  1. I agree that stationary guns would be better, really. The issue with that is that it'd probably be a lot harder to code than a minigun pack with a lot more slowdown.
  2. The main reason I think we need a ballistic rifle is the new vault, it adds a lot of RIGs with high armor values, including the Vaurca RIG that has 100 energy and 100 laser resist. Security should have something more than a sub-caliber pistol available under that kind of stress, without a measure that could be prevented like Cargo.
  3. Hardsuits/RIGs take up the back slot.
  4. I, for one, embrace our new Proto-RIGs. Let the skeletons be free! A lot of potential and even more fun in concept. +1
  5. I didn't think of it to be RIG-Mounted, actually. I was more thinking like the water backpack the janitors/gardeners get, or the minigun that you can order on the uplink. More like the minigun, though, because that has to be wielded and it has to be worn on the back.
  6. I had a concept that I'd like to make. A mix of Research and Robotics. A backpack and weapon combo similar to the water sprayers or the minigun, except it allows a human mob to use some mech modules. Not all of them due to odd logistics, but most of them would fit. The mech weapons/modules would have to be wielded to use, and using it would lock the user in place for about a second so it can't be heavily abused. The backpack and frame itself would be printed by Science, who can have Robotics print the module and install it into the frame. My plan is for some of the guns and all drills to be applicable, and tools like the gravity catapult. This would make it somewhat applicable outside of combat, such as allowing Cargo to move crates and such. There are other modules that I'm not aware of that'd likely fit, but thinks like the mounted sleepers and grippers wouldn't really fit or make sense. Naturally some of the very heavy weapons would have a chance to knock you over after firing, and in order to replinish your ammo count, you'd have to use a command that would last about 15 seconds and require you to stand still. Little cost for having a tool usually restricted to mechs on you, right? This is all subject to change, and I'm up to suggestions on improvements/nerfs on this.
  7. The racial martial arts are in the code, but not in the uplink. Maybe add those finally.
  8. That's the problem itself. This isn't an issue, I fail to see anywhere DasFox has gone too far but then again I've had worse jokes leveled at me in person and I know a joke's a joke. I've seen staff say far worse things and have no real backlash, but I'd be getting off-topic with that. I won't say that DasFox is perfect, but I think that anything more than a warning or maybe a ban for a few days is a bit overkill. I just don't see how this is much of an issue. That and I have no personal vendetta against anyone here.
  9. I'd argue that accusations of mental illness are far worse than a joking/ironic "GTFO" but that's just me.
  10. Now I'll put in my bit. DasFox, specifically, because they're the only one who I have a lot of contact with. I think y'all are failing to acknowledge the amount of change from their previous behavior they've shown. Sure, they've made statements that could be considered hurtful in jest but they're still a good roleplayer and and from my experience they're not ill-meaning to burger. It's banter, and even then, it's not the worst banter I've seen on the server either. I think you're all being a bit too rough because you're too caught up on their previous behavior to notice the shift to their more mild current behavior.
  11. Alright there armchair psych, no need to be accusing people of sociopathy.
  12. I'll PM you the .dmi files, I guess.
  13. You used to be able to wear galoshes as a clawed species (Tajara, Unathi, etc..) but at some point or another they became locked to humans and Skrell. I want this reverted as a quality of life change for janitors, it's why I stopped playing janitor a while ago.
  14. It won't be a null object, it will just let you flick holy water over a tile/person. Think of it like a spray bottle that's locked to 5u sprays.
  15. It de-cults, blesses areas so visible ghosts can't pass, and enrages vampires. That's about it, but it's good for fluff and blessings.
  16. Aspergillum Hands.dmi Aspergillum.dmi The in-hand and icon states.
  17. I want nothing more than to improve Chaplains. Since being able to bless weapons/armors/objects isn't plausible for the foreseeable future, I will do the next best thing: give them a vector to spread holy water with. They *used* to have a spray bottle for this, but that is unholy and honestly disrespectful, so I suggest a proper instrument: An Aspergillum. The sprites are below, and the .dmi is coming soon
  18. I want to see your nasty robot feet +1
  19. Also, can we add one to the Merchant shuttle? I had Telesci steal a lot of stuff from me as Merchant a bit ago, and it seems plausible that the merchants would bring something to prevent that on a known Telescience-Operating station.

  22. This looks nothing like the Saber, and being a full rifle it would have a longer range increment than the Saber machine pistol. In the case that you've forgotten, I'll post the Saber sprite for you . As opposed to the sprite for the NT Mk. 43:
  23. The way lasers/bullets ricochet off of things like the energy shields and Juggernauts can be re-purposed into a ricochet for this gun, unless that's too hard to code, in which case I can probably just have it do more damage or think of another gimmick to make up for it being single action.
  24. The dot also stays over your eye when you take it off sometimes.
