1. BYOND Key: AmoryBlaine Game ID: bVE-agaz] Player Byond Key: Kyres1, FreshRefreshments, DickFreedomJohnson, Doxxmedearly. Staff involved: N/A Reason for complaint: Rule infractions concerning: -Only resort to killing if it makes sense or drives a story. -No ganking. -Don't be a dick. -The primary goal of antangonists is to DRIVE A STORY AND TO GENERATE INTERACTION. Kyres1, FreshRefreshments, DickFreedomJohnson, Doxxmedearly. These four board the station, they do not state their intent, we do not engage them, with our only knowledge being they are heavily armed and we are without Command staff, an AI, or a Warden. After I ask why they're here, they state it is to steal things. We do not get in their way. We plan, in the event that they engage us, to fight back so we hand out what weapons we have after the Warden arrives. After taking the Captain's spare, and after taking the Vault hardsuits, they come to Security. They kill one officer for no reason, and begin to slaughter the rest, who retreat. The rest of the round is Security being shot at and killed by a much more heavily equipped team, who are stealing things, and not interacting with anyone at all, unless it is to tell them to get out of their way, or to kill them. They at no point try to rectify the original unjust and unquestionably rule-breaking murder, but instead continue to assault Security. They did not roleplay with the station, they were in the round solely to steal items, rack up kills and leave the station. I cannot stress to you how much we complied, outwardly and to their knowledge, with staying out of their way, just to be blasted for no good reason at all. I do find the most responsible parties to be; -FreshRefreshments who killed a down and dying Detective Fabe Dante by decapitation, and then an Engineer in the same fashion. They state they killed Fabe for being "annoying" as he shot at them while they attacked Security, and the Engineer for charging them- they stated that the Engineer's decapitation was not intended. Mind you FreshRefreshments was in an authentic Breacher suit, with an energy glaive. Why they would feel threatened by an Engineer, enough so to inflict serious damage to them, decaptiation or not, confuses me. - DickFreedomJohnson who instigated hostilities by shooting an Officer for no reason, LOOCing, "Welcome to KoS" as he engaged an Officer who questioned the murder, and screamed in OOC, "TWICE I HAVE WON MERC IN A ROW" after the round. By accounts of both sides- and himself- he was playing to win. You'll be able to see more of his actions in the logs, and AOOC. -Kyres1 who was the one who came up with the plan and was leading the mercs. Zero attempts were made to defuse hostilities, that his team created, and rather they doubled down on the actions taken, by assaulting Security twice more. At almost every turn, Security was on barely able to even stay on the defense, and outside of Willow Harper, who was kidnapped, and the department staff who were told to stay out of the way, the Mercs made no attempts to incorporate them into the round's events. Here's the names of the IC characters they all played; Did you attempt to adminhelp the issue at the time? If so, what was the known action taken by administration/moderation? Yes, for forty minutes. And no actions at all. Other than being directed to make thing complaint. Approximate Date/Time: I'm sure it can be figured out.
2. Cool idea, makes sense. Please add, thanks.
3. Characters are good, would be willing to see them atleast go through a Command trial. +1
4. I feel as though the IR was weaponized by Jackboot as no OOC outcome could be brought against Campin for his actions. That's what it seems like to me, given his OOC investment in the whole situation. edit: On this, he had ahelp'd the original arrest and seizure of his property, forcing me to deal with a very extensive interrorgation, which took up time away from processing him, which was further hampered by power outages. Rather than taking into consideration his own ahelp's affect on my timing performance, he got more exasperated by it, and made a point of it being 20 minutes in his IR. I recieved no known OOC penalties for what I had done, to my knowledge.
5. I think for Merc and Raider rounds- especially Crossfire- it should check for Security players, or something. Like see who is set to Security as [High]. Nothing is worse than Crossfire with no Security.
6. Bump.
7. Sounds fun, I can get behind it.
8. I don't really want to go into an in-depth argument about this, as it'd be a bit thread-hijacky. As such, I'll just note that I play more shifts where the kitchen isn't productive than shifts where it is (My common playtime being 8 PM - 4 AM (CDT)) and point out that that was only one - and I'd even go as far as to say the smallest - of several points leveled against this being a mechanic. How would you feel about persistent flavor messages about how uncomfortable you are, if no mechanical punishment? Have it work similar to bomb suits then? Could just re-use that.
9. It's always a good idea to say you have more than one hostage. Especially if you only have one. Once you lose that first hostage, if they know that's all you had, they will fuck you up. EDIT: And don't threaten to hurt your hostages unless you actually plan on doing it. Weakness will lead to Security acting a lot faster. Just like killing your hostages. Keep them in a limbo.
10. I think Mercs should be equal to Security. Nothing worse than Mercs who like to stay outside or in vented areas. It limits the types of characters that can interact with them.
11. +1 Ray Ray is stellar. Give this to them. I demand it.
12. CoalfEve Maybe just have a 15+ TC 'Nanobot reconstruction' kit, that lets your change your appearance. Try and be a massshooter no-name when you're down to less than half your TC. Forces you to be more stealth oriented and shit.
13. Pretty sure neither have had much of an in-round impact. No one cares about what some guy who yells over comms to read his articles says because it's just junk, usually, anyways. It's like most service jobs, they're just there. I think the only way for journalist characters to actually have impact is to do canon stuff, rather than focus on antag stuff. Like Xander's thing.
14. Not a fan of this. The way things are is fine, Cargo does fine. There should not be a reliance on the department, and a sense of disorder everywhere else in order to force people to use Cargo.
15. I change my mind. Deny this, I'll just not play the rounds where it is present to a degree it causes issues for me.
16. So, you spawn as Mercenary. You choose your sex, your hair, your skin tone- why not languages as well? I think it'd be a neat idea to allow coordinated efforts of what your antag characters speak, or are from. So, there could be an all-Sol speaking pirate crew who need a translator, ect, ect.
17. Coalf , how's this sound? Traitors now spawn at the Odin, in the washroom, they have a chance to see each other as they leave. You can either stick with your normal name, and appearance, or swap it up like Merc/Raider set up.
18. I ahelped it and pretty much what they said was, 'sucks to suck. Sorry, but we can't make anyone stop doing that.' and suggested I make a suggestion.
19. Yes please, this is something that is good.
20. Recently there's been a lot more tile colour 'shitposting', and it gives me vision issues while playing rounds where it is present. This can range from depth issues, being able to make out sprites, and all the way to migraines and nausea, with at least one time bringing up. It's similar to the wearing of the psychedelic jumpsuit, which was removed from maintenance in a suggestion. So, in the same spirit, I think it'd make sense to limit cosmetic changes to something more acceptable for a Corporate research facility ICly, as well as cut down on vision issues OOCly. I don't know if I'm the only one but I certainly hope I am, as I feel like shit when subject to these designs. As is, the directive reads, "Regarding Remodeling and Cosmetic Alterations - Station Directive 6: To clarify when, who, and how non-structural, non-atmospheric, non-electrical modifications to an area of the station may be performed. Cosmetic remodeling of a department may be performed by any staff with written and signed consent of the department in question. Cosmetic alteration to general areas, such as hallways, arrivals, and departures, require consent from the Chief Engineer, The Captain, or (in the absence of both) Command as a whole. " I'm sure a better wordsmith can alter this to limit the length of what is considered cosmetic, or something. I just cannot, as is, stomach the amount and depth of tile art. I think it's ugly as fuck, but at the same time, it's a health concern for me and actively impedes on me, playing the game, let alone enjoying it. I don't know, I consider it a big enough issue to write this suggestion.
21. When was this? It sounds like a meme, and I can't recall it at all. Although, it is very much so in him to try and do that if enough pressure is placed where it counts- which is not normal. Either a sadistic as fuck Merc, or Vampire memery-- or he was an antag or something.
22. Sure, they're 10/10 at roleplay. Great Taj player. +1
23. Kryostro EDIT: His post was deleted, but it was not nice. Harper and Carmichael were both 'vigilante's' with Harper basing her kills off the exploitable info, and Carmichael off whatever minor infractions were being commited. Your character is a massive prick, screams constantly, and always toes the line of misuse of communications and hooliganism. Daniel took the fact you sexually harassed the Technician as reason enough to lure you into Maintenance where he could kill you. It worked and you went to LOOC almost immediately. Your body was left in maintenance and was found not long after as I didn't bother to turn off the tape recorder you always carry and have on, and turned your sensors up to max. And he took me into a private location and started killing me, and I noticed it started getting.. really edgy so I asked him to tone it down because it was making me uncomfortable, and he proceeded to be toxic, I can't remember the conversation, but I explained how the shift frustrated me, but he found my argument stupid, and more shit went on until I realized I should just let it happen after I did some Buddha Monk techniques, and beat the shit out of my keyboard But sometimes I delve into discord and watch him like a stalker, waiting for my moment to strike. You have such a poor recollection of the events, that I request someone log dive for this to even be given any credibility. You claim it was toxic and edgy but at the same time cannot recollect any of it, all the while also making yourself out to be in the right. What happened was you were being killed, went to LOOC, I told you to RP, you didn't particularly want to, then I killed you as you acted LRPly. As I said before, I gave you the benefit of the doubt and did not turn off or take your tape recorder, and I turned on your foolishly off sensors so you wouldn't remain there for the rest of the round, and so I would be caught, pushing more events in the round. Your language, and general behavior OOCly in this post alone is almost mirrored with that of your 'experiment' character Shane Castralo. I suggest you take a look at your own character, and self as well as how you carry yourself from a gameplay perspective; ie: having a recorder on you at all times making most any interaction with you by an antag that is audible- that is to say RP'd- incrimination.
