  1. I can vouch for MattAtlas, I was a good friend with one of their skrell and it was very wholesome. +1
  2. My main man, my miner man, my dude. Talon Hatfield, Shaft Miner, has arrived with a feedback thread. Put down what you think, what you know, and what you want to find out ICly.
  3. Hardsuits and RIGsuits are interchangeable terms, it's kinda strange but that's the Aurora EVA terms for you.
  4. I got around to making the belt sprites and overlays for it: The belt sprites: The gun overlay: The bullet overlays: 1-4 are on the front, 5 is facing right, 6-7 are facing left: Front facing: Right-facing: Left-facing:
  5. It might be, but it also adds in an interesting gimmick weapon that could improve gameplay, unlike the Decard .44 which is just a reskinned detective revolver. The vast majority of items in the game are references, so does it really make a difference?
  6. I had a concept for an item: The Trickster Revolver An antag item that comes in a "Trickster's kit" which would be a box that has inside: Western Belt, Trickster Revolver, and 12 rounds of .45 ammunition. The revolver would be a .45 revolver that does slightly more damage than the Mk58, but can't be reloaded with a speedloader. It's advantage, though, is two things. 1. You can do revolver tricks that display a message to the people around you, to show off. 2. You can ricochet off of walls to hit enemies behind cover. Why would we want to add in a new gun, you may ask, and why this? Well, people always want some new things to mix up antag gimmicks and make some things more interesting. Alright so I nearly forgot to list a big piece: It's single action. You have to manually cock it, unlike other guns, as well as manually load it. I have made two sprites, one with the hammer back and one with the hammer down. I will make the belt soon.
  7. The Engineer suits aren't hardsuits, unless you mean the CE Hardsuit. Though I would like a mechanical disadvantage to wearing Hardsuits and Voidsuits other than just 'uncomfortable' messages, being a mining main. The messages of discomfort would be very annoying for Tajara players because you'd have those on top of the overheating messages.
  8. I would like to suggest making it so Vampires have no pulse, or can stop their pulse at will. Vampires are undead, and don't really need to circulate blood. There are other things you could do with this, making it so stopping their heart makes them disappear from thermal vision, however there's also the problem of balance. If only making it so you can stop/start it at will, it can make it a lot easier to escape or hide by playing dead.
  9. Y'all medical dudes know you're supposed to tell people they were cloned, right? At least, that was policy unless it's been changed.
  10. I've seen the name in bugfixes and he's pretty good at what he fixes so I give it a +1
  11. Since we have the HUDPatches, why not toss in the proper goggles for the HUD?
  12. Yes but does it make sense to charge a giant man-eating beast the size of you with a toolbox or a wrench? That and the fact that Tunnel Dwellers have a ranged laser that can put you into crit pretty fast if you're not careful on managing the groups of them Plus "Not worth the side effects" implies that an HoS would allow you to carry this, gun permits are few and far between. This is mostly meant to be ordered for Rev and the like to get as opposed to rifles and shotguns. A cheap gun to arm everyone instead of a few getting weapons and armor and the rest having to go torch and pitchfork.
  13. It's not reliance, it's encouraging inter-departmental relationship. It's actually reliance.
  14. The drones only ever go that far out because it loses control of them. Any time a ship shows up, it's out of the Icarus' range. As for 'why would civilians interact with the big angry things' it's because EVA roles exist. Shaft miner, Engineer(barely), and Xenoarchaeology/Anomalist. One could argue that they could use tools as makeshift weapons, but that's a whole can of worms that's not worth opening. The only other weapon that Cargo has that'd be realistically approved for civilian carry is the derringer, which as opposed to the 'potential brain damage' some say this could give, can just headgib any antag coming after you.
  15. A corporate research station. That is out of the Icarus' range. With various non-antag threats (Carp, tunnel dwellers, etc.) Frequent visits from traders, some of which are Vox who are known to be possibly violent or dangerous. On top of that, while the ISD is reliable at best, it's completely dysfunctional at worst.
  16. While I wasn't very involved, I certainly enjoyed the news it presented. It was dynamic with the playerbase and it seemed like a lot of people liked it. +1
  17. Changed the name to be more accurate.
  18. A new gun, yes, another gun thread from the infamous Dronz. However, unlike most guns, this one isn't marketed towards Security or Antags, but civilians. A gun made for self-defense, not combat: The Everyman. A 10mm pistol that holds five shots and is loaded with a stripper clip, popular for self-defense on Mars. It will be orderable through cargo and bought the Merchant, it's cheap and meant to be avalible to most people with a decent-paying job. What will it add to gameplay? A gun made and marketed for civilian carry, something that arguably isn't in the game, and since it's a stripper clip gun, it encourages them to fire while running away. The 10mm ammo type isn't very avalible, either, so you wouldn't be printing these clips from Cargo. The gun itself: The gun with an empty magazine: The magazine at different portions of being loaded:
  19. A lot of people have asked for human body markings with ideas of tattoos and the like, but here's some ideas I had: Heterochromia - Allows you to change the color of a single eye, right or left. For people who want to be blind in one eye, had only one mechanical eye, or be a snowflake. Scars - Scars of various sizes on the arms/legs/upper body/head. For people who get injured often and want to show that. Surgical and actual injuries, possibly. Discolored skin patches - For people who have had skin grafts and/or birth defects that would effect their skin to make it be a different color in patches. Tattoos - Just some simple tattoos that would be meaningless fluff. For those people who want to be edgy and cool, or just a wannabe badass. Things like lines, patterns, the like.
  20. Cargo regularly does this. I've seen it, and I've done it myself. Cargo doesn't care about getting in trouble.
  21. That implies Security won't just ask Cargo to hack the autolathe and give them lethals to work around a stubborn non-lethal warden.
  22. This would be a nice idea for the E-Pistol buff thread I made in tandem for this. https://forums.aurorastation.org/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=11464
  23. In tandem with my Sec gun replacement thread(Found here: https://forums.aurorastation.org/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=11463), an E-Pistol buff thread. Make the E-Pistol hold eight as opposed to five shots, so that it's not so shit. If it's to become a mainstay weapon for our boys in corporate blue, it needs to be useful and not a shitty peashooter. After all, this is much less devastating than buffing damage.
  24. My motive is simple: Make Sec more Sci-Fi While the .45 rubbers have been around for a while, I want Sec to be more futuristic. and give them a lowkey buff So replace the .45 with the e-pistol. It'd allow them to take out carp without having to get the carbines and be less lethal than the .45 in takedowns, as well as have the capacity for lethal fire if an antag is KoS. We can keep .45s in the armory if Sec wants them back, or maybe even have it so you can choose which you want through the Warden, and have both in the Armory.
