no. in my opinion, the "ling blob" is a trick that misleads the player into thinking they actually weren't taken out of the round even though they were. it's honestly better to just ghost and start the respawn timer. a "total feeding" should preferably not be a thing, but if it is, it should either turn you into a minor antag (like a minor thrall, who is restored to their former self when the changeling/vampire dies), or just straight up kill you.

a PR has been submitted fixing blobs spawning with no engineers active. it doesn't enforce a minimum population requirement, but scales with how many engineers are active. https://github.com/Aurorastation/Aurora.3/pull/14614

i support this application.

blueberry soup. cinnamon buns.

might as well just give vampires a blood pool from the start they can use to buy abilities with, rather than relying on stealth draining or death draining. then the vampire can do as they wish.

PR is up.

i personally wouldn't care if a psych doesn't do medical outside of psychiatric stuff and i'm surprised they're expected to do any medical stuff outside that at all (if this is the case?)

i agree. to continue on that line of thought, blob is kind of a leftover that doesn't serve much purpose and can probably be removed. the only way to defeat blobs now is with a emitter (unless you want to risk your life). it's not really engaging at all imo. either it deletes half the ship and is a pain to repair, or it gets stomped immediately.

suit sensors are already voluntary. there are also already items that antagonists can make use of to disable suit sensors, beside just disabling the suit sensors.

i assume the compartmentalization of the Horizon is something like in the image below. the elevators' current location is probably just because it was free space close to the central area. especially now with the stairwell being directly next to it. the tiles underneath it lead into the Intrepid, so it's not feasible to extend the elevator shaft down there.

security can't check cameras on code green. the AI isn't supposed (or is commonly played this way) to use what they see on cameras to "bust" antags without a very good reason. the cameras are fine imo. camera coverage is good for AI players so they have more to look at.

i haven't seen them much in-game, but i have seen them a few times and gotten a good impression regarding their playstyle. the answers in this application are also well formulated and gives me the impression that they understand the purpose of command very well. i also like that they mention quote, "Also don't be an authoritarian, micromanager. Please.", end quote. i support this application. +1

i know that the old europastation server (maybe it still exist?) had a modular clothing system that let you wear "uniforms" (like jumpsuits or pants) and shirts seperately. i think this is a great idea since it would let people put on a shirt and then wear a "uniform", like a jumpsuit, overalls, jumper skirt, or pants over it and so on. otherwise if you try putting on a shirt it requires you to already wear a uniform and layers over the uniform and just doesn't work at all.

Add a more feasible way to break open armory lockers
Gem replied to Confused rock's topic in Archive
the gun lockers in the armoury are set to armoury access, but should probably be set to security equipment access instead so that officer's can actually open the lockers. this would be the best solution, in my opinion. -
desven is cool and has written interesting lore about vaurcae. i like the answers they wrote to the questions and think it would be interesting to see them implemented, where applicable. since he's already a vaurca deputy i think he would do great as a vaurca lore writer. +1

i second this thought. many away missions usually rely on combat as "points-of-interest", as you said, rather than puzzles, environmental storytelling, or similarly. it would be cool to see more of this in maps so that more diverse teams are encouraged.

iirc dedicated exploration jobs and/or a department isn't going to be a thing because the intention is to bring a few people from every department instead. though honestly if people are already too busy with on-ship stuff, don't want to go on expeditions, or everyone keeps saying no to expeditions, a dedicated job or department should definitely be considered because then you know the players who chose that job for their character are 100% on board with going on expeditions.

i personally like the title "Acquisitionist" or "Acquisitions Specialist", as it reflects their current duties (or rather, performed duties) very well.

in a public hallway, behind reinforced walls, 6 turrets, a highly secured and bolted airlock (that requires captain level access iirc), a blast door that requires captain level access and being on the bridge to open, and its location in the public hallway making it very obvious if someone tries tampering with it whilst also making it easy to defend from boarders due to its location.

i second what Danse said. this is also what i had in mind regarding the scuttling device location when i did my remap. a vault would be cool though and would fit under the A.I. core.

i like the deeper dive into mythology in the new lore and further inspiration from Nordic as well as Icelandic folklore. seeing more elaboration on religious aspects would be cool, but is probably out of scope. i'm also glad the Filipino colonist aspect was removed from the lore. it felt kind of shoehorned, as mentioned in the OP.

Sneakyranger Command Whitelist
Gem replied to Sneakyranger's topic in Whitelist Applications Archives
sneaky is active in the community and i enjoy the takes they have on some things. i like the answers in this applications, especially where they point out that heads of staff shouldn't be micro managy and make people loathe them being in the same round as them unless "absolutely necessary". (if i read and understood it correctly.) he is also knowledgeable in game mechanics, especially engineering and by extension atmospherics, which fits his intended head role choice very well. for transparencies sake, i haven't played many rounds with him but the rounds i have played with him were fun. i think he would do great as a head of staff. this application has my support. +1
