AmoryBlaine Posted December 9, 2019 Posted December 9, 2019 We remove the SecHUD's occupational identifiers so you can't just glance at someone and see a big [?] to know they're wearing an agent ID.
KingOfThePing Posted December 9, 2019 Posted December 9, 2019 As far as I know, that's a bug and not intended.
Brutishcrab51 Posted December 9, 2019 Posted December 9, 2019 Hard disagree. Don't remove more identifiers that are used by Security/ERT to identify people quickly. Instead, just fix the bug causing the identifiers to display question-marks.
ben10083 Posted December 10, 2019 Posted December 10, 2019 Its not a bug, a ? icon is what the system defaults to if the icon state doesnt exist. Here is a list of occupations without icons (obv antags don't have one) (Sorry if I mess up one) CSI ERT (and cmdr) CCIAA Other Ghost roles Overall, this is mostly just a oversight.
Doc Posted December 19, 2019 Posted December 19, 2019 Allow agent IDs to pick what icon to display t b h.

Carver Posted December 21, 2019 Posted December 21, 2019 Agent IDs don't need buffs. If it shows up wrong, then that's a mistake on the user who set the ID.
Doc Posted December 21, 2019 Posted December 21, 2019 Pretty cold take. Crew can set custom titles while retaining proper job icons at an ID console; the agent ID should be able to do the same.

You can already do this in a kinda shit way by renaming the agent ID to the ID you want I think. E.g renaming the agent ID to "Captain" role gives you the big C.

That can remain just for ease of use, but crew can add custom job titles while retaining job icons, so the agent ID should be able to too. This is especially applicable if they're trying to impersonate people who are intentionally not station crew, but still want to appear officially endorsed by NT-.. or it can be used for events, perhaps even with custom ID icons added for them. It's just all around a convenience and positive addition.
