I'll submit a new design that has a re-arranged interior.

Just tested out intoxication. I am very happy with how it turned out. Drinking an entire bottle of whisky will not kill you, it will cause minor damage to your liver and cause you to vomit everywhere like true partygoer function.
-
Being unconscious for long periods of time is next to impossible given how vomiting is handled. Every time you vomit, your intoxication levels are reduced by 25%. Implementing alcohol detection in mass spectrometers is difficult and I won't bother touching that. Only medical reagents are detected in the respiratory system. Anything else is unknown. As mentioned before in the previous thread, they have the same exact code as loyalty implants.
-
Will it now be possible to add asthma as a disability, with the cure being dexalin? That could be a thing, yes, but in a later update.
-
Added inhalers to the protolathe, the inhaler component itself can be produced, as well as the cartridge. There are 3 types of cartridges Small, which contains 15u Large, which contains 30u Bluespace, which contains 60u I will likely have to rework chemicals a little more to make it so that not all chemicals have full strength when inhaled. Don't want kids filling up inhalers with tricordizane and taking sniffs every time they get hurt for full health.
-
burger's #1 tip for malf ai: stop fucking hacking things and blaming it on the jews, your gimmick is shit
-
Chemistry will get 2 boxes of inhalers, which contains 2 inhalers and 4 inhaler cartridges per box. More can be ordered from cargo if desired. The cargo warehouse can spawn with inhalers, it's a relatively low chance. Could always make bluespace inhalers or some form of science stuff so that science can provide upgrades.

I was literally just telling you that it was always a feature, there is no hidden message behind it.
-
Much better. Marked improvement to the original concept. That was... actually part of the original concept...

You can use the autohaler in conjunction with a flexible mask, it has the same exact check that pills have. You do receive notifications when you go past a threshold, but it only triggers once. I don't really want to implement another entirely new framework. I'll think about adding statistics to the health scanner. The only reason why it's not on a health scanner is because of how terrible I am with UIs. Hextrasinel is covered by directive 4. It's an experimental object that can only be used in tests and whatnot, however if the Captain follows the approval process, they can be used legally. Syndites are likely contraband as they are a weapon of the enemy. I do not know the lore behind cardox, but it does what the lore developer behind cardox intended. I was thinking of contacting them and possibly talking about tramsuting the reagent into carbon or some basic chemical.

Buff temporary blinds, nerf most of the stun out of flashes.
BurgerBB replied to Scheveningen's topic in Completed Projects
I don't understand what you're accomplishing with this post. Security heavily relies on flashes to detain someone. Just making it blind would be a serious nerf to the security team unless you implement something for security. -
INHALERS Reagents can now be inhaled with inhalers. There are two types of inhalers: Auto Inhalers Cartridge Inhalers Auto Inhalers are single use inhalers that administer reagents directly into the lungs, much like autoinjectors. Currently, auto inhalers replace dex pills in oxygen deprivation kits. Autoinhalers are instant when injected into yourself. Autoinhalers take some time to inhaler into others for balance purposes. Cartridge Inhalers are multi-use inhalers that use cartridges of chemicals to administer drugs directly into the lungs. Cartridges and inhalers can be found in the chemist's locker. Some reagents, like dexalin, are more effective when inhaled. Some drugs, like bicardine, have additional effects when inhaled, such as directly healing the lung. INTOXICATION Intoxication is now reworked. Intoxication is now more closer to real life than the current system. Intoxication lasts much longer, is less jarring when it comes to the effects, and is more severe at higher levels. The code for intoxication was absolute garbage so this fixes it. Important things to keep in mind: You will likely die from alcohol poison if you drink an entire bottle of whiskey. Alcohol now lingers in the system longer than normal, meaning that you won't be cured of your drunkenness in 5 minutes. The effects of alcoholism are more gradual. Intoxication now factors in blood levels. If you have 25% less blood than normal, then your blood alcohol content will be 25% higher than normal. Stage 1: Buzzed An blood alcohol level between 0.01 and 0.03. Being buzzed makes you move slightly faster than normal. Stage 2: Tipsy An blood alcohol level between 0.03 and 0.08. This is when the drinker comes a little more dizzy. Stage 3: Drunk A blood alcohol level between 0.08 and 0.10. This is when the user starts to slur mildly. Dizziness increases, and the speed bonus from buzzed is removed. Stage 4: Really Drunk A blood alcohol level between 0.10 and 0.12. The user is now slurring more, and has serious difficulty performing basic motor functions. Slurring is increased. Dizziness is increased. Stage 5: Shitfaced A blood alcohol level between 0.12 and 0.15. This is when the liver starts to strain under the amount of alcohol in the system, and the stomach vomits up contents. Slurring is increased. Dizziness is increased. Stage 6: College Girl Drunk A blood alcohol level between 0.15 and 0.2. The user falls over constantly, and sometimes blacks out for a short period of time. Slurring is increased. Dizziness is increased. Vomiting is more frequent. Stage 7: College Girl Shitfaced A blood alcohol level between 0.2 and 0.3. The user falls over more, and sometimes blacks out. Slurring is increased, Dizziness is increased, Vomiting is more frequent. Stage 8: Consciousness Failure A blood alcohol level between 0.3 and 0.45. The user periodically looses consciousness. Slurring is increased, Dizziness is increased. Vomiting increases. Stage 9: Death A blood alcohol level that exceeds 0.45. The liver at this point cannot filter out any more toxins, and the lungs eventually ceases to put oxygen in the blood. Death will occur. MENTAL MEDICATION Hextrasinel acts a heavy antipsychotic that devoids the user of emotion and feelings, including anger, hate, and love. At high doses, it can completely remove the antagonist status of users, as long as the current dosage always exceeds 30 for at least 5 minutes. However, the antagonist status can only be removed if the player consents to it, if the player refuses, intense pain will occur, simulating torture. Syndites are nanobots that can remove loyalty implants as long as the dosage always exceeds 15 for at least 5 minutes. This is a painful process, and self-injection is not recommended. Syndites only work when injected directly into the bloodstream or breathed in, as the stomach acid melts the metal. ADDITIONAL MEDICATION Cardox can now remove phoron from the air when splashed on a tile, and also remove phoron from the bloodstream when injected, at the cost of toxin damage. This chemical is highly poisonous to vaurca. Calomel is introduced, and can directly remove chemicals from the bloodstream, at the cost of toxin damage. Overdose causes the chemical to work much faster, at the cost of it draining blood from the bloodstream. Pulmodeiectionem is introduced, and can directly remove chemicals from the respiratory system by inflaming the lungs. Causes minor lung damage, and oxyloss. MISC Coughing can now remove reagents from the repository system. Acid now causes damage to the lungs when inhaled. Breath Analyzers are introduced, and can be found where health analyzers normally spawn. Breath Analyzers can monitor the health of the lungs, the medical reagents inside the lungs, the blood alcohol levels of a person, and the oxygen loss from a person. A breath analyzer is located in the HoS' locker, as well as the Warden's locker. https://github.com/Aurorastation/Aurora.3/pull/4648

On this own, it's the worst idea I've ever heard. Flashes are the only way for a security officer to actually arrest someone. Unless you add force gloves to sec officers, I cannot support this powernerf. -
Reporting Personnel: Ilaeza Marwani Rank of Reporting Personnel: Quartermaster Game ID: bUa-dwBQ Personnel Involved: - Ilaeza Marwani, Quartermaster (Witness) - Zuhzir Mansurhani, Cargo Technician (Witness) - Caiden Moyers, Shaft Miner (Victim) - Gideon Oberick, Shaft Miner (Victim) - Bright, Head of Personnel (Offender) - Jordan Hudson, Captain (Offender) Time of Incident: Real time: 5:30PM PST May 2nd, 2018 Location of Incident: Cargo Nature of Incident: [X]Workplace Hazard []Accident/Injury []Destruction of Property []Neglect of Duty []Harassment []Assault []Misconduct []Other _____ (Place an x in the box that applies. If other, replace line and specify.) Overview of the Incident: A station engineer (Stephanie Clewett) requested an order from cargo for 25,700 credits. Allegedly, it contained parts to some sort of strange and unique power source that I had no understanding of. Zuhzir Mansurhani at the time was manning the desk, and appropriately told them that they would need external funding and approval for such an order. I do not recall who gave the order, if it was even a order or a suggestion, or who's suggestion was it, but the Head of Personnel Bright requested that funding was to be provided by mining materials. I say this because Captain Jordan Hudson seemed to have also shown an interest too. At the time, there were two intermediate skilled miners working their backs (Caiden Moyers and Gideon Oberick) off and it was very difficult for them to obtain 25,000 credits in a timely matter, especially given how there were plenty of other orders that needed to be processed as well as the usual material requests from science. I believe that this short-notice, expensive request contributed to a very unhealthy workload for both the Cargo Personnel and the Shaft Miners who work very hard to provide materials and finances to this station. I heavily regret not speaking out to the Head of Personel, but I cannot say that for sure given how the order was approved by both by Captain Jordan Hudson and the Head of Personel. Cargo account did end up producing the credits by selling phoron and platinum to central, however the miners did not receive any sort of gratification at all for their impressive effort, and science was still pestering the miners for materials. It was an incredibly depressing experience, and caused undue stress to everyone involved. Did you report it to a Head of Department or IAA? If so, who?: No Actions taken: None, given it was a work-related order from a superior. Additional Notes:
-
Mixed Secret is something that is good for MRP, not HRP. While there is more variety in mixed secret, I don't think antagonists would be able to keep up some actual roleplay when there is a wizard fucking about on one side of the station and mercs fucking up the other.

"In fact, I can't help but feel Coalfs willingness to speak when you weren't so interested an indication on things, even though you could've just asked to speak at another time, instead of what seems like dismissing it." Abo you're giving me clinical depression. I was going to let this go but now I just have to talk about it now. This is the conversation that went down: https://i.imgur.com/xSaoIXn.png I told him I was busy playing 2D spessmens, now, this wouldn't have happened if you'd let me do my thing and speak to him at a later date when I don't have things planned, like I said I would, instead of on a saturday morning when I was out, and a saturday afternoon while I was relaxing. https://i.imgur.com/tWMReCf.png There was some pretty gross miscommunication here, it would've been better if I approached him with things to say instead of being put on the spot in the middle of an AI round. While I appreciate your willingness to become a mediator, this doesn't help. Please don't do this in the future because it doesn't help.

Oh, I understand now. I thought "And I know that you both have a problem with each other." meant there was some personal issues that we had with each other.
-
Well that's why there's a list.
-
But, the thing you have to note is. At the moment, the best that could probably be done is a wrist slap given to Coalf. There's absoloutely not enough evidence to do anything else, nor the precedence for it. We usually expect our staff to learn from their mistakes and shortcomings. However. I have literally spoken to both of you over private channels. And I know that you both have a problem with each other. Coalf has an issue with the way you've implemented some features and your conduct around feedback, you have an issue with criticism and conduct. Both are more-or-less valid to a similar degree. Though yes I suppose that Coalf's handling of the issue could be more civil, but the issue would still be there. So the more positive outcome is for you two to find common ground and to figure out how to better get along and communicate with one another. As that would hopefully leave both of you off on a more constructive note and avoid future issues like this more easily. I'm not calling for coalf to be banned or demodded as I am not the judge, jury, or executioner. I don't care what happens exactly to coalf because I do not care about coalf in the way everyone thinking I care about him. I legitimately could not give a right shit about what he thinks about my addons or anything else, the issue here is that he went out of his way, to put it bluntly, be super rude. I don't have an issue with criticism. My addons have in the past, been criticized and I appropriately addressed them. I only have an issue with people who overreact (See: Peanut Gallery) and people who don't contribute anything at all to the conversation. Like I mentioned earlier, my only sin is attempting to speak to idiots who contribute nothing to the PR itself or make stale, overused memes. Skull, you're a decent guy, but I don't know where you're getting this idea that I dislike coalf. I don't know how I could convince you that I simply don't care about him, just what he says.

BYOND Key: BurgerBB Character name: Ileaza Marwani Item name: Unathi Purple Dress (Inherit: Sundress) Marwani Clan Emblem (Inherit: Body Armor Ragged Robes) Unathi Purple Boots (Inherit: Jackboots) Unathi Arm Warmers (inherit: Evening Gloves) Why is your character carrying said item to work?: Upon her small clan hearing the news of a possible marriage, it was only a matter of time before her more nosey relatives contacted her with gifts, blessings, and unwanted advice. One group of such relatives was her seven great aunts and seven great uncles who, upon noticing her almost exclusive collection of human clothes, gifted her a very traditional garment typically given to "reserved" unathi wives. Not wanting to offend her relatives, and anger the spirits, she reluctantly the oversized, and very cold to wear, moghes dress. The item itself will not be worn while working, however almost exclusively while visiting or on break. Item function(s): Marwani Clan Emblem contains no pockets, and no insulation. Unathi Purple Dress contains little insulation. Unathi Purple Boots contains additional insulation. Unathi Arm Warmers contains additional insulation. Item description: Marwani Clan Emblem: A large, decorative iron and brass alloyed breastplate signifying the industrial strength of Clan Marwani. Unathi Purple Dress: A strange purple dress designed to fit very tall female unathi, suitable for indoor wear in warmer climate. Unathi Purple Boots: Giant, closed-toe boots with extra claw space and support, perfect for those with clawed feet. Unathi Arm Warmers: Light, white cotton arm warmers fashionably designed to warm unathi. Item appearance: How will you use this to better interact with crew and/or stimulate RP? There is a seriously lack of strange, xeno, unathi traditional wear. Given how this is pretty much like a snowflake warrior princess dress, it's bound to raise a few eyebrows and prompt a few questions. Additional comments: I can make the PR myself as I need to experiment with clothing layers and all that given how it's a multi-item outfit.

Scheveningen "But Burger isn't an innocent victim here and he knows that he's still just as responsible for people reacting to him the way they do." "Not saying you can't, but I'm still gonna be judgmental and say it's flat-out stupid to backtrack and make excuses like "It was just shitposting, it wasn't serious" while not realizing that the only thing the subreddit thrives on is drama, half-truth, and sparse context. When your posts reek of legitimate agenda-posting that's expected of typical redditors, and people call the stink out, you probably need to recognize the problem that's being addressed." "Whether you intend to or not, you're contributing drama to the subreddit, you're giving non-server regulars a poor impression of this server, and you're also giving server regulars a poor impression of what your supposed intentions are when you post these things on reddit." "This is a poor form of seeking attention and you need to take responsibility for yourself on this, Burger. This is hardly an adult thing to do." I don't even know how to address a post like this, in a thread as serious as this. If it was any other thread I would point and laugh at you for posting some of the most silly things I've read on this forum. You're doing armchair psychology while complaining about harmless shitposting I do on reddit which the head administrator said is fine, I honestly do not know what to say. In my 1 year of being here, I've only had issues with 3 people: Coalf, you, and Kaedwolf, which I thought were resolved but it's clearly not since you're still making posts like these that are completely irrelevant to this thread.

[2 Dismissals] Animal Negligence [Binned: 05/05/2018]
BurgerBB replied to ben10083's topic in Rejected Policy
You know this reminded me to submit a tweak that makes it so that animals aren't always hungry -
"I did NOT get angry because you made fun of the code, I got angry because you made fun of the server as a whole for not accepting your ideas." "This is what poked me in the wrong spot, because you always do this. As soon as something doesn't agree with you, you run to some other website/discord to complain about the SERVER as a WHOLE." I am now bittersweet because this means that you blowing your lid was not because of a vast, complex issue that would take time to solve, but a dangerous, frighteningly gross misunderstanding of my intentions when I poke fun at bad features. I like Aurora Station, I like the server, I love the server. I code for the server. I work to improve the server. I contribute to the server. I play on the server. I don't play on any other SS13 server because this is the one I love the most. Saying that I think a mechanic is seriously unfit for HRP is NOT shitting on the server. Posting memes on reddit is NOT shitting on the server. 99% of the time when I post a meme on reddit, I don't even bring up the fact that it's aurorastation. Out of all the memes I've posted on reddit in the last few months, I think 3 directly mention aurorastation and they're not that bad. https://i.redd.it/ypm7uxfebqs01.jpg https://i.imgur.com/m0gGAI8.png (Title: Aurorastation is a state-of-the-art research facility.) https://i.imgur.com/Wsmnvya.png (Title: The Absolute State of Aurorastation) The rest mention either mention HRP or nothing at all, however if the memes are really an issue I'll stop posting them on reddit. As for other discords, I don't know where you're getting that information from. I'm part of 6 discords, 3 are aurorastation discords and 3 are personal ones that I have never mentioned SS13 in. In my carreer of shitposting on reddit, I've only received one complaint from a user who I think rescinded it after I spoke to them about it.

I just want to make an update on this situation as it seems that more people are giving their five cents or playing devil's advocate. There was some miscommunication between abo, coalf, and I regarding a conversation. I was under the impression that I made it clear that I would speak to coalf about this when I actually wanted to speak some other time, as I thought I made clear to abo. I was busy playing AI on a merc round so I did not have time to do an actual conversation, and given the accusations put forth I did not have the temperment either. My only two points that I put forth was "Abo is an idiot for speaking on my behalf." and "I don't hate you, Coalf." but honestly that's all I have to say on the matter. It's not that I don't care, it's just that I didn't have the time or patience to deal with this at the moment. Addressing people commenting on this, It's not stubbornness that's the problem (I don't even know how on earth that's related to this complaint honestly) but possibly passive aggression. I have issues with conveying the right emotions at time when speaking (given it's the fucking internet and it's text on a screen) and that's the problem here. I am easily provoked if a million voices are saying the same thing. For example I'm starting to get sick and tired of stale organ damage memes because it's now less humor and more petty spite. However, I don't think my passive aggression really applies here given how there was none showed when I made that junkfood PR and coalf made a complaint about it, and none was shown when I was speaking about how shit virology is given that how A. Coalf did not code virology or have any involvement in it, and B. The code itself is probably leftover from baystation or some shit. Unfortunately, I'm starting to get paranoid when it comes to this complaint when it comes to the overall reaction. I've seen this sort of thing happen in communities where they bring up the faults of both sides and using those faults try to find some common middle ground in this situation instead of actually addressing the problem. It really makes me believe in this theory as first the response to the problem was "I don't see some actual issue with any of this." and now it's "Alright both sides have a problem now." which frightens me. It doesn't help that this is literally the first time I've ever heard a complaint about passive aggression, and I'm not just talking about me. There are several members of the community who show this behavior frequently, including developers and admins, yet apparently now it's an issue.

Huge Update, yet to be tested. Added Inhalers. Added the ability for mental medications to add traumas permanently while the medication is active (for desired traumas.) Added the breath analyzer, monitors oxyloss, lung damage, intoxication, and medical reagents in the lungs. Replaced oxy first aid kit contents with inhalers containing dexalin and breath analyzers. Replaced the combat medkit spaceacillin pills with an inhaler of hyperzine Added two chloral hydrate inhalers to surgery kits Added space drugs inhaler to random contraband loot Added hyperzine inhaler to random maint loot (rare) Added breath analyzers to the warden's locker, the head of security's locker, Added random inhalers to cargo loot, along with breath analyzers Added strength multiplier effects for reagents based on method of consumption Ammonia is twice as poisonous when inhaled. Breathing in acid now deals organ damage to the lungs. Breathing in bicardine slowly heals the lungs, if the lungs are not completely damaged. Dexalin and dexalin plus are twice as powerful when inhaled. Hyperzine lasts twice as long when inhaled. Added feartoxin, a toxin that grants a temporary phobia and hallucinations when injected. Liquid phoron is twice as potent when inhaled. Sophoric is twice as potent when inhaled. Chloral Hydrate is twice as potent when inhaled. Space drugs are twice as potent when inhaled.
