  1. Overall, this application is pretty solid, and shows that you have a good understanding of the lore. There are a few problems with it though. First off, the only character you have listed is the one you're applying for. You have to play as a human or another non whitelisted role for a bit before being able to apply for a whitelist. The second problem is your character's name. The unathi naming scheme is similar to humans, with a first and a last name. The "Social Mannerisms" section on the wiki page for unathi explains it all. I'm pretty sure that Sithiar can work for either a first or a last name. Also, It's completely fine to not exactly know how a department works, especially if your character is new to it. Usually, if you have any questions, there's somebody in your department you can ask, and even if there isn't, you can ask about most things in ooc. +1, as long as you fix those problems, though. It's nothing super crazy, so I'm sure you'll manage.
  2. I'm perfectly fine with IPCs being able to speak common, but other xenos should not be able to speak it. I would be fine with a siik'tau-esque version of solcom, but xenos being able to speak languages that have been designed for human mouths and vocal chords, but humans not being able to speak the xenos' language is kind of ridiculous to me. I know that Skrell and Tajaran languages require things that humans are unable to do, but what's stopping them from speaking the Unathi's languages?
  3. oh ok then thanks for that feedback mingus
  4. I've played 2 or 3 rounds with Querrshbi, and I can already tell that Aptare's roleplay, and Querrshbi's character design are both solid. They would do very well as a head of staff. Because the few rounds I've played with them was a noncanon event, and an extended round, I haven't seen them do much medical, but they seem like they have a pretty decent grasp on it. Definitely want to see how they do as CMO. +1
  5. yes, he's marrying gonzales I don't really know. Maybe? He's neutral towards them, but doesn't or at least shouldnt but im really bad at consistency like Guwans.
  6. Hi, I play the medical doctor Sean Merryman, and would love any feedback on my roleplay, or Sean's character design.
  7. Whoops, I meant higher pain threshold, my bad.
  8. What if instead of regenerative abilities, humans are given a temporarily lowered pain threshold so that they could keep fighting/running away longer than usual? That way humans would seem more resilient, while also not lessening the severity of injuries in the long run.

    Cultural Trends

It'd be great if the culture of the different groups/factions were more fleshed out, especially on the musical side. The only thing in the lore that I can think of right now, is that tajarans like electro swing, or something. also can we make jazz popular again thanks
  10. help

    1. Arrow768

      Arrow768

We dont really have a clown role on the server.

      Spoiler

The role you are looking for is called "Janitor".
This specific role is often used to play very special people, who only have been employed because nanotrasen needs to meet a quota for "minimally exceptional people"
Recently some of these special people have moved into the cargo department aswell.

Buy a supply container, 0.5% of having a clown pass.

  11. ratatouille event when
  12. This is awesome. Can't wait to have to actually do stuff as a doctor instead of just popping them in a scanner and just injecting them with something/handing them over to a surgeon. Will this be like a random event done occasionally, or will it have a schedule? +1
  13. you're fired for using your instead of you're
  14. hmmmm today I will smoke a lizard

  15. This is a direct quote from the wiki on Ceti Basic. (https://wiki.aurorastation.org/index.php?title=Languages) "A Spiritual successor to Esperanto, established in 2404 in Tau Ceti by Tau Ceti intellectuals. Its unique fully customized alphabet and structure allow it to be spoken even by most alien races." Skrell weren't discovered by humans until 2413, so it was not made with the purpose to accommodate for xeno speaking mannerisms, rather that it just happens to work for them, kinda. So my guess is that because Ceti Basic is an artificial language, where it was probably built to be learned easily as a second language, it's easier for xenos to learn it as opposed to Sol Common? Or it could be just that I'm insane and I'm worrying too much about how space furries can speak a fictional language.
  16. sorry, i was kinda vague in the OP PS marry me
  17. theres a program that lets you convert MIDIs into the text that the instruments use
  18. As of now, the instruments are limited to only 50 lines of notes, which is really limiting. Could it be raised at all?
  19. i was being sarcastic
  20. I love this, it's going to be great It's going to add even more depth to the already extremely complex and engaging combat system
  21. I have a few images from SpaceEngine that might look nice as a background. https://imgur.com/a/O1F608C

  23. human item: Super duper force gloves that explode if you try to modify it. Also if you disarm yourself with them equipped it sends you straight backwards Also if you punch someone with them equipped they have a 1%chance of losing a limb/head Also if you punch them in the groin they are gibbed Also if you snap your fingers with them equipped half of the crew gets gibbed instantly
  24. Okay, I reworked my app, but because you can't edit posts for whatever reason, so I'll post it here I reworked my explanation of why IPCs are different to humans, the second paragraph of the backstory, and what I like about LINHUA.
