  1. Apparently that's TG code. We could port that. Also, why not make camera jammers another item? They're far more obvious than the multitool notice thingy. "Hey, why's there a mountain of static moving around in my camera view...?"
  2. This sounds like a fun idea. Also, I wonder if unrandomizing camera wires, and making them work like airlock wires (where one scheme per round applies to all) would also be a good idea.
  3. This is an oversight which was already squashed once. It should be reported and squashed again. Also, while borgs may already have cameras, think of it this way. There's nominally 2 borgs per round, distributed to departments other than security a large majority of the time. The chances of them running into hostiles are not amazingly high. Sec, on the other hand, is a set of about 5 dudes. Whose purpose is to be in the shit and handle antags. So yeh. Comparison does not sound fair.
  4. Especially in the boxed enivornment that is BYOND I don't think this would be doable at this at this time. I mean you can aleady pin pictures to a billboard, why not add a billboard to the detectives office (sorry if there already is one) The thing about billboards is that they're too small. Though that could be mapped in because they're useful anyways. Anyways, there is a way. With HTML, CSS, and JS. But. Holy fuck. My head is going, "No. Please no. Fuck you. No," as I think about it. The main-main-über-main issue would be reliably getting icons from the board to the user. And also keeping the board synced up inbetween users. So. Yah. It's technically feasible, but it's horrible and painful and no, please ;-;
  5. I'll be frank. I have no clue as to how to even begin to implement such an idea.
  6. Well, seems to be fine. Archiving.
  7. i cri for my database query parser function.
  8. Over the past few weeks, Lohikar has been working on porting the soft lighting engine from another server. It's a soft lighting engine which, unlike the present one, is not tile centric. It instead allows for much smoother transitions of the lighting overlays. With performance cost not an issue at present, the Development team is curious to know if the community would be interested in giving this lighting engine a go. Or if we want to stick to a more tile-centric one (the one we have atm). Open the spoilers below for a massive dump of preview images. We may also throw it onto the test server in a few days to see how it works (I'll post a reply here and a note on Discord if that ends up happening). Any questions, concerns, or recommendations, feel free to post a reply!
  9. My usual mentality with any application ever is that, I get to know the person before commenting on their app. At which point, I only skim it over to see if it matches what I've noted thus far. If yes, that's enough. If not, then I look further into it.
  10. Application passed trial and accepted fully as of 20JAN2016.
  11. This is going to be arriving in part Soon. Arrow was testing digital warrants last night, which are slated for merging into dev as soon as I shake my headache and can review the code. Arrow is also looking at a much larger expansion of the IT field of the game, which may or may not include digitalized paperwork (technically it'll include almost everything needed to make it work, so even if not in the plan, it'd be easy to shove in). As for the new BB code. I may grab them over this dev cycle.
  12. For ref, here's the thing. (This is true size, 32x32 pixels. Download and upscale if you feel like it.) https://kama.skullnet.me/index.php/s/Ou5qnPfIjytG4Cg
  13. Alrighty, lifted. I also spotted some old autobans, so it may be that there's a mirror I've not deactivated yet. If you are still getting connection denied with the ban message, please reply here.
  14. A cloned captain should be removed from command 9/10 times. Alternatively, burn his corpse. Captain should have all access to everything forever and ever.
  15. Huh, ban #81 in the database. Old as shit. Ya, I'm good with lifting it, will give some 10 hours for any other staff to review this. Also, I approve of the ckey "teamrem". And if no one has anything to add after that point, I'll lift it.
  16. Tbh I'm on the fence about the Shells shit. And will look into it at some point after my exams finish. This, though, tends to fall more into the same category as having cat ears available for everyone would.
  17. A patch will be ran over the next 7 days to enact the change.
  18. Not a cat. :ree: Also, young cat: Sleepy cat: And, as a bonuses, calendar cats:
  19. No. There totally wasn't.
  20. If you'd be apart of this community and actually talk to the people on whose account you're having fun, maybe we'd actually get it. As it stands though. You're not an active member of this community. You're conducting yourself as a low grade troll who's on his way out and who knows this. Forcibly injecting yourself into the scene as you and your group of mates have been doing will only be perceived in one fashion: as trolling. Which is what it is. Further confirmed by the fact that you've spent the last year joining with low as hell frequency, and when you did join, there was always a 75% chance of you doing something retarded ingame and showing little to no intent in abiding by the rules. Like it or not, you've pretty much conducted yourself as Popecrunch in his thought experiment. Also, this half-way bullshit of, "Imma send mixed messages," is poor form. You either have a legitimate wish to actually keep playing here, at which point you'll cease shenanigans like the final line in your reply, or you don't. As it has always been, the choice is yours. EDIT: Oh. And the fact that you and NanoToxin (what was the ckey, RedHotMemes or some shit?) were working together was quite clear. We do have rules against metagaming, which were obviously not deemed relevant by you two in order to have some fun. So none of this, "But others took it too far!" shite. It smells.
  21. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I warned you lot on Discord. Your choice to not listen. Your clear intent to continue shenanigans doesn't really help much either. I'll leave it open for a day to see if Garn has any interest in entertaining this, but Ryfer can probably tell you my general view on people who want to do nothing but mess around. If he even remembers.
  22. You're still not giving me a concrete answer my man. You're also speaking against yourself. Shouldn't your lack of willingness to go along with the cult count as incentive to counter it? Plus, add in the amount of folks who want to bust heads because, hey, busting heads.
  23. What would this goal be, pray tell? They're fanatics twisted by powers of the Void. What else could they want to do? Also, Fowl is correct, I neglect el nookay. And he is also right in that there are a lot cultists who don't go for Nar'sie. They usually go for spreading their power or trying to take over the station.
  24. I'm going to point out that this sword has two, very sharp edges. I absoloutely love Nar'Nar. It is one of the greatest goals purely because of the spectacle she provides. Specially now, when she's more than a resprited singularity. She actually does something. She is the great end goal that everyone dreads, and a bunch of whackos want to get to. The fact that the cult has something this bad up their sleeve should eventually become obvious via the innumerable amount of horrific and bloody acts that they can commit. Removing it would basically remove a great end-game tool from the players. It would remove the thing about the round. Even if Nar'nar isn't summoned, the fact that she can have a tangible presence ingame is immense. I want lore to be tangible like this. I want to increase the amount of bluespace tears. The amount of times random Vox come. Whatever. Removing Nar'nar would be going against that, and would shove the gamemode further down, into a state of eternal, "Eh....".
