  1. OK. Sure, I think it's very relevant. The issue stems from misinformation from your part. uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh..? Yes. Downplaying what it is, doesn't make it what it isn't. Very well, that is within your authority. It was still wrong to do, however. No. I see it as an out of touch Headmin doing what he thinks is right, despite it flying in the face of every precedent set to this day. Stop putting words into my mouth to try and make me the bad guy and I will extend the same courtesy to you. Thank you. That is personal opinion. Sadly, the issue of holding a shuttle is not a black and white matter, and should not be treated as such. If there is a reason to hold it, hold it. If there isn't a reason to hold it, don't hold it. There is no "ideal" outcome, because it has to be handled in a case-by-case manner. In this case, you handled it in a horrible manner.
  2. i prefer the TG ones tbh
  3. I was referring to the two months comment, as you should do research before throwing things out wildly, or, at the very least, apologize when you realize you messed up. To this specifically: This is fair, opinions are opinions and I respect them. Not being knowledgeable of what happens on-server is the crux of the complaint. Why did you call it an insult when it clearly wasn't an insult? I bear no ill will to the person, only to the capacity as a staff member in a high ranking position. This is all fair, and I am in agreement with most of it, but oftentimes what makes sense on paper doesn't stand a chance when shit hits the fan in-game, the PR that is up solves the 'issue'. It still doesn't even come close to touching on my point however, which was: Going, "I am the law!" as you usually do, and then calling people salty when they have a reason to be upset, is incredibly selfish. Please expand upon this when you find the time to do so. There are better way to solve problems than to force it down the players' throats. Bwoinking the command team and asking them to please not hold the shuttle is fine (to an extent). Command players are whitelisted players of the community who have proven their mettle. Taking agency away from them is shooting your most invested players in the foot.
  4. I think this is an annoying attempt to shift blame, as you've done throughout this entire complaint. You're a headmin. Don't throw your authorative weight around until you're certain about something. Excuse me? What? I want you to explain this to me. Are you trying to invalidate an argument by reducing it down to "an insult", so you don't have to address it? Going, "I am the law!" as you usually do, and then calling people salty when they have a reason to be upset, is incredibly selfish.
  5. Byond key: Geeves Discord key: Geeves#8863 Character Name: Kuhserze Ioraks Item name: Iorakian Cape Item function(s): The item will function as a regular poncho does, being able to be equipped in the suit slot, and also attached to other items. Item description: "A tough leather cape, with neat colours of the Ioraks clan threaded through the seams." Item appearance: Why is your character bringing this item to work?: Ioraks is a fashionista, and has many times referred to Dominian cloaks as being "Good looking, but not nearly Moghean enough." He would generally wear this cape around to show off his pride in his clan. Obviously, a cape isn't safe for a Chief Engineer to wear while working with heavy machinery, and as such will be doffed when preparing to work, just as you do with a departmental jacket when preparing to put on a voidsuit. How did your character obtain this item (1 paragraph or more please): Ioraks went to a Sinta tailor that had come to Tau and settled on Biesel, and had the cape made. What value does this item have to your character, and what story does it tell? (2 paragraphs here please): While there are Moghean items in-game, none of the wearables really show off the clan pride that Unathi are expected to have. This cape would lead people to ask: "Why do you have a cape?" Which could lead into the story of why Kuhserze had this cape made, what it means to him, what his clan means to him, etcetera. To Ioraks, his clan is the most important thing he has left in Tau. He abandoned Moghes due to the crackdown of the Sk'akh, the nukes, the violence in the wasteland and the scrutiny his type of Sinta would face. Then spent years pooling money to send back to his clan to get them out of Uueoa-Esa and into Tau. With that mission now accomplished, he decided to get this cape to celebrate. How will you use this to better interact with crew and/or stimulate RP?: Same as above. Sprites: Additional Comments: Big thanks to CakeIs(Not)Ossim for allowing me to steal his sprite and modify it for my needs, and SmallGreenAnt for making the north view on-mob sprite.
  6. please don't
  7. We can sprite a tiny little dickbutt monster, right? Right?
  8. I don't really think that's the issue Resi meant. Sure, some people will never hold the shuttle, whilst others will hold it carefreely, to claim that it was last used "two months" ago is blatantly false, and you'd have to be pretty out of touch to miss that.
  9. if it wasn't obvious i support this
  10. Joshie has helped me out a ton when I was struggling with DM, and I don't think I would have done what I've done for Aurora if he hadn't inspired me to do so. He knows mapping inside and out and has helped me out with it countless numbers of times. Joshie wants the best for Aurora, and I don't even need to prove that statement, it's crystal clear. He's shown his competence by completely making a huge event map that everyone enjoyed from scratch. Big +1.
  11. I fully agree with that, it seems to be the best option for what we've got.
  12. Alright, you forcing the shuttle a second time didn't lead to all the issues? Fair enough, I believe you. Thing is, emergency shuttles are generally called during emergencies, in which as many people should get off the station as possible, this include medical personnel who had to fix people up last minute. This is the general use-case for shuttles being held, and I don't think anyone has ever had an issue with it. I'm not even going to mention how rude you were in OOC afterwards, especially as a Head Administrator for the server. But, this can be forgiven as well, I suppose. Banter begets banter, maybe. Not sure. Can we get a revised ruling on the no holding shuttle thing? I think not being able to hold it all is daft. Forcing it without considering players even more so.
  13. In this context, the shuttle was held to allow medical personnel to bring injured people onto the shuttle. You forcing it to launch caused the airlocks to shut in their faces, which later caused the shuttle to vent. Is THAT not a shitty thing to do? Holding the shuttle for two minutes isn't bad. Force the shuttle if it's been held for longer. Heck, I can code it if it's such a big deal. No balls.
  14. side-note: people have been holding shuttles like. daily? at least once every two days. are you sure?
  15. ok, then ask us to remove it, shouldn't be too difficult
  16. why is it allowed ingame tho
  17. I've been meaning to leave feedback here for a while now actually, but I kept being sidetracked or forgetting. Sorry 'bout that. I think Lolziam has the spark of being a great player, but I have no idea how long they've been playing on Aurora now. In my personal opinion, they're good, but they need some time to age like a fine wine. I'd definitely support the idea of a trial, but my only fear is that they might not grasp all the mechanics or unspoken rules we have on Aurora. Best of luck, buddy, hope to see you around for years to come. PM me if you have any questions about being a Chief Engineer <3.
  18. Currently up on the Github at: https://github.com/Aurorastation/Aurora.3/pull/6639
  19. I'm taking this one.
  20. Cake isn't a 'that trial mod'. Do some introspection. The things that are happening to you are happening for a reason, you have been given many chances to realize this. Literally every single ckey you interact with is a human being with goals, loved ones and their own problems. It is understandable that you are upset, I would be too, Aurora is very important to me and I would do anything to stop myself from being booted out, same as you are now, but. This does not mean you can lash out and belittle people to make yourself seem better. Polishing a turd still nets you a turd. Please, if you keep acting like this, you will not be coming back. And, if this gets denied, I hope you think long and hard about what has happened the past few months, and improve yourself as a person. See ya.
