The entirety of it seems to be OOC and though yes ahelping it is effective. It is also good to bring the issue out in the open and to tell the community that is a problem and that is it to stop. I feel only by making this issue apparent and that it is a concern to even a hand full of people will put it on the staff's radar. That's one of the reasons why I felt it necessary to give my stance on it.

It's not my personal experience either, I'm currently speaking on behalf of other people who've told me that it's causing them to actually avoid the server for the most part. This I don't agree with, I don't think we should have people avoiding the server because a couple of us can't keep our teeth shut and get on with their own shit. And it will change, I'm merely highlighting the issue but that's only to state I'm aiming to stomp out this issue. There's joking around and banter, then there is being outright toxic for the sake of sating your own ego.

Alright, I know I'm just a forum mod and I try to be objective these days for the sake of observation and keeping some sort of order? But I want to bring up a topic that needs to be dealt with, and I feel like reaching my hand out for the individuals responsible to be reasonable, you know, just maybe? The topic is the general harassment and negativity towards players who have characters that show the slightest homosexual inclination (mainly female characters, because gay females are worse than gay males apparently.) You might, in your little mind, find it to be lighthearted humor or dank jokes bro but I personally believe shitting on another player or their character because of a creative choice you dislike is completely unacceptable. Why should a player immediately experience heckling as soon as they choose a character who is perhaps homosexual or of a certain social class? Why should one character suddenly become suicidal because they're a fucking lesbian? It's somewhat off putting for a handful of players, some which hardly play on this server anymore because they have to deal with nonconstructive comments that leave little for credibility or basic decency. If you don't like a character, get over it, because it isn't your's and refrain from making comments like a petty child. I have the idealistic idea that we shouldn't disregard a characters credibility because of their sexuality? I mean, I can't believe I'm having to defend the sexuality of pretend characters because people think they're fucking hilarious. TL;DR Stop making remarks in OOC and deadchat about someone's character.

I believe the apparent issue wasn't ahelped until the very last minute and that the individuals in question were spoken to. Apart from that, I personally don't see why the issue should be pressed further. Just my humble opinion.

Looks pretty neat, definitely useful for characters that have families.

But how do this benefit other peoples roleplay? It seems interesting enough, would they really wear it instead of protective armor though? Or is just something to look good in while off duty?

I feel the issue mainly revolves around certain players who play rounds with extreme meta-paranoia, that end up ganking the AI upload. And if I'm not mistaken, one of the guys who's infamous for that isn't around anymore. So in theory, this shouldn't be such a prevalent issue anymore.. we'll see I guess?

What's the point in creating a new feedback thread when we already one? Because I wanted to make a new one that didn't hold back any punches, but at the same time I didn't want any discussions on said thread. It wanted it to be blunt and to the point, in regards to what the topic was for and that was giving critique on someone's characters. People either request or give feedback, then leave it at that and see what feedback they get for their characters. If they have issues about the thread, then they can simply message me and I'll act accordingly. The current issue, which 1138 pointed out, is the back log of people requesting feedback and not enough people giving it. That's an issue I've accepted and am currently trying figure out a way to solve that, if there is a solution. Perhaps, making a new thread is unnecessary but I rather keep the 'Character Feedback Thread' about 'Character Feedback' and maybe that's unreasonable but it's worked so far. And repeat myself, people who feel the thread could be better or has some issues, may PM me and then I can discuss with them directly, to get a better understanding. But that's all I'm saying on that matter, I gave my side of why the posts were deleted and there's little reason to continue it on this thread for argument's sake. If 1138 or Tytos have any issues with the deletion, seeing as they were the parties involved, they can feel free to speak to me.

They may criticize the thread, but with a new thread. That might sound convoluted but I rather keep the critique of characters and the critique of thread. If anything 1138's issues have been heard by me, just trying to think of a way to solve them.

I'll eventually put all the feedback onto the OP, I swear! Houssam Jawdat He's the guy that has a tackier version of Messa's Bounty. Winters Booby or something cheap. I like to think of him as a potential rival for Miko with short term alliances, seeing as they're both scheming little scumbags. But aside from that, I want to see some more layers to Houssam as all I really see is him skulking in the shadows or suddenly becoming president of the station. Perhaps it's more of a case of me needing to converse with the character more, but I barely understand his motivations at times and it would be interesting to see more facets to his personality.

Recall on one server, we had an assistant who stole a load of stuff from Engineering and Security were too busy chasing a clown. So we hunted the assistant down and dragged him into the nearest tunnel, we then proceeded to hammer down him with crowbars before stripping him naked and stealing all of his shit. Food for thought.

The backlog has been cleared and with the new bout of forum moderators, there shouldn't be anymore backlog. With this, you can expect warnings to be punctual from now on. They're criticism/discussion pertaining to the thread itself, and are formulated decently enough to be pertinent. The particular thread in question was made strictly for requesting and offering critique for certain characters, in my mind, commenting about the posting within the thread isn't what the thread is for and therefor off topic. I'm the OP of the particular thread and I was very adamant about it, it's mainly to keep everything more or less relevant and to keep things more or less, peaceful. Perhaps that makes me seem... anal? But I'd rather people PM me directly if they found issues with my thread rather than posting something other than feedback or a request. Hopefully that clears up stuff for you, if not feel free to PM me if you've any issues.

I wouldn't say Jane was Shitcurity, more a stickler to the rules and clings onto them without much flexibility. But at the same time, while other Officers sometimes can't be really fucked to do anything (there's a hand full of them) Jane's usually getting stuck in with it. My only advice, being a HoS (that people may or may not like) is to wind down a bit, not be so abrasive and learn to be a little flexible but with a stern resolve.
