Bay already has railings, they'd likely just import those. -
A Map Overhaul of the Security Department
DronzTheWolf replied to BurgerBB's topic in Completed Projects
Having a catwalk the warden can roam around on and look down on prisoners would be fucking sweet. Both of these are great. It makes me think of all the prison movie riots with teargas coming down from the catwalks and upper levels. -
Edited to shorten the ammunition count because of balance concerns. Better to stay on the safe side.

As a note, the 7.62 damage model is pretty strong. While its 6 rounds short of the actual antagonist assault rifle, it's definitely not something to gloss over. I originally wanted to make it 5.56 but then I realized it's even stronger than 7.62 for some odd reason. Rifle caliber rounds are extremely powerful, and I am willing to shorten the magazine to 16 or 14 if this is a large issue.

I don't want to get rid of all laser rifles, simply to replace one with this. So the re-named laser rifle cabinet will be "assorted rifles" and contain: One(1) Laser Rifle and One(1) Semi-Automatic Rifle In my eyes, it is equally a buff and debuff, because while you are getting a new rifle that can do more against heavily armored foes, which is important in the wake of the Lii'dra attacks ICly, as they had warforms and hardsuited infantry, you're not robbed of laser rifles for all of the extremely useful situations they can be used.

IRL, many police forces are switching from shotguns to rifles to keep in their patrol cars. Most of them are semi-automatic AR-pattern rifles. More often than not AR-15 or non-civilian M4 from surplus donations. However, NanoTrasen security aren't military, so I'm restricting them to a civilian model on this. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The NanoTrasen Mark 43 rifle. Or the NTM43. A semi-automatic rifle chambered in 7.62, it holds 12 rounds per magazine and will be stocked in the Cargo department delivery system, and some select armories. Perfect for taking on a threat at intermediate range. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Preferably it'll be stocked in the armory, in place of an energy rifle. The energy rifle cabinet could be re-named "assorted rifles" to accommodate this. I have all of the necessary sprites for the weapon, and the concept itself isn't so far fetched. I based it visually on the FN FAL models, however there are some differences to make it more modern looking as well. I will provide one of the sprites just as a proof of concept, but I can provide all of them to anyone who requests them on Discord.

Alright, so I realize we have no way to make any pasta but spaghetti. How about we change that? I propose this: We make it so pasta can go even further. You can cut spaghetti with a knife to make macaroni You can flatten it with a roller to make lasagna Cut lasagna to make pockets for ravioli And if you have more ideas for pasta, go ahead and suggest them below while you're reading the suggestions. The pastabilities are infinite.

[Accepted] DeadLantern's Skrell Application
DronzTheWolf replied to DeadLantern's topic in Whitelist Applications Archives
I honestly don't know too much about Skrell myself. But the story has me really interested. I like the Skrell, even if I don't look much into it. So, honestly, +1 we need more squishy warblers. -

The Vault is a meme and has to be improved.
DronzTheWolf replied to KingOfThePing's topic in Archive
Three original breachers is way to much. Legitimate breachers are main battle tanks for the Unathi, and you've got to remember that Security has access to the vault at the Captain's permission. What if there are three Unathi security members who all get Breacher'd up and go for your Mercs/Raiders/Traitors? And considering Breachers have 90 defense to everything except radiation, where it has 100, that's complete chaos. -
That I can do, I'll send them soon.

Except they're physically unable to talk because Drones automatically can only use Drone Talk and Drone Binary.

I have seen it, time and time again, the Merchant plays antag and does nothing but do all the antagerry at their base where they're untouchable. Hide corpses at the base, and do everything they can to avoid generating RP by just taking their crime back to base where nobody can touch them. Remember merchant cults? I do. I want to disable merchant antagerry because it's the easiest solution to "What do you do with a solo antag that can teleport back to base at literally any time to gank and/or recover from pain/injury, and can return to base without a round-end vote, and can get literally everything from Breacher suits to fucking PHASON mechs if they want." The issue with merchant antag is that Merchant isn't balanced for the possibility of a merchant antag. You can only buy opeations funding, and use that to get a Breacher, an autoshotgun, and enough slugs to last you until the end of days.

[Accepted] Dronz's Unathi App
DronzTheWolf replied to DronzTheWolf's topic in Whitelist Applications Archives
Alright, time to address questions: 1. I plan on having him he 22 years of age, and a third son of four brothers, with two older sisters as well. He was born on Ouerea and has little knowledge on the true state of Moghes, aside from what his family and others from the planet have told him, and then the recent influx of refugees. 2: The character, and why I like him: He is going to be extremely surprised to find more Unathi than one would expect on the station, doubly so at the amount of Unathi from Ouerea. I can relate to being nearly the middle child, and how he has struggled with the challenge of doing so. Not old enough to be responsible as the elder, but too young to be immature and careless like the younger. 3. Hegemony Fights: Alkass is loyal to the Hegemony, and he while he would hesitate less to fight Unathi from Moghes, he would still prefer to avoid a fight all-together. The greatest victories are made not on the battlefield, but by preventing bloodshed. -
[Accepted] Clarify Slandering a Head of Staff.
DronzTheWolf replied to DronzTheWolf's topic in Accepted/Implemented Policy
However, that hasn't stopped them from doing it. The reason I made this suggestion is because I saw that very thing happening, and the extended regulation thing isn't in the in-game book iirc. -
As of right now, Slandering a Head of Staff is a bit inaccurate. As it covers insults, not slander, as the name implies. The definition of Slander is: The action or crime of making a false spoken statement damaging to a person's reputation. This is the case for normal slander, However for Slander of a Head of Staff it is: To directly insult a Head of Staff with no valid complaints. I propose we change it to "Insulting a Head of Staff" or alternatively change the crime itself to: "The action of making a false statement damaging to a Head of Staff's reputation."

BYOND Key: DronzTheWolf Character Names: Michael Lee, Talon Hatfield, Arenu Mala'Karan, Bakhteiarova Hanar, and many more that I've retired until further notice. Species you are applying to play: Unathi What color do you plan on making your first alien character (Dionaea & IPCs exempt): Deep Red Have you read our lore section's page on this species?: Yes Please provide well articulated answers to the following questions in a paragraph format. One paragraph minimum per question Why do you wish to play this specific race: Unathi have this really intriguing honorbound society, and it makes me want to immerse myself in it. The differences between Moghean and Ourean society are also extremely interesting, and would be fun to play out. I hope to stress the tensions between the two planets more in some of my characters if the whitelist passes. They're one of the more fleshed out species we have, and mechanically they're pretty interesting too. Identify what makes role-playing this species different than role-playing a Human: Unathi are a testament to controlled chaos, they're fiery and quick to act, but at the same time have an example of the stoic shaman or the noble warrior to look to and try to emulate. Many failing to do so and falling somewhere between the cruel barbarian and the noble warrior. Then there's the aspect of women, who are seen as little more than property and mothers. They look down on other species for being weaker, though some applaud the intelligence and other virtues of them. Character Name: Skaav Alkass Please provide a short backstory for this character, approximately 2 paragraphs Born on Ouere, Skaav lived among his clan in New Skalamar. He once considered leaving, but chose not to. However, after the recent rebellion that left New Skalamar as the only Izweski-controlled keep on Ouerea, he has considered leaving his home. "I was happy to fight, at first, but in the light of recent events and through experiencing the masterful parlay of the Izweski Nation with this rebellion, it makes me double think. Words that would send my blood boiling now chills it to the bone, the thought of killing my own people, on my own planet makes me shudder." He wrote in a personal memoir, before ultimately deciding to leave. He spoke to a Th'akh shaman before leaving, to get a blessing to keep him safe, and they were hesitant to do so but ultimately did. He would seek experience in another place, at first wanting to work with a Skrellian company, before they turned him down, and he appealed to NanoTrasen instead. After some negotiation, he agreed to leave his home in New Skalamar to live and work in Tau Ceti, and after the immigration process, he went to an academy to train and become a Security officer in the service of NT. It is unlikely he will be policing other Oureans, after all. He was assigned to their station, the NSS Aurora II, as a Cadet to prove himself. Though leaving his home in such turbulent times left a distaste in his mouth, especially once he arrived to Tau Ceti to find out that an attempt on the Hegemon's life was made. What do you like about this character? He is going to be unsure about the himself, being out of his element, and question many odd quirks of the other species. How would you rate your role-playing ability? 6/10 Notes:

If you're wearing your basic uniform while doing traitor stuff you're doing it wrong already. An easy counter to forensics is to just swipe something from the upstairs locker room. They're looking for an assistant in a grey uniform with budget insulateds an a top hat while you're wearing a doctor's uniform with a cloak.

Orion Trail is notoriously difficult, so let's add something to scale up to it, and rid the chaff from the wheat. Those who complete this arduous journey deserve naught but the best, and we should give it to them! So in order to do that, the GetMore Entertainment Division has decided to remove the cheaper toys and add new, prototype toys to the machine. Keep giving us your money appreciation!
