More the fact that, people consider Delta to be an awful head or that their etiquette is generally bad. If we're going with that, then there's a good amount of us heads that probably shouldn't have the whitelist? It will be a fair critique mind you, I'll avoid terms like edgy or snowflake because those lack substance. I endorse his application. We have shittier heads lurking about, probably not as violent but they definitely don't full fill their rolls at all. I know his violent efficiency as an antag and Security is taboo because both parties should die for the sake of everyone else's dank rp but I've yet to actually feel the chaffed ass from what he's done. Infact, I kind of enjoyed the chaos. But moving on from that, he appears to be building a Research Director. Y'know, the least bitchy and most passive heads I've seen? I fell if he keeps to Talia as his head character, it would be a fine enough compromise to allow people not be outraged, unless compromising is also an outrageous topic.

How long do you think people should have to play before being able to apply? Long enough to have people vouch for them. It's a good system seeing as applications aren't everyone's strong points.

That is pretty much the whole point of the whitelist system. People vouch for players they've actually played with and such, but I feel with the no whitelist movement people who've played a day are given whitelists with the snap of their fingers.

Internal Affairs are there for wrongful brigging, if an IA refuses to help you then that is because that particular IA is a shit and doesn't cover all of his job requirements. If you get a good IA, which is somewhat rare, then you basically have a lawyer for Internal Affairs, it goes with the name. Having an actual lawyer would be redundant, there is currently no court process and to organize one would be long winded. I would go into detail why having a lawyer title would be bad, but I don't want to go off topic with all the pruning that's going on.

Basically a thread explaining your thought process, concepts and inspirations that resulted in one of you characters existing aboard the Aurora. I'll start with the hopes that it'll give you an idea of what I mean. Revvy Black Revvy was initially my exploration into roleplaying a female character while waiting for a couple of whitelists. When I first started creating the character, I decided to use Revy from Black Lagoon as a base for how she would look and act. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VMXSEClmZfc Obviously her personality changed extremely from the base concept and the character she was based on. There are some minor similarities but the edge was removed and replaced with a more care free and naive attitude by taking inspirations from characters such as Monkey D. Luffy from One Piece, Michelangelo from TMNT and Sasha from Attack on Titan. From there, I decided that she would have no qualifications what so ever but that she would also (being so'riginal) have a somewhat sad past due to making bad life decisions thanks to a rebellious attitude. So I decided to make her a Janitor, with no real goals or aspirations save for getting drunk or high to pass the time. Originally, Revvy was straight, leaning more to the bad boy types who'd hook her up with the good stuff. But this eventually changed, not so much by choice but because of the direction the character was going in. Not wanting to ruin the organic development of the character, I decided to allow her to become a lesbian in a way I thought would be... human. Being approached by a certain Warden who'd become her role model and someone she had stirrings for, she became unsure with what she was feeling and sought advice from those she thought she could trust. The relationship between her and Anna developed so organically to me, that I was quite happy with the outcome, despite the possibility of people dismissing the character's credibility because 'spess lesbeans snoflaks' Also, because of Anna being her role model. Revvy enrolled as a Cadet and I gave her a reasonably lengthy development as a Cadet in the Security force, letting her grow more mature as she experienced the hardships of Security and inmates a like. When she finally became an Officer, I felt she had became significantly more mature compared to when she first stepped foot on the station, though the people who are familiar with the character would say she's still got a long way to go before being super cereals mature. But overall, I'm quite fond of the character and how she developed through interacting with the other characters. I would even say she's the character I'm most proud of. Anyway, that's basically what I meant and excuse the typos. Give me a behind the scenes look into your characters, I would really enjoy seeing the different creative processes and stories that people have to give.

I usually give the 'strongest you have customers' one of the cocktails that knocks them out for a very long time. But removing alcohol could be described as using TNT to kill an ant. You have a minor... somewhat irritable problem that probably gives Surgeons something to do, with a proposal that essentially guts an element to a job. Being a regular bartender, I have had awesome roleplay thanks to the booze. I have many regulars who come to my bar and I know what the usual they have. Leo likes an Old Fashioned, Sammy likes a good Gin mix, Stamos enjoys a Giblet, Hakra likes his Drambuie straight and Essel likes a milkshake. Because of the 'usual' drinks these people have, they have some sort of relationship with my bartender and someone to chat to. Sure you get the usual obtuse individuals who will ask for the strongest stuff, and to reiterate I give them the knock out substances. With the ones who ask me to fill their flask with a particular spirit, I just fill it with lime juice and chuckle away. Best way to deal with those kind of people. I once also hosted a Sbiten challenge, where some of the patrons had to down an incredibly fiery drink and last the longest without having to cool down. I like to think those who were involved enjoyed it to some extent and it allows... people to mingle. To me, it's an IC issue that should be dealt with in an ICly manner that either gets the drunk fired or the bartender for being negligent, there are more beneficial ways about it than an OOC Nuke to remove a feature because the vocal minority have caused you irritation with their shitty livers.
