[Resolved] Staff Complaint - Delta/Scheveningen
CommanderXor replied to CommanderXor's topic in Staff Complaints Archive
I'm going to counter that by quoting a statement I've been given by Garnascus in the past: I either mispoke or i said that before i changed my mind on that stance. I am not sure which but i do know we do fix damage and death from cases of grief. I will be pretty liberal in retconning mistakes of certain situations. Such as xenobiologists getting eaten or a toxins researcher opening a plasma valve. Anyway onto the actual complaint. I really feel like this situation is all IC. It is a little unreasonable to expect all non-sec to never fight you unless you are both locked in a room or something. Plus those logs are pretty remarkable, the CE got turned into hamburger meat for it /shrug . But are we ignoring the fact that the Chief Engineer decided, instead of doing his job, and staying safe, that he would rather try and flank a heavily armed man, armed with a /chainsaw/ and a assault rifle, to try and kill them with a welding tool? It utterly breaks the character believability rule. He basically went head long in to a 100% guaranteed suicide attack. He paid for his life with it, indeed. But the fact is he still didn't value his life at all, opting to charge at a man armed to the teeth with heavy weapons and heavy armour. -
[Resolved] Staff Complaint - Delta/Scheveningen
CommanderXor replied to CommanderXor's topic in Staff Complaints Archive
You say that as soon as I returned fire, it became an IC issue. No, I was defending myself because the CE decided to grab a weapon off the Head of Security and shoot at me. Are you honestly suggesting I stand there and let him kill me instead of fighting back? He tried to validhunt me and murder me, I stopped him. As Sierra said, staff do not offer revives, regardless of the situation. Even when I was ganked as a antag while SSD, I was told they could not revive me. So when I was being attacked, it was either disable/murder him and let staff handle it, and maybe stay in the round, or, die, and let staff handle it, which neither happened. He died, but I still died. You didn't do anything. You declared it 'valid'. Even though he purposefully picked up a weapon to kill me, and even after being beaten back he came back a second time to try and kill me. -

[Resolved] Staff Complaint - Delta/Scheveningen
CommanderXor replied to CommanderXor's topic in Staff Complaints Archive
From my perspective it looked like the CE had walked in with a gun since he walked in through the airlock. But alright. What about when he decided to come back behind me and try to murder me with a plasma welder? That looked like validhunting to me. I had /tried/ to use non-lethal means with the energy netting but opted for the assault rifle/chainsword when you guys were able to just one-tab resist from it. -
I mean, no matter how much you try, nationalism/patriotism will always be around. It's more a sign of 'hey, I still support this 'country' even after all this'. So it's less about being a rebel and blowing shit up and more about just remembering back to the modern age.

BYOND Key: CommanderXor Character name: Sean Richter Item name: Black Military Beret Why is your character carrying said item to work? He use to, and still supports the old ideals of 'independence' for 'Ireland'. In reality this just stems to more influence for that certain cultural group than there currently is. After joining up with like minded individuals and studying history, he decided in the past to have uniforms and berets made for him and his small group. He can only really bring his old beret given the fact a Warden has to be in standard uniform at all times. Which doesn't include a hat, most of the time. So he brings it along to remind himself of old times where he didn't have to worry about much, and the old friendships and comradeships he held. Item function(s): It's simply a reskinned beret that goes on the head. Item description: A old black beret, a tri-color pin is attached to the front. Still soft to the touch. Item appearance: I don't exactly have any sprites, sadly. But I have a reference image. How will you use this to better interact with crew and/or stimulate RP? Well, anyone with old knowledge of history might be able to recognise where it is from. But really, it'll be so people will be able to ask what it is and he can talk about his backstory and younger childhood/teenhood. It'll also give him something to elaborate on while the mood/situation is silent and stagnant. Additional comments: I don't really have anything else to add beyond it being a beret and I lack sprites for it.

BYOND Key: CommanderXor Staff BYOND Key: Scheveningen Game ID: bNQ-dHTe Reason for complaint: Bias/favouritism. It's no secret that me and Delta are not on good terms, considering the incidents we've had in ahelps and such in the past. But this entire situation is a god damn joke. It was a merc round and I rolled merc. We mess up and half of us ended up getting spaced. Fast forward, two of us (Not myself.) Broke in to cargo and disposals. From radio chatter, cargo straight up tried to charge us with riot shields even though we didn't do a single thing at that point. AI locks down cargo, security responds and murders one of us, yadda yadda. Two or so of us are still in space. I finally get to the station and make my way in to the locker room. I start talking on to the intercom about religion, the holy Emperor, ecetra. Two officers charge in and take aim at me. I use a smoke grenade and energy netting to try and stop them. Netting is useless and they keep firing. So I open fire and blast open a tank and killed one, downing the other. While standing around and recharging my weapons. The CE enters and straight up starts shooting at me with an SMG he looted from a dead merc. Purely because I was there. I return fire and he runs off. Then the HoS comes. Engaging me, I have to open fire. The CE then COMES BACK and hits me with a plasma welder, trying to kill me. I kill the CE and end up dying. So I ahelp that the CE is valid-hunting. Delta responds to my report. I ask why the CE took a SMG and shot me in dsay, rather angrily, I know. He complains of Salt. I am then muted from Dsay, I ask for a different 'min to handle the situation, since I know Delta does not like me, and I believe it would result in biasm. He kept saying it wasn't valid-hunting because the CE has a military/naval background and he was 'just trying to help'. I believe this is a utter failure in policy and honestly, I believe it is bias against me given previous conflicts. Evidence/logs/etc: https://pastebin.com/U5P39ZvN Additional remarks: The above are logs from the ENTIRE round.

From the rounds I've had with you, you seem to follow the lore of the species you play quite well. Granted I've only seen you play Skrell and Humans. But otherwise you do a good job, sticking to the lore and creating well rounded, detailed characters. Your roleplay seems alright from what I've seen. Though I haven't really interacted with your characters on a smaller scale, otherwise it's fine. Fancy coloured +1.

BYOND Key: CommanderXor Game ID: bNN-ajQR Player Byond Key: Jackboot Staff involved: Alberyk Reason for complaint: Gank/little to no RP/general shittery. Right, so vampire round. I join at around 2 hours in, no transfer so far. So I walk in the brig to see Jawdat(Jackboot) pouring holy water down someone's throat. Nothing really happens besides me tasering and flashbanging someone trying to get out. Fast forward, he dominates the captain in to making him Head of Security and then suiciding himself. Pretty shitty move to randomly have a suicide order. Captain leaves and makes Jawdat Head of Security before I presumably assume he offed himself per dominate orders. Fast forward, there are a few people in the bridge, saying Jawdat is not to be trusted, ecetra. Me and a officer move in to ask Jawdat to get his implant since he has been refusing it so far. I hide the EMP weapons away at the IPC's requests and we make our way towards the bridge since Jawdat and the others murdered everyone inside. He at once orders that the IPC be detained and demoted. I counter-act saying for him to be arrested for basically exceeding powers and suspicious conduct. (Both for the refusal of implant and the firing of random staff.) He then immeditally gives me a dominante order to shoot the other officer and commit suicide. He spent the rest of the round running around murdering with himself and the thralls. (Which I all noticed are Tajaran. He murdered a borg and I saw him choking people in a cell. Little to no RP that round outside of his little Fur-Thrall group. Excessive amounts of gank as well. Did you attempt to adminhelp the issue at the time? If so, what was the known action taken by administration/moderation? I did, it took about several minutes to get a reply. Nothing came from it, just a few questions and then a restart. Approximate Date/Time: 2:10 PM, 2/04/2017.

So this will be my second ever attempt at doing a AAR. I'll be posting it here so you gents can see it, might cross-post it to the paradox forums later if people are even interested. Anyway about the AAR, basically I've taken as many races as I can think of from SS13 and tossed em in. From the top of my head, I recall making four human factions. The Sol Alliance, Bisel, NanoTrasen and ATLAS. I remember making all three Vaurca hives and all three Taj nations. The IPC Union (Not Aurora, I know.) and the Resomi (Again, I know they are not Aurora-lore) are in. I've added Diona, Skrell and even the Vox. As a twist I've also tossed in a second lot of synths under the name Glorsh Omega. Because where did he go? No one knows! In this we will be trying to play as the Sol Alliance. I have a bunch of mods installed so I can't list them all, but the galaxy has 2000 star systems and 17 empires in total, including my own. The other 16 are all pre-made ones. This obviously doesn't count any liberated or converted later in the AAR. Onwards! I hope you guys enjoyed the first part. Do you think I should keep it coming?

I see the points of both sides. The good and the bad. But I have a question. If a antag such as a ninja or wizard murders literally everyone on the station (Let's say it wasn't gank somehow, admins say it was okay or similar). Then what? Just sit around until the auto-transfer that happens at like 8 hours in?

[Resolved]CommanderXor - Alberyk - Warning Removal
CommanderXor replied to CommanderXor's topic in Staff Complaints Archive
I didn't tell any plans over AOOC, if I recall. Telling someone to get back in their body isn't telling them a plan, it is merely telling them to re-enter. It's not like I said 'Alright re-enter your body so I can summon you and we can kill the captain using these X-Ray guns we looted from cargo'. -
BYOND Key: CommanderXor Staff BYOND Key: Alberyk Game ID: bNr-adhB Reason for complaint: So it's cult, we're doing normal shit and one of us dies and fucks off somewhere on the station as a ghost. So while we get together the words, the materials and such to use the rise dead rune, security is hounding us down. So once it is all ready, we quickly say in AOOC 'Get in your body quickly'. Basically telling a ghost to get back in. Instantly Alb tells me off in AOOC and places a warning on my account for 'IC in AOOC' despite the fact that asking someone to re-enter their body is done all the time even by staff and no one bats an eye, nor is it really IC in AOOC since it's asking them to do something OOCly. Evidence/logs/etc: Additional remarks: Honestly I feel like this is utterly uncalled for and the sudden, rash warning placement and hostility in AOOC was uncalled for.

[Resolved] Complaint - CommanderXor / Cirukcaller
CommanderXor replied to a topic in Complaints Boards Archive
Right. From my view point, you were a threat. People claimed you were turning mice, people and borgs in to things. Such as the xenomorphs. Anyway, so considering things were going sour as power was dying and people just generally went SSD, I grabbed my three rifles. One for myself, one for another officer and one for a third. Anyway, as I walked around a bit because no one responded to my calls. I see you spamming staff on things in medical. While not a breach itself, it turns out they were borgs, which, tampering is a crime. Regardless, I shrug it off and move along. I then come back with a officer n the floor and you staff of changing him. Considering people screamed about you in the chapel. I took aim and fired after a few seconds. From where I was standing, it looked like you attacked crew members. Regardless, the xenomorphs you created had attacked me, and, you were trying to make more. So I went back and armed up, since the other officer cryo'd. Leaving me alone (Turns out the other officer was still active.) Considering you were just making xenomorphs at the time and I was attacked by them, I had to shut the source down. I walked in and opened fire since conflict had started earlier. You fireballed people, I opened fire, etc. I fail to see how this was any part 'valid hunting' when you broke regulations several times and security was either SSD, transformed or dead. -
It's a combination of Cult being intermittent to begin with, which compounds the inherent rarity of manifest spirit powergaming there. In the round I just played in where one person (the guy who plays Sean Richter) summoned 20+ Manifest Spirits. There weren't even 5 total cultists and he was capable of doing this. Good luck finding them and penetrating their inevitable doom fortress (pretty easy to hide, then teleport in your manifests) while you're plagued with disposable teleporting murderboning sword wielding zealots the entire time. Gotta break/dust/gore both hands. Again, easier said than done before they inflict significant casualties... and then when fully crippled they can suicide/dust and come at you again less than a minute later. Again, how do you track nevermind fight cultists in their hidden doomfort while they're summoning and attacking you with a limitless supply of teleporting spirits? Hi, guy who plays Richter here. The main reason I fell back to a fortified location, walled it up with wall ruins and sat back with manifest spam is because the moment we acted, the RD instantly called a ERT. Now, it's not fun doing all that effort of grinding through rune words and such to hopefully get a good sense of possible roleplay going to only have security instantly loot the tac armoury, grab lasers and call a ERT. Not only that but the RD straight up valid hunted by looting the spare ID, calling a ERT and printing weapons off in RnD before coming after me. That entire round devolved in to 'KILL THE OTHER SIDE' with the RD, ERT and AI trying to kill us all by siphoning, shocking, printing weapons, etc, with me. A LONE fucking cultist being valid hunted by the entire station. I used the only way I could of defended myself. Blood drain, manifest, teleport and armor runes. Please don't complain when you kick a antag so far in the ribs with the entire station, that the LONE antag(In a fucking GROUP based antag role) has to pull back and kick back. If you kick someone who is down like that, expect them to kick back.

BYOND Key: CommanderXor Game ID: N/A Player Byond Key: CommanderXor Staff involved: N/A Reason for complaint: You may be wondering, 'what the fuck is this? A shitpost?'. No. This is not a troll post, a shitpost or a meme. This is a legitimate thing. I think everyone agrees with the fact that I am a toxic person, that I powergame, validhunt, metagame, break immersion, what ever you want to pin on me, by all means go ahead. I've generally made shitty rounds as both antags and non-antags. I've flamed in OOC, AOOC and Dsay multiple times. I've got a list of warnings that span from the sun to the Earth in a sense. I've got a history, I've got a ban on my records. I've had too many complaints and Internal Reports to list. Don't lie, we all know I'm hated, so. I've decided to make this, calling for some form of action to be taken against me. I've snapped at people in DMs, I've asked for advice/suggestions from staff on how to improve characters, and it never flourishes. Honestly, I think making this will be a favour to people on Aurora, one less toxic person to deal with. I've ganked as antag, I've shut down antags as non-antag, I've insulted people ICly to the degree that people take OOC offense. I'm notorious for my behaviour, both with staff and players. Let's just end the charade, shall we? Did you attempt to adminhelp the issue at the time? If so, what was the known action taken by administration/moderation? N/A Approximate Date/Time: 10/02/2017

Uh, warden here. I think (According to Alb, I was that round.) If I am recalling correctly, security was out and about fighting the hostile heisters. Trying to remember, we had two officers out because only two suits. Ghul had arrived and I approved him grabbing a rifle and gear because hey, one more EVA-capable person. In my opinion, this seems like a unneeded ban, because he didn't really bypass the ban per-say. I mean he lacked the access, title, etc. He just had a rifle and armour. You could say the same for anyone who gets banned from a job and decides to pick up the gear from it. But I digress, I had armed Ghul because the situation called for it, with the heisters having bikes, one in a RIG suit (The red one, a Tajaran, I believe.) So I thought if we could toss another person in to space to fight, it'd be worth it. That's just my two cents and side from what I remember.

All of my support. Xeno has proven time and time again they are best at synthetic roleplay. They capture the lore and drive a compelling story based around it. There isn't much more to ask for besides 'MORE PLEASE'. I'd write more, but there simply isn't a need for it due to the fact they are that good for this thing.
-
Simple suggestion. When a blob/vines spawn, alert it in D-Say and add a follow/jump to button.
-
Right. Adding on to this. Just the other round the RD has a bunch of spiders breeding in xenobiology. To the point where they are literally everywhere on the station and security is stretched thin dealing with it and a wizard. Seems simple enough, right? So the virologist starts releasing a airborne virus for no reason and the RD says they 'approved of it'. So I move in to arrest them, since it's code blue and the station is in tatters from the spiders, monkeys, blob and wizard. She then grabs a fireaxe and runs from me. I give chase and head to the shuttle. Upon arriving to the shuttle I make a arrest. She throws the fireaxe at me, luckily not lodging in to me and I have to use a grenade and a flash to finally get them. All as non-antag. A non-antag head of staff should not be bloody breaking regulations and landing a HuT sentence. Since they directly resulted in several deaths and resisted arrest. This is unacceptable behaviour as a head of staff.

BYOND Key: CommanderXor Character name: Jackson Holiday Item name: Imperial Officer Uniform | ATLAS Armband Why is your character carrying said item to work? Because he like his uniform compared to a charcoal suit and frankly finds it more comfortable and stylish. The Armband because he supports ATLAS and hates seeing others allowed to wear SIM armbands. Item function(s): Exactly the same as a normal uniform. | The same as any armband attachment. Item description: A Prussian-Blue uniform with golden epilates and a silver chain that hooks around the middle. | A Prussian-Blue officer cap, a silver eagle is on the front. | A Black armband with a red stripe, signifies the wearer as a member of the ATLAS party. Item appearance: There are two (Three, if you want to include the hat.) The uniform consists of a set of Prussian-Blue trousers with a leather belt with a silver belt buckle with Holiday's family sign on it. The jacket itself is Prussian blue, with golden wrist sleeves. Golden epilates, golden buttons and a silver chain that comes from the right epilate to just under the left breast pocket. It is neatly styled and cared for. The second piece is a officer cap. Rigid similar to the Commisar's cap. It's also Prussian blue and has a silver eagle on the front part. The third item is a ATLAS armband. Black with a red inner line. Part of the ATLAS party. How will you use this to better interact with crew and/or stimulate RP? Well first, people may question why he has a uniform. Which would help further development by discussing who he is and why he has it. It may make some people hate him due to royal background (Eg, most Taj players.) It may make some people like him. The ATLAS armband will help drive both conflict and general development. Some xenos may hate him for it and some humans might like him for it, and vice versa. Additional comments: N/A.

The screen boots up, revealing in perfect 8k resolution. A young man wearing something that resembled a Wehrmacht uniform, albeit more crisp and slightly more blue. The room itself appears to be made of brick, a fireplace roars in the backdrop as the figure is sitting upon a leather chair with a red padding. A oak coffee table sits infront of him, resting on a circular red and gold rug. On the oak table sits a silver tray with a bottle of 1800s Cognac and a wine glass. The figure pours himself a glass and leans back, taking a sip from it before speaking "Greetings, you may know me as Inspector Holiday, or Lord Jackson Holiday. I am assigned as a Forensics Technician aboard the NSS Exodus. If you have any questions, please do leave them below for me to answer." The video feed slowly fades to black with a logo. A shield with two swords crossing underneath. A rifle sticks up from right from the middle. The words 'HOLIDAY' are printed on it, with gold. Before it finally disconnects the session. ((Here is the uniform basically. ))

I, Lord Jackson Holiday, Forensics Inspector, Security would like to register my interest in this gathering.

[RESOLVED]Complaint about CommanderXor
