  1. People ahelped that Doctor Strangelove was a reference, which is, so we asked for you to change his last name.
  2. Except by the fact that we had no weapons except two carbines and the retrolaser which we had to loot from the whiteship, since our gear was pretty much ransacked by the engineers and security, and the only things I had were force gloves and the energy sword which was logged into the captain's body. And was I said, you did kill me on the ground, people can't hold energy shields while they are down. At some point, I had to steal the captain's body from the chief engineer's graps by running after him with a e-sword, so, how could I have pulled another weapon at you? You do say that Yinzr gets innocent people killed due to this validhunting, still, as I asked earlier, you didn't show me any more examples of this behavior. And I do communicate, I don't act in stupid ways when confronting antags, I tell the situation over radio, I don't rush in situation in stupid manners. Several times I organize with officers to overcome and deal with situations, like I did by falling back to the bridge, telling Odin and arming us to deal with the situation. I could cite several examples when I did play along with antags and didn't just killed them without any kind of mercy. Like the nuke round we had some weeks ago, where the new cops claimed to be from sol military forces/odin personnel, I was the last officer to open fire against them and I did join the hostages when they pointed weapons at me while my character was trying to understand what was going on, unlike your claims that I like to reckless charge into situations getting everyone killed. But, yes, if antags are going gun blazing and attack people, I will fight them back. If you take some light-hearted teasing or boosting in ooc, which I do use to joke a lot, as proof of my valid hunting and shitcurity, I could cite passive aggressiveness or "salty" comments as a problem as well. I don't really get out of my way to take players out of the round. I do try to open dialogue and escalate force accordingly, I am not the first one to open the armory or try to arrest the strange in robes for being an intruder. For example; as nuclear operative, I always yell for non-armed/non-hostile crew to yield before shooting them for any reason they may deserve like yelling about people in red suit or trying to rush me with stun prods/tools. And I didn't really know you could not cuff people wearing hardsuits, I just found out in that very own moment. And as I said, I should I have tried other options and my actions were harsh and hasty. Still, it is hard to find out all mechanics and situations by just spending some hours in a test server.
  3. Also, I would like to add a somewhat similar incident that happened between us, some time ago, which also include execution of potentially dangerous personnel. This round in particular.. If I can remember, we fought in the tunnels and I ended being downed, and then, killed with a smg while being on the ground, because as you said, as an unathi, I could just break the cuffs and keep fighting. The point is; I don't really recall you trying to cuff me neither or use a neck grab, which were far robust in the old code anyway. I did call it as fair, since, I could be still a threat, even if I had no choices of saying I surrender or anything. But, what is the difference between a lizardman that can break cuffs to a raider inside power armor which can't be cuffed anyway? You made the call to kill Tarasque on the ground with the smg, without trying to cuff him or using a neck grab, because he could be not easily contained and you did lack ways to keep me under control. So, why is it so unfair or bad for me to kill you while you were a potential threat which, under my vision at that situation, could be not easily contained?
  4. Reporting Personnel:Sslazhir Yinzr Rank of Reporting Personnel: Cargo technician at the time. Personnel Involved: Marc Price, head of security. Abel Coats; detective. Jager Wolfe, captain. Time of Incident: Around 20 hours of 15/02/2458. Real time: 15/02/2016. Location of Incident: NSS exodus brig and starboard security maintenance. Nature of Incident: []Workplace Hazard []Accident/Injury []Destruction of Property [x]Neglect of Duty []Harassment []Assault []Misconduct [x] Overview of the Incident: I was walking in the tunnels above the dorms and I heard the sound of something being smashed, then I found an broken airlock, the one which is always bolted in the maintenance starboard of the brig, I removed the engineering tape from it. Then, the detective Jared Clarkson walked towards me pointing his weapon and demanding for me to explain myself, I told my situation and he said I was under arrest by the orders of the head of security, I explained that he would need a warrant in that situation, code green and I was only standing before the airlock. I said I would come to the brig, but, he did insist in cuffing me, which happened and then I was dragged to the brig. There, I was searched and security did refuse to show a warrant, even if they had no proof of anything, I was not in possession of any kind of object that could crush an airlock. Then security questioned and searched me, even removing my headset when I asked for help from the head of personnel and the captain. The captain, Jager Wolf, was present during this, and said he was unable to do anything about it, and that I would need to bring the issue to an internal affairs agent or central command. The quartermaster was also brought to the brig, while security was searching cargo for some reason. I was released later, probably due to the fact that security had no proof of anything. Take in mind that during all that time, Abel Coats said he was acting under the orders of the head of security, Marc Price. Did you report it to a Head of Staff or IAA? If so, who?: Captain Jager Wolf, however he said for me to bring this issue with central command itself. Additional notes: Detective Abel Coats did apologise for that and explained again to me that he was just following orders from the command staff.
  5. You had lethal weapon, fired at us with a laser rifle, so, answer lethal force with lethal force, I was not risking being murdered and let you stand up after being tasered. So, Yinzr grabbed the revolver, which was evidence, and used against the traitor, no one else had lethals weapons and there was enough place for someone to run in the equipment room, also, I am sure that tactical gear has protection against flashbangs. Using lethal force was fine and the only viable way to don't get more people hurt.
  6. Just some details; it was a heist round, and the only things that Yinzr, Ana and Akenzua had from the raiders were two thermals, a single cutlass and a lwap. All other gear were from the armory, like the shotgun and the tactical gear from the officers that attacked the bridge.
  7. I did shoot him probably more than 3 times, Yinzr fired the revolver around 12 times, due to the armor he managed to survive some more bullets, but it is rather impossible for the antag to be in soft crit, since one laser would deal around 45 of damage, so he was prettty much in crit. Since all spesssmen have around 200 of health and they get in crit aroud -150, for someone to died due to a single laser hit it would require them to have around -145 to -160 or far less if the armor did soften the blow of the laser. And yes, we were suffering from a terrible lag at time which turned the fight and all into a mess. About the cloning, I side with campinKiller's opinion. If Ana did try to arrest anyone because of a decision that it was not for her to make, Yinzr would surely baton some sense into her cat-head, but, we did relay the situation to the head of security soon as possible.
  8. Which is not the version we are using.
  9. The most recent version of the bay code already has this feature, pretty sure of so.
  10. ERT is really strong with the new code, they have access to several hardsuits, which can be equipped with a lot of strong modules, like mounted laser cannons, combat chems and etc, besides offering a lot of armor. The engineer hardsuits gives full immunity to shocks and tasers, by the way. Also, there is plenty of ammunition, besides energy weapons and smgs/assault carbines. Also, they have access to some utility exosuits. The best option to balance the new cops is to remove the 6 operatives always and return to how it did work before, based on the number of crew members.
  11. You were before the windows at the lobby, trading blows with another raider, while the cadet was behind you, I had a clear line of fire and when you ran away, dragging her, I stopped firing upon you. Still, she died due to the place being vented, which would happen if I was there or not. Also, you guys were the ones that escalated things to no questions asked by breaking into the brig and opening fire with lethals against us without words. Dragging people around while being in a fire fight don't really mean you have hostages, mostly when you show no intention of keeping them alive, by dragging them in a vented area, or don't even use them as a shield.
  12. You did claim that Yinzr get other crew members killed because of "muh honor", still I don't see other examples of this kind of behavior. And yes, I like to be in conflict, but I don't get out of my way to create more than necessary or just valid hunt in stupid ways, I am not the first one to grab eva gear without telling people and running after new cops with tasers and batons, or rushing situations that calls for lethals using non-lethals, or that officer that go alone and don't call for help or explain the situation over the security channel. And if the antags call for a talk, I do not refuse that interaction, Also, if we are taking old months posts, which were made in the spirit of that thread in particular, as evidence, I would like to point that I did this in really few times where there was no command staff to keep this kind of high risk item safe and I avoid doing so when there are a better possibilities. Also, cool, since we had no way to fight the raiders, we ran into the bridge, armed ourselves with all we could and told central about the situation. The cadet did die due to the lack of pressure/oxygen because the vacuum at this bay code is really fast to kill, yesterday we had around 4-5 persons dying in less than a minute due to a breach caused by a welding tank explosion. And I fired upon you two due to a fight between raiders happening before myself, and if I am not mistaken the other raider was firing an ion rifle against the pirate named BLACK BEARD YARRRR, so it is possible that all of your wounds were due to me. I also would like to add that the raider crew just broke into the brig opening fire at the officers without words. So, I go looking for the cadet, and I find the pirate in the brig. Take in mind that security at this point was only two persons, myself and the other skrell officer, due to two of us being nearly killed by slimes, in a xenobio outbreak that later doomed the crew, and the rest wounded by the raider invasion. So, in the light that we had no one else to deal with the other raiders or watch a murderer which was dragging someone cuffed in a vented area, I killed you, and I didn't really tried to chop your head off. And if I can remember, you wanted me to cut off the head of the other raider that fired upon you by telling over looc, but, I didn't strike any further than necessary to kill both of them. As I said about the cutlass thing, killing you there was a premature action, and I explained my reasoning, if I could easily contain you with cuffing there, I would not do so. Bay's code does favors more lethals situations than before, since, hardsuits as examples, offer a lot of protection and immunity to cuffs. Yes, it was a bad move killing someone because they could be a potential threat. But, I once had ert unloading a smg in my face when I was a downed vox because kill orders/no way to drag you around, so it was fine, or when people did defend executions of a cuffed personnel, by an implanted crewmember, because they were a catbeast and killed people due to the rp it would bring.
  13. I would like to see another examples rather than this one. Besides, there is little I could do while in pain crit and inside a hardsuit that bring a lot of slowdown. As I said, I do reason with antags and rp with them, I don't just walk towards them stunning without a word so I can be the hero of the day. I could just cite the wizard round we had in the same day, which when the wizard wanted to speak with security, and take in note he was been hunted by the officers, I did speak to them and didn't just tried to kill them in the hope of being the hero.
  14. No, as I said, I was not aiming to win or defeat the antags. I don't really care if I go in a situation and I "lose" or I "win", still, we had options to try something or not, we did make our decision. Rp was created of the failure of security, which was probably better than if we managed to drag her away. I don't believe I rushed into it, it was a closed space and we had the advantage of numbers and probably gear. And still, having hostages don't mean that antags should get a free pass to everything, people are still allowed to try things, even if that means failure. And I do recognize that killing you there was a premature action, carried out by the possible threat that you could pose by being unable to be cuffed, because people can slip out of neck grabs and I do see that happen. And due to the robustness that an exosuit can provide. Also, I don't deal with all antags in that manner, I do try to get in dialogue with them, still, such is hard in a vented tunnels while being fired by both security and hostiles.
  15. We were in the maint under the toxins launch room, so, all of us were in a really small closed space, the raiders were in the space before the airlock and the solars. As I said, I didn't rushed the situation, I told security about it and asked for help, which ended with more two member arriving and then I explained my plan, I did speak to them about my intentions. Security was crippled due to the assault on the armory, so we had the options to just let them go or try something, we decided to try something. If the plan did work or not, I do believe that it should matter little, because I was not trying win, I do tried to drag Essel away, and since she was stunned I could be above her to take the hits, but I was not fast enough and it ended in a shootout, if I didn't really care about her, I would have ignored all the situation since the very own start and rushed the antagonists.
  16. The hostage situation; I did back off and called for back up from security, which arrived another officer and an android. I didn't rushed into the situation when I meet it, I did explain it over radio and called for help, besides a fight between the raiders just happened before myself. And a traitor raider told us that they had access to our channels, so, I sent a pda message to Lyar about my plans that was stunning Essel with the flash and dragging her away. But, I was not fast enough to click drag her away and a fight happened between security and the raiders, which ended with the hostage being killed. It was not rushed, neither rambo, I had a plan that I did relay to the only security member that was able to help me in that situation. Having hostages should not mean that security should just let antags do anything they wish, we did rp before, we did talk, the plan didn't work. Rp did happen due to security failing in dealing with a hostage situation. We all had lethals weapons and we had a number advantage, we tried to reason with the raiders, and we had a plan. The other heist round; So, the heister crew breaks into the brig, firing against security personnel without prior warning or interactiong, I believe, which ended with one cadet dying due to the pressure later and one having a foot turned into dust by laser. We fall back, gather at the bridge and arm up, I go back to the brig and fight against two raiders. We still hold at the brigde, with the brig being vented and looted, and engineering didn't seems to move to deal with the issue. So, watching the alert console due to the explosion, I head out to the eva maint because of the probably breach there, which I find a raider trying to break into the vault, I yell my position over the radio, which ends with Kanza charging against me firing with a laser rifle for whatever reason, we trade blows with the antag and they run. So, I move foward in the tunnels, to be fired with lasers, I discharge my laser weapon several against the hostiles while holding the cutlass in the other hand, Kanza open the tunnels that leads to the tool storage and fires against the raider using the smg. I move against the heist, which I did believe that was on crit due to fight, then I find out that you can't cuff people wearing hardsuits, it shows a text saying that the cuffs won't fit around the gauntlets of the suit. Since even neck grabs can be resist in the new code and I was unable to cuff you, and taking in mind that I did think you were pretty much faded to die, I killed you, because you could be still a threat due to the nature of how the hardsuits work and I did believe that we would be unable to contain you in that situation, in a vented tunnel and with medical being flooded with hurt people and loose slimes. Due to the nature of how non-lethals works at bay, it is really hard to take antags alive, since it is possible to resist out of neck grabs and how robust a hardsuit can make someone be. I may have been too harsh and rasty in killing you there, but as I said, this code will shift confronts to be far more lethal, with the non-lethals take downs being really hard or risky or pretty much reserved to unarmored people.
  17. BYOND Key: Alberyk Player Byond Key: Sleepy Wolf Staff involved: None. Reason for complaint: Mercenary round, everything went as regular; bombing the armory and etc. So, we heard that the operatives attacked the engine and were taking the engineers as hostages. Then, command has to call the shuttle due to them being unable to space the supermatter which was going to explode. So, one of the mercenaries, played by Sleepy Wolf claimed he did sabotage the engine. And later when most of the crew was waiting the shuttle, around 4-3 minutes left for it to dock on station, the nuke squad attacks departures and then the operative vaurca charges into the departures longue exploding itself, by opening the valve of a TTV, and killing most of crew due to the fact that the NSS Exodus departures is really small. So, overall, pretty much terrible antag play by messing with the engine, which I believe that also fits in the atmos/singularity rule, and just rushing departures with the sole objective of murdering most people possible with a bomb. And due to the fact that I was involved, actively trying to stop them from assaulting the crew, I just ahelped at the time, but no one else was free to deal with the issue. Approximate Date/Time: 08/02, the first round of the new code tests we are doing this week.
  18. Yes, it does work very well, it is really hard/impossible to take down an armored foe, in a hardsuit, with a taser.
  19. The point is that I just fired once at Run time when the cmo left it before the cloning and ran down the hallway to his office, in none moment they saw runtime being fired upon or the nurse using the weapon, he just heard the laser's sound. In fact, he didn't knew that Runtime was killed because his body was throw into a disposal unit near the morgue.
  20. Something like that already happens in the new code, but most of the times the windows will be just destroyed.
  21. I am fully sure you can holster the traitor revolver in the new code.
  22. I am fully sure this is a feature that will be added with the new code.
  23. There is already an instruction for players to join with another character when using the spawn feature, besides staff will deal with them if they do so.
  24. Metagrudge is against the rules, staff can clearly see the ckeys of everyone, in their logs, and etc. So, if respawn and straight go murder security because they ruined your antag day, that is against the rules and we will probably caught it if reported or anyone is around paying attention.
  25. We already have something like that with incendiary rounds.
