So it's been around for a little bit, the time has come for thoughts.

What do you like/dislike about Bluesec, do you have any comments about it, improvements, tweaks, changes, parts to keep, parts to loose, or make/get new of.

Try to keep this thread as on topic as you can, please don't post irl example pic without putting them in spoilers, avoid attacking or insulting someone else opinion, let us know what your thoughts are on Bluesec

My questions are examples to help you think about it if you haven't already thought abougt them

First Thought: Bring back Corporate Sec Caps

Second Thought: Warden and HoS Caps - Ditch the chequer boarding, I know it is common on real life police hats (even though we are sec not police) it just doesn't look right on this scale, personally I think a solid band would work better.

There's also only one variation of sec outfit. Which makes me a bit sad. A black and blue jumpsuit would be nice.

The HoS/Warden traffic cop hats are a bit ugly, honestly. I love the jackets, though. 10x better now.

While I like the uniform, why is there a tie sprited on when one exists in custom loadout?

Secborgs need recoloring, as does Sec hardsuit.

I dislike it. It looks far worse than redsec ever did. Very much want the old uniforms back.

I don't mind the uniforms, but I miss the red. Security looks too much like command now.

Just not this hue. This is more of a light blue.

I had envisioned a more.. deeper blue.

Seconding this. Please give the Warden the option of having an old-style uniform in the new colors.

Also, I notice that a fair number of regular Officers like wearing the current Warden hat. Perhaps it would be a good idea to make the current Warden hat available to all members of sec, and make a blue version of the old warden hat for the Warden?

Likes/Dislikes with each specific uniform:

Security Officer-

+: I love the 'Blue Shift' look you get now, as a Security Officer. It brings nostalgia and gives an entirely different vibe to the old 'Redshirt' look. Some dislike the tie, but I personally adore it since it lets me combo that with a holster for a proper 'Officer' appearance.

-: Low choice in headwear, no dress jacket, some people other than me prefer a variety of uniforms and one or two more blue suits might help them grow into the new look.

Warden-

+: Beautiful new suit and jacket, my personal favourite of the new additions.

-: Hat covers the eyes, still no helmet to match the Warden's vest during emergencies (I know the hat's armoured), having the old Jacket as an additional coat choice wouldn't be too bad.

HoS-

+: Identifiable, but still fits along with the rest of the department well.

-: Hat covers the eyes. Can't say much else because I can't peek into the locker, but if the trenchcoat's gone that's a real shame.

Overall-

+: Classy, yet functional. Calm colouring. Feels more 'corporate' than the last set.

-: Warden/HoS hats. Cadet uniform is still red. Borgs are still red. No blue armband.

Suggestions-

1) A slightly altered version of the Warden's base uniform could be given to officers for a nice alternate colour choice, without making him any less identifiable because of his jacket. This also retains a 'unified' appearance in the Security uniforms, as opposed to the old 'Retro vs Schutzcurity vs Cadet-tainted uniform' that made everyone look different.

2) (Annoying snowflake code idea) Give the uniforms an ability to toggle the tie via a right-click verb.

3) Reskin the cadet uniform and borgs to an appropriate shade of blue. Add in a blue armband. More hats for the Officers.

4) Stop using a gas mask sprite for the riot helmets, hair clips through the damn thing and it looks too small. The riot shield back sprite is also still red for some reason.

Hailers need to play 'Bad Boys' by Inner Circle when e-magged.

Additional uniforms (e.g. Black Corpsec Unis) and recoloring of old equipment is possible should it be determined we want to keep Bluesec.

Also the cadet uniform is supposed to be blue but I guess that got left out.

It would be nice if the sec hud icons for security peeps got recolored. I'm finding it difficult to pick out the dull shades of blue from every other dull shade of blue now present in the department.

Can we add a way for roll down jumpsuit to work with bluesec? Even if its the idea of 'Not wearing the shirt'? For Kylan Hadyara in particular, there's the IC issue of overheating, and it allows for a little bit more individuality sprite-wise

I dislike bluesec. Or, rather, I dislike the idea of security being nearly the exact same colour as command. No, I am not just talking about uniforms, I am talking about the radio colour, the floor tiles, and the airlock colour. At the moment, they are nearly indistinguishable from each other, and I worry that this could cause issues - security members thinking that they hold additional power over the rest of the crew, for example. If we keep the security recolour, perhaps we should change command, too?

I havent seen any confusion yet that Security has more authority now that they're blue? Only 2 Heads wear blue, and have alternative coloured uniforms that they usually wear instead. And there are only a few command doors that are blue and I dont believe the bridge has blue floor detailing. Stop worrying about something thats not an issue.

Bluesec is awesome, I want alternate uniforms and formal coats.

Command is blue.

Having two departments be nearly the same colour causes confusion. Medical's radio colour is already so close to the general frequency that it is difficult to tell them apart at a glance. Why would we make this be the case for several more departments? If we keep security as blue, I suggest changing command to a colour not shared by any other department. Perhaps a dark grey?

The command doors are dark navy with blue highlights.

Security doors are powder blue with gold highlights.

I literally fail to see how anyone can confuse that.

I don't like Blue security, i hate that colour, cuz i like red. Why i am saying that?! Because i am playing security most of the time and because of that colour a lot of people left security and now we got Guys like "OI! it's so cute, i would play security cuz it's so cute!"
