  1. So then what's going to be done about the distaste towards Ling? You bump up the gene points and that just makes killing more easy, locking the horror form behind kills will further push the now buffed ling into killing even more people.
  2. Protip: The best option is to cryo or ahelp and swap out of your shard. In my opinion, Cult is similar to LRP-Rev which relies on flash converts or "Are you revolutionary?" prompting to join the other team. Just because you make it more elaborate doesn't mean it's any less of a clear and cut prompt to join or die- then join anyways.
  3. I like atmosphere in my Spess, and having the option to shut off lights in every room in the Brig would be nice, Construction deck included. I have no idea how this shit works, but I'd love it personally. Right now the un-darkable rooms I can recall are the Lockerroom, the Processing area, the Warden's Office, and the Training section.
  4. Got my support. Anything for one the best Chief Medical Officer character. Great RP, great character, surely a part of the character and believable for the setting.
  5. Good design, but people will ignorantly walk into the brig portion. Perhaps that section of the Departures dock should be made Security only. There is also a lacking windoor seperating inmates from Officers.
  6. A lot could have been done here but instead what we got was name generator White Security Contractors who would be ahelped and respawn as name generated brown-ish Security Contractors. I was also informed that staff were given no guidelines for these characters to follow, and that it was entirely up to the handling staff to tell them about what was and wasn't acceptable. No control, no purpose. Why even have this last a week? What was the purpose of this event if not to showcase Eridani. I didn't see Eridani, I saw poor planning and poor execution. I hold both staff and the appropriate loreDevs accountable as neither seemed to concern themselves with what was going on. Perhaps this is all incorrect, but what I saw is what I saw, and it is almost insulting that so little care seemed to be put into a week-long event.
  7. Usually I hate characters that have pink hair and are traps and look like snowflakes. But you're quite good, +1 from me.
  8. I like this. Make it so.
  9. Spanish Civil war.
  10. Cute world building item. +1 I really like this character.
  11. I don't understand how a small patch barely visible at the back of the head is worse than being able to see the coloured hair through the helmet. One is barely noticeable and can be chalked up to hair being in a bun.
  12. They still look clearly bald with the patch of skin below the helmet. And having the entire hair sprite visible through the helmet is better?
  13. Have it affect Species. Long-haired humans can be assumed to have ICly put their hair in a bun.
  14. It sucks enough. You already have to do the whole cloning process with the brain damage and the cryo, and the shrink. Or you can wait 20 minutes to respawn as a new character.
  15. Is that seriously an issue? The sprite is 64x64 nominally. I can get behind the bright flash stuff but really? The entire point of that suit is to be flashy and rainbow-y. Not trying to be condescending here, and maybe I am misinformed on the severity of the issue, but I'm failing to fathom how something so relatively small could cause epilepsy unless you have a really severe case. At which point, I do not believe you should be playing SS13. It is bothering to my eyes, although I am not epileptic. Can't concentrate on the screen, and become a bit nauseous. If we could, it would be nice to have it removed, the few times it gets used are uncomfortable for me at least.
  16. You need to make a new appeal. Your original was closed because you didn't respond. This isn't exactly worth a complaint.
  17. For me, I think it's just nice to have the phrase exist. It's not enforced, but it's there for if you wanna use it- like the out-dated SOP.
  18. Eve's good for it. Good RP, good player. +1
  19. Yeah, why not. They play good characters. +1
  20. It makes sense. It is a formality, it should be a given, and not required for citing by ISD every time but it totally should exist so liars can be caught up under it.
  21. And that is also being supplied by the company. Is it covered by the company or are we paying off-screen for it?
  22. That's gotta be a lie. You don't play Chemist at all, according to the WI. What is a cook, but a chemist of food?
  23. This doesn't seem like a complete or satisfactory answer to me. Can you expand on this? What does 'control' mean to you? Do Heads have any OOC responsibility outside of knowing what a department is capable of? In the context of the question, you are being asked what your responsibilities are to other players. What would those people playing characters look to you for? Control to me is keeping the people below you in line and striving towards the same objective. Overall, the objective is a HRP environment, and for Security specifically it's being able to handle the antagonists in a reasonable manner. Making sure the Officers aren't trying to decap the Wizard who just arrived and wishes to speak to the Captain. Making sure they aren't arguing to the point of there being no teamwork and acting in a self-destructive manner. Very much so do Heads have an OOC responsibility to enforce a standard on those below them, otherwise everything would have to be handed off to the Mods. Minor things, like drinking on the job, getting into a minor RP spurred fight- these are IC, which Heads handle, drinking to kill one's character or getting in completely unjustified fights in order to kill others is OOC. My responsibility to other players is to keep everyone in a straight line, but still allow there to be fun stuff going on. Heads are there to direct those below them. This can be done from afar or from the front. Either or, as long as they are directing them. At least, that's what I think.
  24. We have optic nerve HUDs for dead eyes. I'm sure we could add a thing that makes you hear. There's one already, but it's a box or something. So put a similar thing into an earpiece, and done.
  25. There's this device RnD can make, which allows the deaf to hear. I thought it'd be neat to add that to the loadout selection. Maybe have it function like an earpiece and be affected by EMPs and stuff. I dunno. Just spit-balling here.
