Since Jackboot wants the response, everything I feel relevant to this Gollee already shared; He asked me on Skype for my thoughts and I gave them. There were things I thought Gollee was aware of that he apparently wasn't; I also can't speak for how Jackboot's been behaving since I stopped being a duty officer. However, the key things regarding Jackboot that I had an issue with when I was around: - His handling of an incident report against Travis Davis, where he outright ordered no contact whatsoever with any Tajaran or he'd be fired if my memory serves correctly (This was awhile ago, and was already addressed and handled) - The 'joke' faxxes/messages sent to/from CC by him, such as the time he sent a fax that just said 'Image of a penis' or something to that effect to CC. If it wasn't for the 15 or so minute buffer you're forced to wait through between faxxes on the station, I wouldn't have as big an issue with that. Also, this is just something I heard second hand, but supposedly Jackboot sent a fax like this just before an IAA was going to file a complaint via fax about someone and barred that IAA from sending his fax. No idea if JB was aware of that or not. - The do chat skype group. You have no idea how many times I would log into my computer, and have 100+ messages in that group alone that was stuff completely irrelevant to the duty officers, mostly lore related things or a discussion Jackboot kicked off. While official conversations on matters were supposed to be done in in-game dosay for logging purposes, the skype group was still useful for discussing things, and calling for a DO/Escort if we needed another one. Half the time, when conversations like that were going on, anything on-topic was completely lost/ignored. On top of this? Gollee decided to set up a second DO skype group. The first would be kept for DO/on topic discussions only, and the second would be for whatever people wanted to blabber on about. Jackboot refused to go with this, left the off-topic group, and continued to bring his discussions to the main chat. - And regarding things not being done, again I can't really speak for after I left, but at the time it'd seemed like I was one of the only people actually putting in an effort. Jackboot was one of those who didn't seem to be getting anything going or done. Especially annoying since he claimed the incident reports I filed, then nothing happened - Didn't even poke me to get an interview in. So there's my thoughts on the matter.

I'm not sure what gave you the impression I can't handle any of that well. Addressing Jboy's (unfounded) argument while also calling him a diphead is not actually ad hominem, so.

Is this complaint about Chaznoodles or hypatia?

I'd like to point out that duty officers spoke to your character, Seon-rin von Illdenberg, about her behavior, had basically told her this was her last chance to improve... And the very next round she was harassing another crewmember (Phoebe Essel), chasing them out of arrivals with a taser drawn, then continually berating them on comms after being told not to repeatedly, to the point that the HoS had you removed from security. And this is just yet another example of several issues with the character that fall in line with what Garn's referencing.

Actually this would be another case of me either hitting the wrong button, or closing the tab too soon when sending a PM (Which seems to happen a lot. I type up a PM, thought I sent it, and.. Better idea - Instead of needing a 'special headset', you just need to know (Or happen to stumble across) the correct radio frequency.

Just looked over this again and I've realised there's a sprite missing for the icon itself (When it's on the ground, and in your HUD). I'm temporarily just using the front-facing version of the wear sprite, but it looks somewhat awkward and doesn't fit with the 'folded' style of the commissar jacket it's clearly based off of.

You might be taking this a bit too seriously. I believe some people have started throwing accusations that a group of disjointed people formed a "memelord clan" or something of the like for sharing similar opinions. Other people are simply making fun of it. Honestly? With how you lot keep saying it, and acting like you're in some kind of clique, can you really be surprised people might be thinking that?

I mean no offense, but shouldn't our loredevs currently be focused on things like fleshing out some of the species more, improving human/sol lore, and completing what's there to be done before taking on another project? (I havent found a single reference to Little Adhomai in the wiki, and there's a lot of stuff that's been 'approved' in the lore applications section that hasn't been put up on the wiki.)

Senpaishadow posted on the first page saying he would read through this and write a proper reply, i can only assume something came up. Regardless i feel the community has a point here, where exactly do we draw the line between being a chucklefuck (against the rules) and just acting silly? this complaint here can set that precedant. In the past its been shaky and one of the more difficult things to make a decision on in the moment. Its entirely possible and likely we have been too lax and let it spiral out of control to become the norm. I think this is quite a large issue and needs serious attention. I have posted my thoughts above in the staff skype group so we can try to reach a consensus. Im sorry to only be able to say "we will discuss it" but i dont have the power (nor the inclination) to make a call this big and throw out punishments without other staff's opinion. In the mean time its to everyone's benefit to keep discussing this. It's good to know that it is being discussed at least. One of my main issues here is the activities displayed by these two this round are things that have been looked down on in the past, and I'm fairly certain people have even been talked to/punished about them in the past. An example in particular that someone brought up to me is Halo running around naked. Yes, he says he was stripped by someone else then joined the syndicates, but there was a good.. 30 minutes of time between me first seeing him running around without clothes or ID, and the nukeops announcing their hiring. He was still naked when he went SSD in departures. I distinctly remember people being told off for doing the naked thing - In fact, I remember there's someone who's been threatened with his whitelist being stripped if his character so much as rolls down a jumpsuit. And, funnily enough, that same person is someone that Frances joined the bandwagon against in a player complaint thread, while she's now defending a completely naked person here (A player she likes, this time around.). This isn't the only thing, either - I'm seeing double standards here, person A getting yelled at for something, while person B gets away with it, solely because of being liked or disliked. On top of all this, Frances is a staff member now (Loredev, in charge of a skrell). You'd expect something higher quality than this from someone who's in charge of the server's lore.

You know what, this is turning into a shit show, and not a single moderator or admin has put forth the effort to bother making a single post or reply. I'm just going to stop expecting the quality of RP this server used to have when I joined. Can someone please look over this and just give a final say, one way or the other?
