the same mistake?

A role like this fits the command WL more than the AI WL in my opinion. Arguments can be made for both, but ultimately the AI whitelist is specific to the AI due to a multitude of reasons (the interview and the expectations placed on you are all AI-related, for example).

Their role isn't simply piloting. The name is meant to be more generic so they can be sent to do various things by the XO - department checkups, coordinating an away mission, ...

The fact that you try to justify it by saying "well it's not a direct reference" is all I need to mention. The references are pretty clear to me: from the joke among us gimmick suggestion in AOOC to the papers containing clear reference elements to you saying "there are impostors among us" on the common radio I have no intention of believing that this wasn't a reference. They were all talked to about it. At the very least, the ones we saw. You admit here that you did have the intent to make a reference. Whether it's "indirect or direct" does not matter. It's not allowed, end of the story, especially considering how obvious the reference was. Denied.
