You should make your non-military ships commercial by designing commercial engines. That way you don't have to keep maintaining and overhauling your ships, and you don't have to load them up with maintenance supplies. I still can't believe you got anywhere at 1 km/s though, so that's a serious achievement.

LiLITH is the research director I've worked the most with aside from possibly Tony Smith. All though she is cold and impersonal, features which are slightly off-putting, she is nothing short of professional. When she's on duty I can always rest easy knowing that the department will operate, more or less, like a well-oiled machine. She's definitely good at keeping the denizens of science in line. I think that her continuing chemical research is also really interesting, because it provides a certain sense of continuity between shifts in a really nice way. All in all, one of my favorite research directors. Also is this just a science department meme now? What do you think of X? I wonder who's next...

Yeah, but I have a lot of work to do before I git gud as an antag. I've only been an antag like eight times, and still have to figure out how to make it interesting. Remind me to kill you next time I'm a changeling though.

I should probably work on not being a good guy while antagging, but he is easily manipulated. Part of trying to make him seem more cowardly was making him more of a pushover, especially to fems. But Seon-rin is his best friend for sure and so has an even easier time manipulating him. It's also super dull for me when Seon isn't around :/

Yeah I noticed that operating table circuit boards were magically on the menu one day and allow me to get Biology up to 5 without a syringe gun with the new life support enabled operating table board. In a pinch it wouldn't be that hard to build a brand new fancy setup even if it has to be in a less sterile environment like a lobby or hallway, and it could even use (useless) upgraded components. All of that said though, I often find that even when medical is well staffed, there are some pretty steep wait-times for surgery even when there's no patient ahead of me. But that's more of a gripe against some medical staff.

I've really tried to paint him out as a guy who's job and professionalism means the whole world to him. But at the same time I tried to make him really friendly to facilitate integration into the Aurora community, which is why he isn't known for being a snitch. I think it's a bit of a fine line to walk between the two at times, but it at least makes for stimulating rp for myself.

That said, the usual ringtone accompanies at least a few lines of music, and I think it's okay for it to exist and be as obnoxious in-game as it is in real life.

But don't the Unathi put a really strong emphasis on warfare even to the point that it's impractical? I could be wrong, but if their society is so focused on battle then I'm willing to buy that they might build a big stupid super ship rather rather than feeding their peasants.

I don't think most of the languages are dead, they just changed over the centuries. But for simplicity's sake, you can just call the new abominations of languages according to their primary roots. Sol Common is so widespread because of the effect China had on the world and the colonies in the following centuries, and is basically a mix of Mandarin and English. Tau Ceti Basic is a similar deal. I've kinda explained that Mars war rushed by transnational corporations and wealthy countries of the world, so the majority of the makeup is North American, West European, Russian, Chinese, Japanese and Indian. Later, when space travel become cheap enough, a hordes of smaller companies helped diversify Mars even further. Russians would be one of the major groups. Luna, that might need a bit more of work, but would most likely be a similar case. I guess that's a good reason to work on actual history of Earth past this point. Who needs food, so long as you keep the nugget fed. The nugget can feed you if you use it to shoot bears. True, but I don't have much in the way of cooking materials. Starting a fire wouldn't be too hard given the woodlands, but I think the real difficulty would be finding something to cook meat on. Not to mention the trials of skinning and gutting a deer (or bear) with a nugget bayonet.

Are most Earth languages dead languages now, or do they still exist but Sol Common is the lingua franca? What kinds of people colonized Mars? For some reason, I always imagined it would be thoroughly colonized by Russians, because lol red planet, but I'm honestly curious as to what countries really came out on top in colonizing Luna and Mars.

I love Innawoods threads. Here's my current bugout bag loadout IRL.
