Pratepresidenten Posted January 31, 2019 Posted January 31, 2019 As it is now, the rig is on the absolute top layer of your spessman, and to be frank, its a bit silly. There's no reason why you shouldnt be able to cover up the rig with a jacket or coat. This would be pretty nifty with ninjas trying to blend in before making a big reveal, or for other reasons I guess.
Conspiir Posted January 31, 2019 Posted January 31, 2019 Of course there's a reason. Two I can think of right now before class. 1. It's a space suit. They aren't skin-tight. The sprites for jackets/coats are not meant for this. How is a flannel jacket supposed to fit over a RIG (both realistically and visually)? 2. RIGs in particular have a LOT (a LOT) of moving parts. Things retract and deploy. A jacket (and a cloak, which is why I was against cloaks doing this same thing) can get caught.
Alberyk Posted January 31, 2019 Posted January 31, 2019 This seems like a pain to work around with how sprites are layered.
kyres1 Posted January 31, 2019 Posted January 31, 2019 voidsuits, sure, but most RIGs look much bulkier in appearance and would require respriting the jackets to work with it. and that's a lot of sprites
LordFowl Posted January 31, 2019 Posted January 31, 2019 Wearing a jacket over a spacesuit would look pretty dumb.
Pratepresidenten Posted January 31, 2019 Author Posted January 31, 2019 I hope noone is thinking I want to put jackets OUTSIDE a fully deployed rig. It was more of a "Jacket layer goes outside the packed up rig on your back". Im assuming its tightly packed against you in its retracted form. But considering the points mentioned here, perhaps.. The suit slot should be disabled if you have a rigpack on? I mean, I cant be the only one that thinks the rig sprite is ontop of a coat sprite looks dumb af.

Butterrobber202 Posted February 1, 2019 Posted February 1, 2019 Actually, hiding a NINJA rig module’s spiny disc of death sounds great, true ninja skills.
Carver Posted February 5, 2019 Posted February 5, 2019 Only if activating/deploying the RIG with a jacket on destroys the jacket.
