I just came here to play 2d spessmen games and hang out with two people, and I'm honestly just feeling so apathetic right now. It seems to be that this issue was resolved, all be it poorly and who knows there may have been personal bias. Don't get me wrong here, I'm not suggesting we all find a date to meet up, drink tea, hold hands and sing kumbaya all day. Though its getting a bit ridiculous, the entire thread seems to be, "I know people are calming down, lets just grab a hold of that scab forming over and tear it right off." Seeing as how there is no reason to debate anymore.. and in fact people have said that they do not know what the end game will be, aren't we all just giving a textbook definition of insanity?

None the less, how about those who have an issue try this, and I'm being serious here. Take a moment to compile ALL of your issues and thoughts and what you want done about them, create an end game for your debate, THEN start one. And, well, no offence but when someone says, "I've stopped trying to fix things now" then why bother creating the thread?

Long story short the debate seems to be several small points, some good, some bad, not organized. But if the individuals involved were to compile it into something that clearly stated out the issues, maybe it would gain more leeway, instead of just hanging onto whatever issue is currently at hand and trying to milk it for all its debating glory.

TL:DR, the scab of an issue has been torn free again and there seems to be no bandage ready from either side to help cover it back up.. if you'll pardon the metaphor.

i don't think there is any proportions being blown here, I mean people seem more focused on shoving this under the carpet then actual discussion. I think the only thing blown out of proportion was the amount of people doing that and people's reactions to it.

Yea, but this goes beyond just this thread, he hasn't changed his mind since the start, only the way he did the ban, which is horrifing because it only means that the future bans based on metagrudges will be silent. But exactly what points were not adressed by us?

Let me point out something. I am entitled to my own opinion, as you are entitled to yours. Saying that I should, as an individual, agree with you "just becuz" is shit. I won't, don't have to, I am free to gain my own perspective and develop my own views. If a desired "conclusion" is me adjusting my opinion of the person? No. Not inclined to. Not how I operate. I'll simply make sure that I don't act on it, thank you very much.

Now, let me tell you real quick something about being a member of staff. It's about recognizing personal bias, adjusting with it, and keeping it separate while conducting. Refer to my first post regarding the failures on that count. Those are legitimate issues, and we will make sure that they do not repeat. Cassy was unbanned in recognition of those mistakes.

Now what, gentlemen? Am I to apologize for holding a personal opinion of a person and being frank about it? Much like Chaz does for Sue? I mean, I could have just written a post about us simply unbanning Cassy, leaving out my own views on the matter, albeit I feel like that would have been a half-truth at most. Unfortunately, I am not a politician.

Skull, if i get what you're saying (and it's so hard to understand you that i might not be), then you're dividing your personal opinion and your admin decisions apart, but your opinion is same as Doom's and you think Cassy has been the problem child for months now, and totally deserved to be banned. But as an admin you think she shouldn't have been banned.

BUT now you state you will re-apply the ban (with a forum one) to her if she persists having your definiton of a militant mindset, even though as an admin, you unbanned her because of your self admitted poor, poor choices, choices which you still say are personally correct. So you're unbanning her but you think her ban was totally justified, because in your opinion she is the definition of "militant". So...fucking, god damn!

The only reason I can see why a thread should be locked is if continuing discussion on it would be more toxic than otherwise. I don't really see it happening here atm, and making "please lock" posts only adds to unnecessary noise.

Cassy has been a problem, not the problem. She's not Hitler. She's just caused more problems than she has solved them. I imagine the decision was intended to stop the problems from popping up, but apparently we got a big one popping up over admin oppression or something. Anyway, it's whatever. It doesn't really matter, especially now that she's supposedly unbanned. But, I suppose we only have the future to look forward to? As gloomy or nice as it is.

Like I said, this is what happens, inevitably. But it doesn't matter.

We're all gonna continue on. You guys are gonna play games you guys like with or without other people, Aurora's gonna continue chuggin' along until whenever. Nobody knows when the auroratrain's gonna stop, but it ain't gonna stop chugging today, or this week, or this month. The way it's set up, is to last, based on what faithful few we have left in comparison to your 'huge numbers', according to Cassy.

I don't even know how to respond to this, seeing as (while I was falsely accused for it), when people thought I was ERPing on the mining satellite, admins attacked me with brains and told everyone in deadchat that I was ERPing, where I was then shown logs of multiple players laughing at and mocking.

I know it's been said a hundred times before, but really - what about all those people who were straight up mocked and denied any real discussion when they had clowns and shit spawned on them when they ERP'd on Aurora? I never noticed any real answer in the two threads that have been droning on and on about pointless clique drama like diarrhea through a funnel, as opposed to the real fact that the staff here is being incredibly biased and two-faced at every turn here. At least Frances notices that, aye.

Sorry, adminerinos, but don't expect me to have any more obligation to treat you with a fraction of the respect I used to invest in you.

I personally didn't even know that had happened on the server with you because at the time I was playing as one of the space worms for the event. I apologize for not having noticed because I assure you I would've done something about it if I had been aware.

Thaaaat is incorrect. Every big people of big society/community are playing their own performance and drama for holding viewers to still watch it. Partly you are doing some"political" job. I can sur you, that if majority of players were on Cassies side and they will protest/leave do shit - then you will unban her or not eve ban in first place, even if she was right or wrong, but people were still on her side.

Edited:Otherwise you cannot make everyone happy if they have personal reason to break people from the community. And don't try to say that you are not involving yourself into it, you do have shifts for controlling community, otherwise how you can hold it for so long.

Last but not least, I doubt anybody outside the staff has such a view of the greater picture on the server, our actions within the community and the actions' impacts.

This is the main reason why i fear that people do not stop for a moment and keep on bombarding towards our staff. Seriously, are we human beigns anymore if we just want to anihilate with our whining, 'facts' and etc stuff to get the people away from the server, the same people that made this place all together, let us all join up and have fun in it? It's like you all people got tired of the toys you were having, threw them away and start crying to admins or start to miserably hating them.

Any way.. i think this thread is literaly going off track for now, and this is getting into a mindless debate over nothing anymore.. so why don't we all just shake hands, give a pat on each shoulder and forgive each other for any insulting comments we did to each other, lock this thread and move on to our little nice 2d spess men game?
