Maybe that's one of the reasons nobody likes playing it. There's weight to this. Personally, I don't believe the station will function at its full potential if departments don't interact with one another. Cooperation is important for a workplace. There are times when you need a medical practitioner's advice on anatomy. There are many, many times when you want a security officer in science with a really big gun just in case something goes wrong. Want to know how a machine really works? Ask an engineer, they work with those all day. Research is about learning and discovering, and any scientist would be hard-pressed to do that without using every source of information at their disposal. It's also a way to keep other people on the station involved, which has been highly underrated as of late.

I like our paramed cave. But there are problems. The first and foremost is how it's completely cut off on both sides, requiring medical to drag patients out of cryo, through storage, and to surgery. This wastes precious minutes. While the extra space is nice, I do feel it could be used a bit more effectively.

Keeping geneticist as a default title would be counterproductive. Genetics research would no longer be the main focus of medical research. That's not saying it shouldn't be an alt title, however, biologist would make a more fitting default title.

This is literally what I have wanted forever and I want all of it. But I have suggestions A biochemist alt title. Focuses on studying a subject's biochemistry and has no chemist duties. A biotechnologist or biotech specialist to change up the uniformity of names. A biotech's area of study would be mostly be augmentation and integration of it. This would make the most since if biologists could produce mechanical eyes and organs like they should Put vials in the lab. Vials are cool and sciency and I wish we had more of them on the station.

I "cut open" antags because command allows it. Allow me to clarify. Antags that do not function like normal crew members, possess abilities unheard of, ie wizard, vampire, changling, are - with command's permission - subject to physical examination. This is not my decision, regardless of whether Phoebe argues for it or not. You were an extremely hostile, very irregular specimen, who grew blades out of its arms, stabbed people with its tongue, and regenerated whenever put down. In command's eyes, I believe you'd have waived your rights for humane treatment at that point. And command had requested your arms amputated. As far as I know, Phoebe is one of the few surgeons/xenobiologists who preform biopsies on foreign lifeforms. I wouldn't mind teaching other people and guiding them through the whole testing "process," as I do believe it's something station biologists should know how to do.

Pants are meant to be worn in the uniform slot. Since it's a workplace, it's expected that you wear a shirt with them, but there's virtually nothing stopping someone from walking barechested around the station, besides a flustered security force.

I'm against just about every aspect of this. - Removing players/characters for an entire round is something that has already been discussed at length, and generally decided as not cool at all. If a player wants death roleplay, all they need to do is not return to their body when cloned. In addition, it is ridiculously easy to kill someone in SS13. - Removing cloning from genetics would leave make it so the geneticist's only purpose would be to discover disabilities, mods, and powers, which I personally am avidly against. Cloning is actually a large majority of a geneticist's job, especially since self-testing is largely frowned upon on our server. - Clone roleplay is a large part of medical procedure. A significant part of cloning protocol relies heavily on the doctors, checking for DNC, disibilities (which would make a UI+SE necessary), cryogenic treatment and medication. There's also, of course, Clone Memory Disorder, which means the clone cannotknow that they were cloned. While each crew member reacts differently to the information, it's impactful on each of them, and leads to serious consequences for the worst. Compliance with this procedure is more frantic when cloning of a doctor or head of staff is in question, as some heads of staff require re-implantation. - There are much cooler things to do to genetics.

Out of frustration, I take the issue to LOOC. I am writing this complaint because I do not believe it is an IC issue. This behavior is unbefitting of a lawed synthetic, much less that of one on a heavy roleplay server that disallows ERP. There was no reason for the continued disobedience after the law reset, the flimsy justifications, nor the uncomfortably erotic dialogue. I was also hit with this before I was about to leave.

I do. Genetics has been stuck in limbo. Nobody talks about it or acknowledges genetics research until we need something from it, which from the sound of it makes it seem like there isn't much to genetics in the first place. Giving genetics more fluff and backstory would make it so we could actually talk about it without wondering where the hell we're going with it.
