  1. Alexander Barker is a great character and I love seeing them. Zae always exhibits great RP skill and deserves the whitelist. Even though that means I might see Alex less.
  2. I like the idea, it has potential. Here's how I would implement it to match the mundane-turned-lethal feel in the game. The plant starts out as your average Venus flytrap. It's main, legal purpose is the safe disposal of bees. When fully grown, the flytrap will eat all swarms of bees within a 1 tile radius. Nice, safe, and perfectly legitimate. However, through the use of mutation, the Venus Flytrap can be mutated into the Venusian Killer (name pending). The Venusian Killer not only eats bees within a 1 tile radius, but they damage all non-dionae mobs within range, dealing anywhere between 10 to 50 brute damage a bite (averaging 20-25) dependent on it's botanical 'Potency' mechanic. Any mob killed by it (or any corpses placed within the 1 tile radius) are swallowed by the Venusian similarly to the Unathi/Dionae consume verb. While a mob is being swallowed/digested (timer dependent on mob size) the mouth of the Venusian is busy and will not attack other mobs. Let's just hope a traitor xenobotanist doesn't apply the kudzu spreading effect to a Venusian.
  3. I like this idea. I also like the idea of being able to toggle a specific faction. However, I believe faction 'goals' should be vague/generic ideas instead hardliners objectives. As much as I miss objectives, Aurora as a whole has drifted away from them. The only thing I can see that might be an issue is the randomized appearances and names. On one hand, if they're too random, it's easy to spot a traitor if they have neon purple balding hair, yellow eyes, and dark skin. Too predictable, and people will start subconsciously start to memorize appearances and names of traitors. All in all, a great idea if implemented correctly.
  4. I like the idea of the e-pistol with lockout option. I just feel it needs a few tweaks. I think the warden's office, the HoS' office, and the captain's office should have a lethal lockdown override button corresponding to their IDs. I also feel like a swipe of a command ID at the authentication device should override the lockout for 10 minutes. 2 command ID swipes should unlock it indefinitely until the threat level is lowered, like the cyborg crisis override. This way, both a fully staffed and a skeleton crew have options on ways to respond to lethal situations. (Also, traitor sec emagging their pistol overrides the lockout because duh)
  5. Well, I'm not really sure what was done during the round in question by them. At some point, I think Fascism ahelp'd them about me drawing attention to us being antags? I'm not sure. I got a bwoink from them, and I explained I was trying to draw the AI's attention to the fact it was an antag, and that I thought he didn't realize it. The reply I got wasn't really clarifying. So when the round was ending, I went to the AI core to LOOC Fascism, and toaster was there LOOCing too. Then next round, when I asked if any action was taken, I was ignored (but then again, it was before the round even started, so maybe it just wasn't noticed). When I added a PM to the ticket bringing up the fact Fascism has had a player complaint before about bad antagging while AI, toaster added themselves to the ticket and told me to make another complaint if I felt it necessary. Then they closed the ticket leaving my original question unasked. So I figured I might as well make one to get *some* kind of disciplinary action going.
  6. BYOND Key: Trazz666 Game ID: bVa-ayba Player Byond Key: FASCISMFORTHOSEWHOWANTIT Staff involved: toasterstrudes Reason for complaint: General annoyance, really Did you attempt to adminhelp the issue at the time? If so, what was the known action taken by administration/moderation? Yes, and uncertain. I ask about it during the next round, but I kinda just got a 'make a player complaint about it'. Approximate Date/Time: 7-3-18 about 12 am (CST) This is FASCISMFORTHOSEWHOWANTIT's second complaint about traitor AI'ing. However, instead of just being a poor antag and excluding borg involvement, he just didn't do anything as far as I could tell. Admittingly, I was a borg a little late into the round, so I didn't see things from the borg side for the majority of the time. I was, however, a security officer for most of the round, and there wasn't even a hint of AI antagging (I didn't even know we had an AI). The rules on antagging state that the point of an antag is to drive story and generate interaction, both bolded and underlined. Fascism did neither, no story was generated as nothing was really done, and interaction was minimal since as soon as I told them I couldn't do medical as a borg they locked me down and started complaining to science I was broken in an attempt to remove me. Antagging was so non-existant that round, I was genuinely confused and thought that Fascism didn't even know they had a law 0. I even went straight to their AI core to bring it to their attention, and all I got was a 'How the fuck did you get in here' ICly and 'wow i found the worst borg' OOCly. When finally cornered to acknowledge their status as antag, they refused to answer and started deflecting by saying, and I quote "Did it ever occur to you I might not want the crew to know that?" and "So...why did you tell the whole crew I had one?" Of course, those quotes can be seen as an admission they they knew they were an antag, which begs the question why nothing was done about it. I mean, I've been warned for less as an AI. I'm a little surprised this has been an issue enough to warrant 2 player complaints on the forum.
  7. So, I wasn't there to experience the specific event that birthed this thread. I joined at the tail-end to see all the complaining. However, I'm seeing the main 2 points of the thread being canon, and RP vs action in events. Firstly, canon. I was gonna type out a long, drawn out explanation about people wanting to effect a larger story that doesn't really exist, but that would infringe on some people's personal canons. All I'm gonna say is space station 13 is kinda like the show "Whose line is it anyways" where everything is made up and the canon doesn't matter. As for the action vs RP thing. This is a complex issue. There's been a rising trend recently that RP is good (which nobody is arguing) while combat/action is bad, considered the opposite of RP. This is seen in things such as removal of antag objectives, the changeling nerf, and more recently in the disarming of security. The server as a whole has been shifting towards non-combative play. Which, in a normal round is fine, it's what most of us love about Aurora (if I may be so bold as to assume). However, it does tend to limit the main contributing factor to what makes an event: conflict. A story without conflict is no real story at all. And that's the point of running events, isn't it? Creating a story. "But Trazz," I hear you type "conflict doesn't necessarily mean muderbone!" which is true. However people are still people, unfortunately. As we all know, might makes right. When an objective is important/valuable enough, those with the power will inevitably use it to obtain the objective. The quote "Talk softly and carry a big stick" comes with the prerequisite that if the talking is ignored, you *use* the stick. I feel if you wanted an event with no violent outcome should the conflict objective be denied, it would have to be something of low importance that the parties involved wouldn't be willing to fight for. Like if NanoTrasen tried imposing a mandatory penis inspection day and the crew banded together and sent a petition to reconsider. And even then, with a loyalty implanted HoS and captain, which a security team meant to enforce NT rules...eh. It's iffy. Thanks for coming to my TEDtalk. Tip your waitress.
  8. Capitalist corporations fear 1 thing: having to pay employees when it can be avoided. Lawsuits due to failure to supply proper safety equipment, or workers comp for injuries sustained on the job is what keep capitalists up at night (lol jk, we all know evil sleeps during the day). It would make sense for NT to stock xeno gloves on station. It makes even more sense for xenos to be allowed to bring their own from off-station. Mangled gloves should also cause electric burns. Because duh. They're shredded, why wouldn't they?
  9. Telebaton aside (you guys have been nerfing it for years at this point), I don't think pepperspray needs to be changed. It's hard enough as is to spray someone with it without getting yourself, and giving the pain of 1 electrode makes it kinda useless. Correct me if I'm wrong, I'm (thankfully) not a security main, but if memory serves it takes 5 taser shots to down someone. Meaning your dangerous, stationary criminal would need you to spray their face 5 times to actually incapacitate them. Besides being bwoiked for macing a clearly afk player, I don't think the pepperspray canister holds 5 shots. (Again, my numbers may be wrong.) Now I'm all for nerfing security, don't get me wrong. I remember the days when 1 taser shot would instantly down someone, and I would hate to go back to that. But pepperspray was always the weapon of choice for the sadist. Forcing someone on the ground, gasping and screaming in pain, but leaving them conscious to experience it. It was the reward you got for actually going out of your way to pull out the can, turn off the safety, and manage to hit a target with it's slow moving spray. Giving it the pain of 1 taser shot takes the reward out of using it. Might as well just whip out the taser, you don't have to click off a safety, the electrode is faster and does the same amount of pain, and you have range. If you guys want people to stop using a certain item, give it a warrior's death and just remove it. Don't make it suffer nerfing into obsolescence.
  10. Biologically speaking, humans are unique in our evolution that we developed digits and wrists designed for punching. Honestly, it'd make no real sense to have clawed races be able to punch. If we dispense with the evolutionary aspect and assume clawed races had similarly structured hands...how would they even punch? Make a fist and look at where your nails go. If an unathi were to try to punch, their claws would puncture their palms. Though if you're hitting someone without the intention of doing harm (aka no claws), I'd suggest using the *slap verb
  11. I'll tone down my typical vocal-ness for the sake of being polite. I'm not a fan of the change, ever since it was suggested I've been against it. Flashes essentially have no use now, unless you want to permablind a Vaurca. Sure, it makes people blind for a few seconds but lets be honest, what good does that do? If someone is attacking you, their cursor is already on you and swinging/shooting. If you use it aggressively, your target is mildly inconvenienced, and now probably emboldened to grab an actual weapon knowing your tool of choice is a flash. No longer are sunglasses or unwarranted welding goggles a cause for concern. Now security has to rely on means you can't defend yourself against (and yeah, pepperspray exists, but let's be realistic here). Despite the yellow marker of the flash being tainted by the black ink of realism, never to be used again, this does at least bring up the opportunity to bring some improvements. In exchange for the flash nerf, I feel command flashes should be replaced. Pepperspray at the minimum, .45 pistol with flash rounds if I'm being bold (do flash rounds even work now with the nerf?). In any case, the nerf is annoying, but not at all unexpected of the server. Realistically, I don't expect anything to good from this change, but we'll have to learn to deal with it. I will, however, be selling my soul to the nearest willing eldritch abomination to slightly loosen your shoelaces every day. Not enough to untie them and make you trip, but enough to cause a constant mild annoyance. EDIT: I do have something nice to say, however. I do like the increased likelyhood of break. Honestly, I feel that would be enough of a nerf on it's own, but...ya know.
  12. I like this idea, I just feel there needs to be a sliiiight change in wording. Capitalist corporations being what they are, it seems unlikely they would decide to instate a regulation like this of their own volition. Hell, Nanotrasen would still execute criminals if given the legal chance. Perhaps word it to explain that Tau Ceti law requires freedom of certified press, as long as it presents nothing but empirical facts. This way, journalists have some legal grounding to avoid being censored, and can be used to raise RP tension across the station if the 'security officer beat a crew member to death' story suddenly goes dark for no reason. Though, re-reading the post, it gives off a more 'Command sponsored propaganda newcast' than anything else.
  13. Another basic living thing we take for granted that the merchant station lacks: a garbage disposal. Last time I played merchant, some trash began to accumulate without a place to dispose of it (I ended up stacking it on the table). Easily remedied by a disposal out to space, trash bin, or incinerator.
  14. BYOND key: Trazz666 Character names: Jaylee Zaun, Ob-servo, Krosk Uttaz, Rani Dayal, Brooke Rosensteel How long have you been playing on Aurora?: Since the beginning. The literal beginning of the Aurora server. Why do you wish to be on the whitelist?: I had it before, and I've been around regularly enough I'd like it back. Why did you come to Aurora?: The original Apollo station shut down, and I came along with the rest of the split. Have you read the Aurora wiki on the head roles and qualifications you plan on playing?: Yes. Please provide well articulated answers to the following questions in a paragraph each. Give a definition of what you think roleplay is, and should be about: By definition, roleplaying is assuming a role in a fictional setting and enacting that role. It's about escapism, essentially. Even if you have a decent life, roleplaying allows you the opportunity to be someone who you're not and have more control over your situation, even only for a few minutes. In a less philosophical/tragic sense, it's playing pretend and having fun. It lets you pick a fun character and play around with other people playing characters and having fun as a group. What do you think the OOC purpose of a Head of Staff is, ingame?: When not getting ganked by an assistant in a maint tunnel, they're meant to be one of the best in their department, as well as coordinator/guide for their employees. They set projects and goals for their departments to complete, while maintaining a safe and productive work environment. Also as command, it's also part of their job to make sure nothing illegal happens under their supervision. And paperwork, lots of paperwork. What do you think the OOC responsibilities of Whitelisted players are to other players, and how would you strive to uphold them?: Perhaps it's just my years of experience talking here, but not much, honestly. The nature of the server itself presses responsibilities on the players. However, whitelisters take it a step forward. Having a whitelist is declaring that you feel confident enough in your roleplaying ability to take on additional risk for additional power. If I had to pick a less vague answer, however, I would say that the OOC responsibility to other players would be a higher level of maturity and level-headedness, since often time heads of staff are in conflict with the general populace. It would also probably help to not abuse your power and have a character brigged all session or demoted. That's no fun. Please pick one of your characters for this section, and provide well articulated responses to the following questions. Character name: Ob-Servo Character age: 5 Please provide a short biography of this character (approx 2 paragraphs): Ob-Servo is a Zeng-Hu Mobility Frame IPC. His original purpose was to observe (and facilitate) the experimentation and research of xenobiological specimens. He was made in a joint-company effort between Zeng-Hu Pharmaceuticals and Nanotrasen to further deepen the corporation's friendship. The goal of Ob-Servo's creation was to hopefully discover a medicinal purpose from xenobiological synthesis. The medical technology, if any was discovered, was to be patented by Zeng-Hu and solely distributed by was on Nanotrasen bluespace lanes. When nothing of significant value was discovered in Ob-Servo's years of research, the project was scrapped. He was then installed with a poly-variant predictive algorithmic code processor, which was intended to expand Ob-Servo's scientific usefulness to more generalized works. Using his new processor, he was able to parse scientific data into discrete groups and sub-groups, then using projected outcomes, create his own hypotheses and narrow it down to it's most likely outcomes. Using his new processor, his expanded data banks, and his loyalty programming, Ob-Servo was a natural pick to become a director of research aboard a research station. Side note: It would seem that P-VPACPs have had a very...curious effect on Ob-Servo's sense of style. What do you like about this character?: Despite being slapped together quickly before a round start (I even forgot to set his languages), Ob-Servo has quickly become one of my favorite characters to play. Simple social misunderstanding for comedic effect, his speech pattern, the outfit, the type of friends he makes, it's all great. What do you dislike about this character?: Honestly, the fact I limited such a great IPC to xenobiology takes away a lot of social interactions. No real complaints other than that. What do you think makes this character fit to be a head of staff?: To be frank, I intended on making a separate character for a head position, because I tend to make characters with too much rebellious or care-free attitudes to be a proper head. However, Ob-Servo is a recently made character, and even though I made him before I intended on filling out this app, I feel he'd be a great fit. His dedication to doing a neat and tidy job, his loyalty to his employer, and his aversion to dangerous situations make him fit for the job. I also imagine robots having neat handwriting, which I imagine is great for paperwork. Please provide well articulated answers to the following questions. How would you rate your own roleplaying?: Just like on my racial whitelist apps, I rate myself about a 7 or 8 on the average day when I get off work. I can bump it to a 9 or 10 after a good night's rest and when the situation calls for it. I'd consider my roleplay skill consistent, though I can change it up to fit appropriate situations. Extra notes: I keep telling myself "one of these days I'm gonna bother getting my whitelist back", but then I realized if I don't make myself do it, it'll never get done. So here we are. On another note, I've noticed that the RD qualifications say at least 30 years old, but IPC's max age is 30. I imagine it isn't that big of an issue, since age is completely different for IPC's, but it's a weird quirk I noticed. (It also proves I read and know the qualifications)
  15. I like this idea. I like it enough that if implemented, I would make a tajaran whitelist That being said, I feel there needs to be some balancing. Now, tajaran's damage weakness is big enough of a nerf as is that not much else needs to be changed. However, I think the claws should be exchanged for hiding, either by a subspecies or option on character creation. That, and any hostile actions taken should un-hide you. That way, you still get the first strike (which if you're smart, is all you'll need), but doesn't make you invulnerable to the defenders panicked self defense clicking.
  16. I was already convinced at 'ERT Whitelist' but the legion idea is genius. I also feel that the legion would be better in certain situations as compared to ERT. An all powerful wizard or changeling would be better suited to a highly trained ERT op, but something like rev where it's an unskilled, untrained mass of employees would benefit more from the large number of legionaries.
  17. Because of the wording of this sentence, I want to clarify for future viewers of the post, as to prevent misinformation being spread. I am not suggesting that merchant should require it's own whitelist. I'm just suggesting that already having an unrelated whitelist approval would ensure quality of RP for this unique job. Any other job that freely gives weapons as a non-antag generally has some kind of trust barrier in place (whitelist for heads, waiting period before security officer become unlocked), it would stand to reason this job could use something similar.
  18. Merchant is a great role. No lie, it's the most fun I've had with a role in years. That being said, I have a few (loving) complaints and improvement ideas. There's no real fancy way to explain it all, so I'll just list them. Whitelist - Honestly I'm not so sure about this one upon rethinking it, but I feel it still may be relevant. It stands to reason, given the higher amount of lore knowledge and RP needed for the role, that the prerequisite of having at least 1 whitelist approval could be implemented. This could also help lower demand for the role, but it's honestly not that important of an improvement. Suppliers - The big issue with the merchant role is the reliance on RNGesus, something most other roles do not have. You get 1 or 2 steady suppliers, and at any given time a handful of random suppliers. And it's completely random which ones you can and can't sell items to. I feel that having at least 1 of the 2 steady suppliers should be hardcoded to be able to be sold to, to ease up just a bit. The chance that any supplier will buy items should also be increased. I also feel that if you find a supplier you really like, instead of paying to have them stay a few minutes longer, you should be able to have them stay on the list for 500 credits. Contacts - Sort of like the permanent suppliers, a contact list should be a list of anywhere between 2 and 5 people/organizations/whatever that instead of selling you things, will buy things from you. Each contact will only handle a category of goods (I.E. mining equipment, construction materials, weapons, ect) and cost 50-100 credits to hail, making it costly to spam hailing them to remember what they accept. Station - This is just a list of things that would make good additions to the merchant station, listed from what I feel is most important to least: An additional airlock to space, an atmos locker with 2 or 3 Air canisters in it in case of venting and/or expanding, an APC charged by pre-wired solars/cyborg charging station for our IPCs, extra rooms such as a small kitchen, a garden, and a meeting/dining room to make the station feel livable and increase quality of RP by inviting characters there (which is super fun, even when not an antag). If you have any questions or need clarifications, please feel free to ask. Even if my writing isn't the best, I'm pretty passionate about merchant expansion.
  19. I've always liked the idea of vision cones. However, I feel it will never be implemented. The main reason is, lets be honest, fear. Even with a generous 180 degree field of view, people in incessantly complain about it. People suddenly wouldn't be able to meta see the guy with a gun behind them, or examine every 'Unknown' walking down the hall. It's a great idea, and it has my support, but I'm. Not holding my breath.
  20. I'm wholly against this idea, for a number of reasons. Firstly, and this is more of a complaint in general, I feel this whole coffee/coffee machine thing has been a bit forced ever since its implementation. Secondly, the inclusion of a 'barista' title as a replacement to the bartender title has always made me suspicious of its effect on the meta of SS13. The fact that it creates more competition for that coveted bartender slot is one thing, but the fact that 'barista' strictly implies serving coffee versus 'bartender' implying all drinks spells doom for the poor snowflake that dares to refuse dispensing alcohol. And lastly, the bar is great how it is now. Logically, the only place a barista area would fit would be if you got rid of the booths, which is terrible. So much RP has happened in those booths, they're nice. Plus, in real life when you go out to eat, do you ever willingly ask for a table over a booth? Of course not, are you mad?? Now, if the ever advancing infection of coffee fanaticism can't be stopped, I have an idea on how to make it bearable. Step 1 is to make barista a separate role. That clears up the stealing of the bartender slot. Step 2 would be to shove the coffee shop somewhere unused, such as the shop by the bridge, or maybe the emergency storage by medical (because lord knows medial loves coffee). Or, even better, put it in the vacant office on the surface. That way incoming visitors/employees can grab a cup before heading in.
  21. So, the main issue I'm seeing with my app is the question about what makes being an IPC different from a human. The short answer is "I don't know". It's a complex question for an IPC, moreso than other organic creatures, I'd say. For something like an Unathi or a Tajaran, it's a matter of culture change (with minor biological difference). However, for a completely mechanical being, it's a complete change from the ground up. Firstly, they have no biological needs outside of what's needed to remain operational and safe (I.E. they require energy to operate and a safe environment, but they have no desire to reproduce). Ignoring the changes to the basics of life, you run into more complex issues. What does it mean to only have the senses of sight and hearing (and possibly a sense of touch)? Does a mechanical being with no cultural upbringing have an innate understanding of good and evil? If so, does it even feel the need to avoid evil? Does a being that can fully function individually find any benefit to social interaction like organics do? Do the benefits outweigh the downsides? Does a being designed for 1 singular purpose find it's design restricting? Does it care? I'm not gonna fill this posts with those kinds of questions, but it's something that I want to explore conceptually as an IPC. And as for why he decided to work for NT after achieving freedom, the easiest reason I can think of is: Well, what do you do when suddenly given the freedom to do anything you desire? Der-T33 knows he needs power to continue to function, NT is equipped with the proper resources, and they were the ones who found him. The real question is why wouldn't he wish to work for them? They're the closest option, and he doesn't know much outside his current situation after being offline for 15-ish years. As for how he was found, I imagine he drifted until he landed on a meteor or the outside of a station and a mining crew or maintenance crew found him and brought him inside.
  22. Well, I wasn't imagining him being attacked, more like the space creature thought *it* was being attacked and fled, causing the cave-in that sent him flying. I was assuming a Cavern Dweller type mob, something huge. As for buying his freedom, a Hephaestus Generation 1 frame generally runs 230,000 credits. The current year is 2460, and the first frames (which he is) were made around 2440. Given a generous 5 year run time before being flung into space, we can assume he's been floating for about 15 years. At that point, whatever company owned him before probably considers him an expected equipment loss for a long time at that point. A mining bag can hold 50 ores. It takes 2 ores to make a diamond sheet, meaning each bag can hold a potential 25 diamond sheets. Each diamond sheet is worth 100 mining points. Assuming the credit to point ratio is the same as it was pre-update, 100 points is 100 credits. Basically, a Hephaestus Generation 1 frame is worth 2300 diamond sheets, which is 46 full diamond sheet stacks. Which is, naturally, a ridiculous amount to be carrying on your person. The math isn't letting me wave this one away easily, but I went through the effort to calculate it, so now you know. But, assuming that Der-T33 has been trying to pay off his freedom for the 5 years while operational, plus the fact that he'd have been considered a loss, I would assume the mass of diamonds on his person would be enough to pay off an old and damaged unit. From the company's view, it's essentially free credits to 'free' an IPC they had considered gone anyways. I feel given the choice of getting credits, or having to expend credits to fly out and back, repairing, and reworking an old and outdated unit, they would just take the money. EDIT: I just watched that youtube video. What did I do to deserve that lol.
  23. BYOND Key: Trazz666 Character Names: Jaylee Zaun, Krosk Uttaz, Rani Dayal, Wolf Wolff, Brooke Rosensteel Species you are applying to play: IPC What color do you plan on making your first alien character (Dionaea & IPCs exempt): N/A Have you read our lore section's page on this species?: Yes Please provide well articulated answers to the following questions in a paragraph format. One paragraph minimum per question Why do you wish to play this specific race: In all honesty, I've only had a passing interest in playing an IPC when they were first introduced years ago. My mind changed when I saw a Bishop Accessory frame. After looking into the wiki page on IPCs, I've become interested in the versatility of the different frames. Plus, I feel like it'll be interesting to get used to the new weaknesses vs strengths of a mechanical character. Identify what makes role-playing this species different than role-playing a Human: Well naturally, you aren't able to RP biological functions such as eating, running to the bathroom, sweating, ect. However, just like any other species, you get the chance to experience roleplaying a new view on everyday life. And as a non-biological species, you have to view things from an entirely alien view. It will fun to figure out what's important to a mechanical being's existence. Character Name: Der-T33 Please provide a short backstory for this character, approximately 2 paragraphs One of the original Hephaestus generation 1 frame, originally named IMB-D 267 (Industrial Mining Bot, Diamond designation). Their purpose was to, as you may have guessed, examine carbon based deposits for crystalline structures (diamonds) and extract them. Outfitted with an experimental delta-wave based carbon resonator, they would attempt to scan the mines for the signature resonations of crystal formed carbon. Due to an error with the carbon pinpointing device from a rogue radiation wave, IMB-D 267 began to walk towards what he detected as a large diamond vein. It wasn't a mineral deposit, however, it was a carbon-based lifeform. It attempted to flee from the strange IPC seemingly pursuing it, causing a cave-in that sent IMB-D 267 to be flung into the vast expanse of space. Shutting down to conserve power, the next thing Der-T33 viewed was the floor of a Nanotrasen space station. Using the diamonds still held on their person, and after a long process of clearing up any implication of theft of the IPC, Der-T33 bought their freedom. What do you like about this character? Due to the simple job of mining, it'll help me explore character concepts and the racial identity of the IPC without embarassing myself by getting it wrong on station. I imagine them being a slow to process things and speak, leaning into the machine part of his character. Plus, pun names are always the best. How would you rate your role-playing ability? I cruise at about a 7/10 on off days, I can push it up to 8 or 9 if I'm well rested. Notes: beep-boop
  24. I love Greg and he's always fun to play with. Plus, I totally ship him with vampire Jaylee lol +1 from me
  25. (Ok what the heck, my reply didn't post? I'm replying on mobile and it's terrible.) Kaed mentioned the age thing as well. He's going to be fairly young, 23 to 25, somewhere in that range. His clan would of been one of the first to colonize the planet. As such, he would of been surrounded by engineers building habitats and other buildings at a young age, influencing his career choices. As for religion, I like the Sk'akh's importance of balance. I feel his priest would directly, or indirectly have influenced his cautious and analytical nature, making him aware of his actions causing inbalance in situations not properly considered.
