Apparently Security Officers being Shitcurity is an IC problem.

As to why this is so rough is because I DO NOT HAVE THE TIME and because apparently admins can't deal with IC shit, which is what they've made 'Security being OOC by not following the Corporate Regulations and jailing people for insulting them aka shitcurity'. Which is bullshit, since they've taken action against me for IC shit. Anyway, I cannot muster the time to wait until the extended round is over, (some people need sleep) and I've already gone over this too many times with the 'admins' to give a shit about proper layout. Everything you need is either below or at the Corporate Regulations wiki entry. On that note, I think you should really make it clear that Security and Medical probably aren't equipped or trained to deal with stuff from bluespace. I've run into far too many security officers who think it's their remit to hoard any and all things that might be dangerous without even checking with the people who might understand it. It's ridiculous both IC and OOC. The crazy guy who's teleporting? Maybe let the scientist search him for what's letting him teleport before you haul him off for sanity-treatment.

The bolded bits are what I was arrested for. Apparently the bits where the 'Ashai Dazai' character threw insults my way didn't merit arrest. I wonder why. The bolded and underlined bit is where the only command member (also the only person who had command over me since there was no other command member) told me to stop. You might note that I stopped right there.

Apparently Security Players being OOC by not following the Corporate Regulations and being shitcurity is apparently an IC problem and their hands are tied - notwithstanding the times I've been told off by admins for IC reasons.

This is for a staff complaint, not a character complaint. Make one on the staff that issued the verdict.

The Security Officer dragged him off to medical, allowing him to keep whatever bluespace device he used to escape instead of remanding said device to someone who was qualified to handle it. You don't give EVA equipment to someone not trained, you don't give firearms to someone not trained and you don't listen to said people's demands about the use and ownership of same. Why then would you allow a security officer to make decisions about a piece of tech that she has never used, been trained to use or been authorised to use? That is patently ridiculous.

It does indeed matter IRL, but that isn't important. The regulations here need to be extensively interpreted because we have so few of them. If we had a much larger system of rules then they could be more restrictively interpreted.

I'm not going to rain down punishment for something that may not have been worthy of it hence why I suggested initially that you make a complaint which would force a dialogue to sort this out. Second of all, this is a definite IC issue. You keep referencing vague "admins punished me for IC things" but I personally have not witnessed this and unless it spans into rule breaking territory it shouldn't happen. As this was IC, Catnip and I both told you to make an IR or incident report so that this could get sorted out in-character where it belongs. Especially when I ceased the moment someone higher on the chain of command spoke up. Also do remember that Security are not police. Yet all three are bullshit. I did not resist arrest, hooliganism I've already gone over and 'trespassing' was removing a pair of windows and a grate so that Katheryn could get into Robotics and subdue Tim.

My point is saying that the actions of the three members of Security were incorrect both IC and OOC, that the Staff decided to handle an OOC problem (people being OOC by being shitcurity) as an IC problem which just so happens to put all the onus on me to make long ridiculous reports and frees them of having to actually do anything and that at no point did I do anything meriting an infraction and that what I was actually locked up for was publicly insulting a Security Officer. Also that when it comes to things of a scientific nature (bluespace, unknown/rare tech, etc) that officers of security should defer to the expertise of those who actually have training in that area, aka Research.

I honestly feel this situation itself was something we deem as in-character conflict. It wasn't over the top nor does it any break any rules. Characters are supposed to exhibit a certain level of competency which they all have, that doesn't mean they are immune to mistakes and their own personal ambitions here. What both [mention]calion12[/mention] and [mention]SirCatnip[/mention] said to you was correct, that it was just an in-character issue which you had the capability to handle such as contacting a member of command or filing a report with CCIA.

The only Out-Of-Character issues I see here are from you when you decided to bring IC information to the OOC chat, which is a direct violation of the rules. Staff however were lenient in their understanding with your frustration.

[mention]SirCatnip[/mention] was under no obligation to further explain it to you as Calions explanation was sufficient.

[mention]SirCatnip[/mention] was not required to be lenient with your IC-in-OOC, but he was in consideration with your frustration.

I did not have to point you to the correct subforum nor correct your original post to fit the format when our instructions are clear, but I did.

I'm deeming their actions as staff to be valid with no issue with their verdict. You're still welcome to file an incident report if you wish to further pursue this, or don't, it's up to you.
