  1. For shame, it exists but it is not a recipe. Alas, I've finally cracked and said it, it needst be craftable. And I have an idea of how. Carve the stock to a pistol grip, add the curved pipe/receiver, screwdriver to modify the receiver to be fully automatic, then add a rod for the bolt, then you add a pipe, add another rod for the grip, weld it, then it's done.
  2. Looking through this, it's certainly interesting. I like the ideas of it, but it seems as though there's some things that could use a bit of refinement. Introducing government influence onto the station adds a new layer of complexity, and has the chance to be extremely detrimental. That being said, I feel like we can handle it with nuance, like we do the Consular position.
  3. I agree that you should be able to red text a gun to someone's head to stop an unga rush.
  4. A lot of the good things are missing from it, like the improvised guns, but I can tell you a cheap and easy welder bombing style. Take an empty bottle, fill it with welder fuel, throw it on harm intent and toss a cigarette/lighter there. You can make a Molotov Cocktail my soaking a rag in welder fuel so you don't have to toss a cigarette/lighter to burn, just light it and toss.
  5. 30 damage iirc, I can't remember off the top of my head.
  6. As the title says. The thumper shoots solid tungsten slugs, and tungsten is used in armor penetrating round because of it's extreme hardness and mass, making it a very powerful penetrator. I agree that having it not leave shrapnel is a good thing, as the bullet would probably pass clean through or remain whole and not shard into sharp bits, but giving it penetration wouldn't make it too OP.
  7. Given we have flag gun toys in the code, I think we should add them to Orion Trail. Winning that machine, you deserve a good prank gun. However, if it's not possible to make it so that one arcade machine gets a toy pool separate from the other, I suppose adding it to both of them works as well.
  8. I can get behind this just to get rid of the droll repetition of constant deconstruction.
  9. It isn't meant to be a very deadly weapon, dealing damage and hallos equal to a harmbaton, but I hear your complaints. I'll see how it looks with a steel blade, but it'd have to be deadlier. Doing less hallos damage and more physical/sharp damage on par to the other swords in-code.
  10. The energy glaives produced by Science are already seen as far less illegal than smuggled-in traitor swords. Energy swords/glaives/shields, etc..
  11. The Unathi consular of the Izweski Hegemony spawns with a sword. A Chinese Dao, to be specific. I'd like to change this and, instead, give them an Unathi-made energy saber. I call it the Noble Saber, and it's description would read something along the lines of 'An Unathi-made energy weapon favored by noblemen and influential individuals for it's more painful, though less lethal attacks.' It would, preferably, do more hallos than damage so it'd be better for subduing rather than killing. I feel as though the weapon would suit them better than a human sword, however it's rather large handle would mean it'd be stored on the belt slot as opposed to in pockets. Mostly for balance purposes. I've attached a .dmi of the weapon below. Consular Sword Icon.dmi Consular Sword.dmi
  12. With spaceacilin being removed, and no antibiotics in the medical vendors, you're left to suffer a 100% deadly infection if there's no chemist and you were unfortunate enough to burn yourself on a cheap lighter. However, this can change. Honey has some antibiotic properties, and we can probably make those be a bit exaggerated in-game by way of saying the bees are genetically modified to produce more antibiotic honey, though it's nowhere near as strong as commercial antibiotics. "In the laboratory, honey has been shown to hamper the growth of food-borne pathogens such as E. coli and salmonella, and to fight certain bacteria, including Staphylococcus aureus and Pseudomonas aeruginosa, both of which are common in hospitals and doctors' offices." I know it's a bit out there, but it'd make those who go out of their way to keep bees a little more useful, and help fill a hole in our current system.
  13. I had an idea to add folding chairs to the station to kinda add a bit of flavor to it and maybe replace some of the rigid steel chairs around. Essentially, the folding chairs will be similar to the roller beds in that you can't fit them in bags and they're a hassle to move in bulk, however they'll fold through an object/right click command as opposed to dragging it to your sprite, since that's how you buckle into a chair. I can also see maybe making it so they can be crafted from materials, so you can have folding chairs of different materials for people to make and abuse because a coder or contributor might make them do a decent amount of damage because WWE uses them. Though I personally don't think they should be weapons. All in all, this is a bit of flavor that can add to the station, as the rigid steel chairs never made sense to me. I've never seen all-metal furniture that isn't patio furniture.
  14. I mean, a little bit of an improvement is using alt-click to open the tile menu, which displays all the items on that tile.
  15. More simple mob roles. Maybe player-controlled diyaabs or spiders. Scratch that, player spiders would be terrible. Absolutely terrible. Maybe a ghost role for the Solarian miner bots that sometimes spawn in the abandoned mine site?
  16. I can't believe I'm agreeing with Kaed, but these are confusing times. Kaed is right that the black uniform is good. The Security team is mostly going to be dealing with petty bullshit from NT employees, but they're also here to stop pirates and other outside threats. They usually do so efficiently, too. (Like the time they almost did during the TCFL introduction event, they had to be told to take it easy so we can justify coming)
  17. Inspired by this, I created some Space Knight armor based on my old Unathi armor. Unathi Armor Icon.dmi Unathi Armor.dmi Unathi Helm Icon.dmi Unathi Helm.dmi
  18. Hair pins can be worn on the ear, to contribute, so you can wear helmets with them.
  19. Hell, just switching it over to a mech-mounted plasma cutter would make it a lot better. From a military perspective, it's a tool that doubles as a weapon like a trench shovel.
  20. Performing necromancy.
  21. I will give this my approval in one condition. Being melee-based and very honorable to their ideals, the only real solution is to make them antags like the proper ERT is so they can't be converted by cult or influenced by anything but a max level vampire. Only then will you get my full approval. +1 anyway because Saa Lii'ssard
  22. I come to you with an update. The rifle has had some shading changes and been moved to .dmi thanks to the help of @AmoryBlaine mk43.dmi
  23. You need to remove the RIG to take the battery out.
  24. Nothing, for your average joe or a disgruntled miner. However the TCFL mech is a combat mech and has combat mech targeting boards and weapon capability, as well as belonging to an actual military entity. It should at least have something that doubles as a tool and weapon, as opposed to something jury rigged together.
  25. As of right now, the TCFL combat ripley only has drills and a jury-rigged welder laser for weaponry. I suggest we do away with the jury-rigged not gun and give them an actual mech-mounted laser carbine, or a plasma cutter if you want them to still not have a proper effective weapon. Anything but a jury-rigged laser.
