Avelak is formal and distant on the outside, and can be strict with punishment if not shown a reason to be lenient. He's polite at all times, either way, and would choose to put himself in harm's way to give civvies the chance to run, should the situation call. I try to give him a slightly intimidating air when things go wrong, merely by keeping him stoically calm.

THAT REMINDS ME. Drinking a glass of milk will stop enchilada immolation from occuring.

Scrubbed a little bit of information from your post- we don't want skype names up for grabs. -
When I get into acting, I'm the recluse that nobody can find unless it's the stage director, or my cue. Protip: Explore the theatre backstage in your freetime while going over lines, you can find the best places to hide or watch people from.

This is a definite +1 from me. Valk is a capable RPer, and I'm also very confident in his ability to play synthetics. I can't wait to see this.

Jenna/Jennalele Eira Yates - Easily aggravated surgeon/CMO that likes her scalpel. Lirivien Kolton - Reclusive Xenobiologist with a doctorate. Part time triage medic. Doesn't like being touched. Ananda Santana - (Usually) nice Engineer that doesn't like holes being blown in her ship. Might have killed Sanders. Jade Ravera - Chill CE that likes robots and buying drinks for the team after shifts. Avelak Nirisha - Calamaricop Vesri Vassini - Calamaribomb Chenmo de Xiaochou - Lirivien's adopted daughter, EMT and First Responder. Better than Winston with e-swords. May or may not be Sabre. Lukas Wright - YET ANOTHER Wright Brother. Younger than both Anthony and Jason, and aspires to be a robutticist. A Rose Amidst Gunpowder and Scattered Ashes, Facing The Red Expanse of The Burning Skies Above - Somber Tree Narcissa Aucciello - Adopted daughter of a somewhat rich man, interested in genetics and general doctoring. Reanne Strafford - Forensic Tech and Sec Officer that has really, really bad luck whenever Noels is on station. Barry Miles - Awkward Cargo Tech/Botanist that thinks it would be really cool to get into medical if he had the money. The Glowing Embers Drifting through Endless, Swirling Infinities - Also known as "A leafy mess amongst black holes". Engi-tree. Synthetics: SIGRUN - Beep.exe SiNSIA - Experimental AI that likes to simulate chewing.

Something something, DO NOT PULL CRITICAL PATIENTS. USE THE GRAB INTENT. Small tip on Dex plus: Though it works in 1-2 units, when you need to take a critical patient dying of oxyloss, 2 units isn't going to do jack. A 5 or 10 unit pill would be a lot more practical. Just remember that the OD limit is 15 units. Don't pass it. Bad things happen.

I'm hoping to minor in theatre arts or something similar. I love stage acting, and I can play just about any string instrument there is. I actually had a harp until my roommate crushed it, and yes, I could play it. I currently screw around with guitar and vocals, for the most part, and I'd like to think I'm alright at both, though I play by ear because I'm shit with sheet music. Fun fact: I grew up around blues-y bands, as my mother managed two or three different artists when I was a wikkle Jenners. I think that's where I get some of the love for music- Sitting at the back of a venue with my mother somewhere in Texas, signed picture from the playing band in one hand and a soda in the other. It was a pretty awesome experience, and some of the live music (if you find the right areas) can be awesome.

Lord Fowl's Dionaea Whitelist
Jennalele replied to LordFowl's topic in Whitelist Applications Archives
I would have to voice concern. Though I think Bear's backstory is decent, most of the interactions I've had with your characters, such as ASIMOV, have left me with a slightly sour taste in my mouth, or at least a questioning of your grasp on other species. I'd have to watch you again or interact with him and your other characters to see how things have improved since last, but until then, I'm unfortunately against this app. -1 -
Here's a few of my "D'OH!" moments. As a Marine on Colonial Marines, threw a flashbang forwards in an IC hope that it would stun the aliens running at us. It bounced off the door because my aim was off and I flashbanged all of Bravo Squad. As the Virologist, misclicked during a lag spike and injected myself with gibbingtons. As Ananda, welderpack bombed myself during a space vine invasion. As Ananda, walked into a plasma flooded room. Forgot magboots. Hurt mechanical arm. Turned on welder in an attempt to fix arm. Subsequently killed myself and the hapless bald that came with me. As Vesri, set a toxins bomb with a timer. Activated timer. Set bomb in disposals. Powernet event happened. Blew up myself, may have inadvertently killed three others.

I enjoy RPing with Zip, and I think they'll be able to bring more squishy squish to the station. It's desperately needed, aye. You have my +1! I'm a bit curious about their personality, but I trust your judgement to be sound.

I'd also like to put myself out here. We don't want to breed an atmosphere like that around here, and I've seen it destroy communities. If not as a mod, then as another player, I'm more than happy to talk and listen to issues as well. If you've got a problem that has to do with the community or server, but you feel it's too small, it's still a problem. Trust me, I've /always/ heard sillier.

I like the idea of this, but I also saw a suggestion a while back about "good" hallucinations and trips, too. Maybe they could be a chance occurrence, therefore giving people an actual reason to maybe want to trip on space drugs and mindbreaker. More terrifying hallucinations for the bad trips I would endorse in full, though, because having ten Vira de Santos-es shooting at you is really just an annoyance, not too terrifying from the mechanic standpoint unless you really, really submerge yourself into your character at that moment.

Conspire2Ignite's Dionaea Application
Jennalele replied to Conspire2Ignite's topic in Whitelist Applications Archives
I swear I had a vote in here. Either way, +1 from me. I enjoy RPing with them, and this will be great to see in game. A good player IC and OOC that I think would be a great Groot. -
BYOND Key:Jennalele Character Names:Oh boy, you’re in for a ride. Ananda Santana, Leon Ortega, Jade Ravera, Eira Yates, Lirivien Kolton, Chenmo de Xiaochou, SiNSIA, SIGRUN, Hatchworth, Avelak Nirisha, Tpr Avenburg, Vesri Vassini, Narcisa Aucciello, Reanne Strafford, Aleksei Rogachyov, Alistair Enright… Probably missing some, too. How long have you been playing on Aurora:Since some point this summer, may have been July or August, I think. Maybe June when I first popped on, but I started regularly coming on mid to late summer. Species you are applying to play:Dionae What color do you plan on making your first alien character:Plant colored. Have you read our lore section's page on this species?:Yep yep! Please provide well articulated answers to the following questions in a paragraph format. One paragraph minimum per question Why do you wish to play this specific race:I think the Dionae are really interesting, and I love the way they “tick”. Not to mention, the threat of wilting when thrown into darkness makes them a unique and interesting challenge from a gameplay (and RP) aspect that I’d like to try out. No wilting trees! In general, I really, really like the opportunities for RP and development that they present. Identify what makes role-playing this species different than role-playing a Human:As is generally common knowledge, Dionae are quite non violent. …And slow. I like the general overarching theme that they bring, and the quiet philosophical nature and drive for knowledge that they naturally have. Why does this species in particular hold your interest? Much for the reasons above- I love their natural personality, their biology, and the challenges faced in having to play one. Character Name: A Rose Amidst Gunpowder and Scattered Ashes, Facing The Red Expanse of The Flaming Skies Above ( A Rose Admidst Gunpowder for ID purposes ) Please provide a short backstory for this character, approximately 2 paragraphs IT’S NOT TWO PARAGRAPHS I’M SORRY I GOT REALLY CARRIED AWAY I'M SO SO SORRY As many Dionae seem to come about in this era, Rose’s life began in the dusty back corner of a hydroponicist’s lab. This particular lab floated upon a small vessel- Not a station, but a veritable ship with a small, close knit crew. On this particular day, a strange, rusty-haired person turned to look at the little nymph as it scuttled alive from the pod, tilting his head with a mix of curiosity and amazement. He spoke a few unintelligible words to the small one. The confused nymph stuck out a small feeler, pricking from him a small sample of blood instinctually. “Ouch… Oh, hey, you’re actually alive, little guy!” As the little nymph grew and learned, Rose was often taken care of by a particular Skrellian scientist that was on board that shift. The nymph’s natural curiosity allowed Rose to absorb and learn quite a lot about how the station worked- How the machines in the lab functioned, and more. Mostly, this was through exuberant and excessive questioning, with outbursts of “Ooh, what’s that?” “What is that?” “What does this do?” being more than common. The science team of three came to take a liking to Rose, becoming a sort of “Department Pet” for the time they spent as a nymph. The crew was of only fifteen, not including Rose- The captain, three scientists, a cook and the botanist, four engineers, two doctors, and three general assistants that helped out where they could. They were mostly human, with the only three exclusions being Rose, the skrellian scientist, and one of the engineers- A Tajaran maintenance mechanic. The ship was oft quiet, and went about its own business causing as little issue as it could. It was only shortly after Rose had matured that they were permanently ejected from the ship- Along with everyone else inside of it. He was lumbering towards hydroponics to assist the botanist one morning when the ship’s floor lurched beneath them, as if they had been struck violently from a side. Lights blew out within moments, and for just a second, the ship was plunged into the darkness. The first true darkness that Rose had experienced. It was lucky for them that the botanist kept a flashlight on hand, striking up a dazed hand as the glare of the bulky blue light shot upwards. “I gotcha, big guy!” They began to turn towards the botanist to take the flashlight and lift him up in a flat motion. Not moments after they had set the poor man on his feet, the pair of them lurched again, forcibly throwing even the heavy Diona into the wall with an unceremoniously violent jerk. “Crrrritical atmospherrrrric deprrrressurrrrrrization, everrrryone… He does not know what the hell has hit us,” crackled the tajaran from the intercoms, “but he advises you brrrrrace forrr rrrough landing.” The Diona slowly peered out the window, the ship beginning to fall weightless as they slowly tugged towards the planet below. “He suggests escape pods.” Implying they could get to them. The Diona began to float towards the jammed-open entrance of the hydroponics lab after righting the botanist again, joined by much of the rest of the crew as they made haste for their only chance at survival. Three, if not four people crawled in per pod, the already cramped space guaranteeing a snug-as-sardines fit for all. As Rose began to fasten an unconscious doctor’s harness, the ship lurched again, violently, a large explosion wracking the whole vessel. It was not a moment too soon when the pods ejected, screaming towards the earth as they rattled and shaked. For those that could see up towards the sky, it seemed as if another shuttle had collided with them mid-jump, practically fused into the side of the vessel by now. The large wreck fell towards the planet, many pieces burning off entirely from the violent re-entry. But before they could see it collide with the surface, they plunged into icy waters. The steam and bubbles hissed violently at the extreme difference in temperatures, and the pod window was obscured in white as they rapidly slowed, soon after beginning to rise back to the surface. The four pods bobbed to the surface of the waters, and all seemed tranquil for just a moment as the feelings of relief began to wash over much of the crew. The pod hatches hissed open, and many began to clamber out, the cold water a much-welcomed embrace after the ordeal. But slowly, their attention turned towards the rich, red flames and black plumes of smoke rising in the distance from their wreck. The entire sky, painted red with fire, stood out like a glaring snap back to the reality of their situation. With internals equipped and spare tanks in tow, they began to set off as close to the wreck as they could, in hopes that the giant, flaming mass could pose as a beacon of distress for the stranded crew. It only took hours for technicians and rescue teams to find the stranded bunch. Searching the wreckage for personal effects and possible memories, Rose, accompanying the Skrellian scientist and the botanist, came across the shattered, ashen remains of the hydroponics lab. Miraculously, small amounts of flowers and fruit were left mostly intact. The rescue teams promptly tore them from the scene, however, and it was left as but a brief memory- The now shipless crew were offered various jobs and positions with the rescuers and their respective companies, and many of them split away from each other, or simply drifted apart. Rose was signed on with NanoTrasen in fields of science, where their story now leads. Newly transferred onto the NSS Aurora, they strive to learn and grow even more, their drive for knowledge leading them to the here and now. What do you like about this character? The backstory that I definitely went overboard with.. Er, I mean. Rose is an interesting fellow. They’re a character I think I’m going to be able to play quite well- The backstory came together quickly and naturally, and the stalwart and quiet, but still quite curious personality just fell into place around it as I pictured what would happen. I think they’re going to be a lot of fun to play and interact with, and I hope this works out. How would you rate your role-playing ability? 7.46 / 10, I suppose. Notes: Hi mom!

Diona Whitelist - Chaznoodles
Jennalele replied to Chaznoodles's topic in Whitelist Applications Archives
Oh dear god Chaz, all of my yes. I endorse the hell out of this. -
CKey:Jennalele Character Name(s)/Position:Jade Ravera, CE/Alistair Enright, HoP/Eira Yates, CMO Extra Notes:Jade is level headed and defends her department well, with reasonable loyalty to NT. Alistair is a formal hard-ass that loves paperwork and praising NT. Eira is Eira- To the point, does her job, makes sure everyone else does their's too.

Eira Yates. Almost unhealthily thin, pale. Hair has been dyed a brownish color, some sort of bob or short, wavy hair would be nice. Sharp and smallish features, grey eyes, minimal or no makeup. She hates dresses and skirts, try to avoid them if at all possible. She'd live in a labcoat and scrubs if she could. Medical career. Neat, Perfectionist, Commitment Issues, Proper, Bookworm. Oooooor, if a bit easier, Lirivien Kolton. Healthy weight, long brownish-red hair, straight. Rich green eyes. Softer features and a narrow, slightly long face, usually smiling. Seems kind. Little to no makeup. Would probably also live in a labcoat if you let her. Science or Medical career. Genius, Natural Cook, Friendly, Cat Person, Bookworm.

...Erik, I want to hug you. So, so hard. THATSMYMAJOR.JPG But seriously, yeah, this, if it can be implemented, would be absolutely beautiful.

I'd like to see that happen, Chaz. And do small, laser-pointer-obsessed house panthers count?

Sadi Disjal: More of a Tail then a Tale
Jennalele replied to Nik's topic in Whitelist Applications Archives
Yesss, female lizards! Nik, from what I've seen of him, is a pretty swell RPer that can definitely handle whitelisted races. I definitely want to see this on station. +1 -
It's usually something other heads will RP without the physical item being there, similar to people naming items commonly found, like flasks and gloves. I don't exactly see the need for a custom implant if others don't really need it, but I've also thought, if this were to be made more widescale, about being able to tick it off in the character creation panel to have one implanted as a non-head regardless.

I'm up for this! Found Aurora during the summer with a group of friends that I beliiiieve wound up mostly casual, or playing on and off. I've been staff since some time late September early October with a start as a trial, then got the bump to full mod. Hope to stay with you guys for a long time, too- Once I get some internet up in this place.
