Out of curiosity, what religion does Meredith follow?

For context, we discovered discord has text to speech.

Helosi and Eshlian look to be the same person, and I did in fact believe they were when I saw them in your sig. They're not the same; It's mostly just the artist got a bit too similar in colors and I didn't think to mention it. Sairis' hair should be a bit more vibrant/ginger, Ariana's hair is an auburnish-brownish-red.

This is what I was thinking of when I was putting together the lists, but I forgot to include it in the job listing since it's not on the server join-as-department thing

If we're going for uniformity, we'd have to either give them black with red accents like the security hardsuits, or change the security hardsuits to have blue accents to match the rest of security (Why the latter wasn't done in the first place is beyond me)

DISCLAIMER: I am not a lore dev, this is not /officially/ confirmed, but is a good reference for seeing how much your character makes. Jackboot's confirmed that, currently, the conversion rate of credits to dollars is approximately 3cR : $1 USD (Subject to change when and if Skull gets the economy update rolling). Based on this, and the paygrade tiers shown on the wiki, I've come up with the following payscale after referencing the 2016 payscale for the U.S. military. The reduced pay column is for species that don't get the full pay (Tajaran, Unathi, Diona, Vaurca, and IPC). The numbers aren't exact; I rounded credits to the nearest multiple of 5 for convenience sake. References for everything is below. The amounts below are an estimated monthly earning for each tier within NanoTrasen. This does not include any potential fees, taxxes, benefits, bonuses, hazard pay, etc. NON COMMAND STAFF Tier Pay USD Equiv. Reduced USD Equiv. 1 4,700 cR $ 1,566.67 3,995 cR $ 1,331.67 2 5,270 cR $ 1,756.67 4,470 cR $ 1,490.00 3 6,245 cR $ 2,081.67 5,310 cR $ 1,770.00 4 7,450 cR $ 2,483.33 6,335 cR $ 2,111.67 5 9,445 cR $ 3,148.33 8,030 cR $ 2,676.67 6 10,225 cR $ 3,408.33 8,690 cR $ 2,896.67 7 11,385 cR $ 3,795.00 9,675 cR $ 3,225.00 8 12,690 cR $ 4,230.00 10,785 cR $ 3,595.00 9 14,845 cR $ 4,948.33 12,620 cR $ 4,206.67 COMMAND STAFF Tier Pay USD Equiv. Fortport's Tajara Application
SierraKomodo replied to Fortport's topic in Whitelist Applications Archives
I do have a question reading the backstory. Was she born and raised in Adhomai, or in a human controlled colony (Probably Tau Ceti)? -
Character/Player Complaint: Hackie Mhan, Ganking
SierraKomodo replied to LordQuailius's topic in Complaints Boards Archive
Quick note, that wasn't Tpr Helosi - It was someone that had gotten Helosi's ID after I had a very similar encounter with the warden. I'd actually encountered him twice, was shot on sight both times, the first one he shot at a welding tank and nearly killed me with the explsoion (I managed to escape, but was permanently deaf). Second time he lit me up immediately, took my stuff, and left me in a chair cuffed and deaf. Another borer had me released after a few. -
Alberyk's said what he needed, and this thread's already turning into personal attacks. Locking until an admin has time to review and make a final say.

I'd have to agree with this. I'd say if necessary, mute the entire channel for a short period as both a warning to everyone to cut the topic, and to give you a moment to mute the correct ckeys, then unmute the channel; Shouldn't take more than a couple minutes to do that I don't think. (Common tactic I'd use when dealing with similar situations in IRC)

I'm not sure if the extra tool spot will be accepted/allowed. Custom items are supposed to exist to provide RP in one way or another - Something that's dear to a character, something that affects a character or represents their history/status in some way. They aren't supposed to give you any form of additional gameplay advantage, even if it's just the ability to carry one more item that a regular toolbelt wouldn't give you.

Player Complaint: Chaznoodles (Josen Keelin)
SierraKomodo replied to CampinKiller's topic in Complaints Boards Archive
As this thread seems to be going nowhere discussion wise, and mostly just going back and forth, I'll be temporarily locking this thread until an admin is able to look through the posts that are here and provide input on this complaint. -
I can confirm shuttle doors are bolted normally. As a drone, ai, or borg, you can toggle a door's bolts by holding down CTRL and left clicking on then. Anybody else would have to screwdriver the panel and manually pulse the bolt wire with a multitool.

Player Complaint: Chaznoodles (Josen Keelin)
SierraKomodo replied to CampinKiller's topic in Complaints Boards Archive
Doesn't exactly state when the death's suppose to be carried out. I think the underlying issue is that someone who breaks out can be labeled uncontainable and promptly executed after capture. Apply that logic if the culprit was a ling or a wizard. Even when cuffed and in containment, you would be well in your right to prevent any possible escape for the future. I think it's worth noting here that the corporate regulations haven't been adjusted to account for any of the new laws and such the lore team have come up with; Since Biesel considers capital punishment illegal, and executions are considered capital punishment, it wouldn't make since for corporate regs to label executions as a valid option. Borgification however is not considered capital punishment and is a lawful option. I'm not sure where other measures such as removal of limbs/eyes/what have you for specific antag things would fall in regards to capital punishment though. Jackboot can probably weigh in more on this subject -
Allow me to highlight the parts that make me think this is a joke: As a side note, I do like the backstory. It's everything else that makes this sem like this application and the character are a joke to you and don't deserve serious answers.

http://aurorastation.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=31&t=4343 You've got a track record for not being serious, and acting trollsy about things. This thread shows a lot of it in examples posted by other people, and things you outright said yourself in response. Prove to me you can make a serious application that actually sounds serious and not like you're bandwagonning a catbeast meme, and I'll reconsider my -1.

Player Complaint: Fettuchini & Rigatoni Babaducci
SierraKomodo replied to TonyWillsIt's topic in Complaints Boards Archive
Were you antags? If not, why were you acting like antags? -
Read, Sierra. READ. Herp. I have a (probably bad) habit of skipping over the notes section of whitelist apps, focusing on the IC stuff. I don't recall interacting with any of your characters, but I like the backstory. +1
-
I thought you didn't need community feedback for an approved whitelist? Jackboot posted on another thread saying that if there's no feedback, then it's up to the judgement of the loredev in charge of the application and whatever's written in the application. I'm a bit confused by the usage of 'em' in the backstory; Is this a replacement for he/she? Or a second name Xinic has?

Ryan784's Coder Application
SierraKomodo replied to Ryan784's topic in Developer Applications Archives
Something that I think will help you out with this application (And apologies if you're already doing this; Been busy with my job so havent been following the github tracker lately), would be to fork a copy of the Aurora code and start working on bug fixes, small projects, little experiments. See what Skull or the dev team might want you to toy around with, and then send a pull request with the finalized code. It'll give you a bit more of a solid 'Here, this is something Ive done as a coder already for you guys'.
