  1. To be handled by Arrow's IT/digital paperwork expansion.
  2. Suggestion binned by lore developer decree.
  3. Unnecessary. The HoP can already easily link ID cards to station accounts. it seems a bit useless to use up a whole ID over one/two transaction, but then again, heads of staff can use an ATM for this, provided they have the station fund pin number, so maybe we can give the HoP the pin number of all 5k department fund accounts? along with an ATM in his office. The HoP has the PIN of every account on station. A credit card is literally the same thing as an ID card, and the HoP spawns with a box on his person and a box in his locker full of ID cards.
  4. Unnecessary. The HoP can already easily link ID cards to station accounts.
  5. Application denied on account of the player's involvement in a serious scandal.
  6. Preventing observers from voting is not the same as the "no vote influencing" mandate of a year ago. While the latter is a dubious claim the former is proven - a large portion of players online at any time are observers, lobby-sitters and etc,. If we really want to discuss the idea of ""player rights"" we need to define a player. Is it an observer, or someone in the round? I say it's actual players. We design the game to service participants, not lobbysitters. If you are unable to play the game at all because your role is occupied, then that is a seperate issue.
  7. I think the best solution is simply to prevent any organ damage to other components while the armour component is still functional. I honestly do not see why it is anything but this.
  8. For the sake of clear data; Pylons will indeed fire every 5 deciseconds, or every 1/2th a second, very rapidly. Basic pylons deal 4 burn damage, with 10 armour penetration and +4 accuracy. (AP of 10 isn't hugely important, +4 accuracy means they'll pretty much never roll a miss.) Pylons have an effective range of 10 turfs, which is 3+ the normal range of 7 turfs. Everytime a pylon is hit by a projectile that deals burn damage, they will become empowered for x amount of shots, x being the projectile's damage x .3. Meaning a regular laser rifle will empower a pylon for 10 shots. An empowered pylon still fires every 1/2th a second, but will deal 12 damage - 3 times the amount of an unempowered pylon. I'm not so good at math, but assuming that you're not wearing any laser-resisting armour (Which will be most of the population, except security) A regular, unempowered pylon will be able to kill you in 50 shots, or in 25 seconds. An empowered pylon will be able to kill you in 16 shots, in 8 seconds. Be aware that for half of that time you'll probably be in crit. Multiply this by all of the pylons spammed in an area (They are cheap to make - only require the sacrifice of a simple mob or a monkey) Pylons have no definite health - rather everytime you deal damage to them their damagetaken var increments by the damage you deal. It then rolls a probability check of (damagetaken x 0.5) to determine whether it will die. Dead pylons can be repaired with a new soul. Unlike a player, a pylon will never miss (This is made especially clear with their +4 roll to accuracy.), meaning that for every 1/2th of a second you are in their kill-range, you will be hit.

  10. Vaurca Hiveship Emerges From Deep Space! Editors note: Translated to Basic by human Sinta'Unathi linguist. A statement has been released from Moghean Space Command in which the agency has confirmed rumors that a large Hiveship has been detected entering the Uueoa-Esa system. 1 hour after the vessel was originally spotted the Lord-Regent was contacted and informed of the incursion and its possible sources. 6 hours after the Lord-Regent was originally notified, confirmation was sent to him that the vessel matched the agency's data on the ark ships typically employed by Vaurcae. 24 hours after original detection the Royal Government sent notifications to the nobility of the Hegemony, and this public release 48 hours after first detection. According to the release, the object was detected outside the Ytizi Belt, the outer asteroid belt surrounding the system, after it developed a massive heat signature over the course of a few hours. The object has been described as "colossal", with long range scans showing it to be almost 28 kilometers in length. For comparison, the Cataclysm, the Hegemony's largest warship, is only .94 kilometers in length. However it is smaller than the Hiveship "Titan Prime", which measured 30 kilometers in length. The vessel, dubbed Fortoken by the royal government, is expected to pass Omzolo, the outermost gas giant in the system, by late evening on March 9th. Navy scientists have examined the vessel's massive heat signature and known models about similar Hiveships to predict with confidence that the Hiveship is charting a direct course through the system, passing between Moghes and Ourea, slowing down as it passes the planets. The press release does not go into further detail, but more information has been provided in a statement released by the Lord-Regent Not'Zar Izweski. Despite the Lord-Regent's characteristic cautious optimism, nearly all Lords have summoned their levy's, and many have expressed anxiety and worry about the possibility of a Lii'dra incursion, a distinct possibility given the almost year gap between today and the Lii'dra invasion of Elyra in late August of 2458. The High Priest has issued several assurances, saying "We must steel our resolve in the face of this coming storm." Xenolinguists and scientists are said to have boarded the HMV S'zseki, a Foundation-class corvette, and dispatched to intercept the Fortoken and attempt to hail it directly. The mission is lead by Lord-Diplomat Sa'zi. Lord Sa'zi was appointed the Hegemony's top leader in Sinta-Vaurca diplomacy but has not yet engaged in any formal diplomatic missions with the strange species. Nevertheless, the royal government has expressed its full confidence that Sa'zi will be able to bring messages of welcome and peace to Moghes' newest guest.
  11. No. The results are based solely on antag objectives and event outcomes. I did quite a lot of math and am willing to share it with Jackboot's permission, but the gist of it is that no matter how you crunch the the numbers pro-synth wins by less than 5%.
  12. Law Established In District 9! After a long and weary night, the Sol Alliance has finally announced that they have been successful in their operations of restoring order to Mendell City, concluding their aggressive peacekeeping operations in the slums of District 9, where they had the greatest difficulty not because of any staunch resistance, but because of the inherent logistical issues in navigating the “alien waste the district had become”, as reports one Sol peacekeeper. As a whole, the entire operation induced very few casualties, as Sol Alliance officers quickly adapted to the situation to prevent riling up the largely docile Vaurcae population. One peacekeeper reports that the issue with maintaining law in Flagsdale was not that the Vaurcae population is actively resisting Sol occupation – as a whole they appeared to be very passive – the issue was that the Vaurcae population was resisting the standards of proper society entirely. The same peacekeeper equated them to the savages of early colonial human history, except that the highly organized Vaurca hive structure allowed them to actively resist assuming culture. This peacekeeper, who by Alliance military regulations has chosen to remain anonymous, proved invaluable in describing the operation, providing a summary of the night’s events with great detail; The source then went on to relate the actual description of the district for a while longer. The things he described were certainly surprising – BEP machinery all but abandoned, barely concealed K’ois farms, a hardly recognizable cityscape, and a population almost wholly indifferent to the ideals and laws of the human city that they existed within. As the peacekeeper patrols began to attempt to establish themselves and the law they met resistance and little to no cooperation from virtually every Vaurca. Dismantling the K’ois farms immediately visible consumed the better part of the evening, as Vaurcae began to physically throng around the locations, preventing heavy machinery from rolling in. Traditional crowd control ordinance such as flashbangs and tear gas failed to intimidate and disperse the Vaurcae crowds and only resulted in unaffected Vaurcae replacing the affected Vaurcae. The peacekeeper indicates that they considered simply opening fire, but quickly decided against it after accounting for the sheer ratio of Vaurcae to Sol Alliance personnel. It was at this point in the operation that the peacekeepers ultimately decided that the first thing they had to do was apply pressure to the leadership. At 2:47 they secured and surrounded the locale of the recently-promoted Zo’ra Queen, Ta'Akaix'Vaur'skiyet'sca Zo'ra. Consulting peacefully with the hierarch, the Sol Alliance was promised the order that had always been maintained since the Zo’ra arrived. Deciding to chalk this up as a successful operation, the officers then departed to the outer rings of the district, and focused on ensuring that no possible human protestors sought the district as refuge. A few hours after the operation, we secured a briefing with the Sol Alliance Peaceekeeper Division chair, who reported that;
  13. Sol Alliance Quells Unrest in Mendell City! Following the surprising statement released earlier today by the former president of Tau Ceti, Joseph Dorn, a great deal of unrest has inflamed throughout Mendell City, with several poorly informed citizens finding Mr. Dorn’s report as a message of ill-placed hope, and taking the opportunity to attempt to disrupt the Sol Alliance’s hold on Mendell City. In response to these outbursts, the Sol Alliance has laid down a strong arm of law across the city in coordination with the Mendell City Police Department. A new wave of protests began in District 12, amongst the universities and colleges of the youth of Mendell City. The morning air was thick with the inane chants of “Our Life, Our Right. Sol Leave Tonight!”. While the majority of college-youths were easily dispersed with a show of arms by the MCPD, the flame was already sparked and quickly spread to the adjacent districts in a several dissolute streams of loosely-organized unrest. In District 1, the Sol Alliance has dispersed hundreds of protestors seeking to recreate the events of earlier this week. Much of the district has been partitioned off, including the entirety of the “Memorial Touchdown Craft” monument that occupies the centre of the district, and the fulcrum of the majority of organized pro-Republic sentimental protests. Several other large parks have been similarly cordoned off, including much of District 2, for the risk they pose to the city’s peace. Gambling in District 7 was disrupted by the wave of protestors dispersed away from District 1, forcing the Sol Alliance to interfere with a heavier hand. Several individuals were arrested, and a large fight broke out forcing the MCPD to non-lethally incapacitate several further individuals with peacekeeping ordinance distributed by the Sol Alliance. Protestors in District 10 took the opportunity to loot several storefronts and destroyed thousands of credits worth of commercial property before MCPD personnel could respond to the scene. Protestors held out for several hours amidst the beloved amusement park “Space Commando’s: Alien Safari”, which is infamous among synthetic freedom groups for using several hundred IPC labourers as disposable mooks for the “Space Commando’s: Real Live Action Movie” events. Protestors were ultimately cornered by the candy floss dispensers, and several more individuals were incarcerated. District 6 saw the last holdout for much of the organized protestors, who fled to their roost among the criminals and disorderlies of the area. The MCPD, with the direct assistance of several squads of Sol Alliance Peacekeepers, met firm resistance among the criminal elements of the area. However, in the final hours of the morning they were at last able to ensure a final peace with the coordinated arrest of several instigators of the protests. While the MCPD chased down the last waves of protest, the Sol Alliance busied itself with reinforcing order within the more unaffected districts. Curfew has been strictly enforced in the residential districts of District 5 and District 3. Patrols have been strengthened in District 14, 13, and 8. With these bold actions from the brave men responsible for keeping our city safe, we begin to at last see the first approach of the era of peace promised by being a constituent of the Sol Alliance. The week of unrest that accompanied the Sol Alliance reclamation was at first worrying, but these peacekeeping actions have proved a great comfort. The Mendell City Police Department itself has been at its most efficient, a surprising turn of events considering its history of ineffectiveness following its complete restructuring after Republic's succession from the Sol Alliance in 2452. The Sol Alliance has now issued a statement promising to keep the city as safe as possible as they respond to the waves of unrest inspired by the exiled Dorn’s comments. They fully intend to make this peace absolute later today as they prepare peacekeeper patrols to penetrate the deeper folds of Mendell’s slums, in particular District 15, 11, and 9, who, while largely silent during the waves of protest experienced thus far, could prove very dangerous to the safety of Mendell City due to the density of their criminal elements possibly becoming involved in protest themselves.
  14. As this suggestion has already been implemented, it has been accepted.
  15. I have thought about it extensively, and have unfortunately decided against accepting this application - through no dire fault of the applicant themselves. You are a very competent mapper and have definitely proven yourself to be very dilligent and passionate, but the simple fact of the matter remains that the size of the mapping team is more or less where I want to see it. In the past larger teams have failed to prove themselves more effective than smaller teams, and I think we all work best with a trio of dedicated mappers. I hope that we can maintain a strong relationship with you and other passionate non-developers because at the end of the day it is the combined effort of everyone that benefits the server best. Rest assured, if a position ever opens in the mapping team you will be high on the list of considerations, as again I am very impressed with your passion. I am sorry that it has taken so long to resolutely determine this, but the matter has been very conflicting in my mind because again you are a very admirable candidate, however there simply is no opening currently.
  16. I understand that you're trying to be helpful and assist Nikov in his application, Delta, but you're hyper-aggressive approach is completely unnecessary, particularly when the question was not directed at you and this application is not by you or for you. I would seriously advise you reconsider your strategy as wingman - a better one would be letting things follow their natural course instead of torpedoing the application by derailing it. Aka, buzz off. As for you, Nikov. The vast majority of your objectives appear to be largely directed at tidying up the map. These objectives are not particularly compelling, and an aptitude for spotting bugs that haven't been sorted with yet is not really an impressive asset, although your help is of course appreciated. Of your three objectives, two of them are devoted largely to infrastructural overhauls, which was a topic I asked you to skip over because it has already been made clear in your application and your discussions with me that your first objective is to create your ideal network, your second objective to be a mapper. The overwhelming attitude I've gathered here is the desire to dive in and perfect every little thing, and to hell with all else. While you may idolize the OCD obsession as a positive quality, I cannot help but imagine it as quickly tiresome. My least favourite past-time is butting heads with colleagues, and there has been a distressing hint of butt to head throughout this application process. There is no shame in operating purely as a ghost-mapper, and feeling like you have to be a developer to see any change is probably not healthy. I would seriously not advise pursuing this application unless you are comfortable in working within a team-orientated environment - because that is the key distinction between a ghost-dev and an official dev; official devs are part of a team, for all of its good and its bad. And on that point, I still feel no overwhelming need or desire to add on another member to my team. Despite Delta's assertions, I am confident in both the competency of the mapping team and their ability to take the map down the final stretch, polishing it off in preparation for release. I am not sold on the idea of another member because I do not think it is necessary, and I would not be willing to accept a member unless I knew they were competent and able. And that is the reason I have kept this application of yours open for so long, instead of shortly dismissing it like others. I am confident of your ability to actually map, Nikov, and of your competency in design. Yet, the doubts I still do nurse - work ethic and priorities, still concern me. I will give you the benefit of the doubt, and sleep on this decision, posting my final verdict tomorrow. In the interim you are free to post anything else that comes to your mind that may be relevant to your application.
  17. I still maintain my apprehensions concerning your priorities. I do not think it would be unfair of me to estimate that your number one priority, indeed your entire purpose for applying as far as I can tell, is to create your own ideal of a pipe-network. While this may be all well and good, it's not something that is strictly needed right now, and more importantly it is not a sustainable position as a mapper. Mappers cannot be specialists first - they need to be able to accomplish most any mapping task, and must have the desire to do so. Additionally, there is no present need for a mapper as is. Keknar, Juani, and myself can take care of pretty much any mapping that the final days of the new map require, and no major additional projects are in the plans. With all this in mind, I'll ask one final question before making my verdict: What can you, as a mapper, provide to the mapping team? You have seen the new map, so I ask of you to formulate 5-10 distinct objectives - either related specifically to the new map, or for Aurora in general - beyond improving the piping/wiring network.
  18. Update on Mystery Message: Unrest In Mendell City! In a surprising turn of events, political unrest in the general populace of Mendell City has grown over the past hours after the discovery of the unknown Hivenet signal from space. Several isolated incidents have sprung up throughout the districts surrounding District 9, and many worry that these incidents may congeal into a more centralized and disruptive movement. In District 6, several roving Vaurcae inspired resident store owner Grisome Jack to initiate an impromptu lynch gang with several of his neighbouring vendors. In pursuit of a small group of Unbound workers, the gang ran into a police patrol and were apprehended without causing any significant damage to any Vaurcae within District 6. Police reports indicate that the gang is being held for the night, but a trial will not be held. In District 11, four street gangs individually made an assault on the border fence separating District 9 and 11. The scene quickly became a turf war, and the gangs quickly turned on one another as the evening progressed, abandoning their original intent of penetrating into District 9. Police cordoned off the area, and waited for the gangs to burn one another out. At 8 PM they engaged in an assault and arrested over twenty gangmembers. Reports indicate twelve casualties, two of which were Vaurcae bound who were tunneling by the fence in violation of district codes. Another, smaller turf war began shortly thereafter between fleeing gang members, who were similarly apprehended by police in pursuit. Simultaneously, several relief workers affiliated with the NSFP (New Sedantis Foundation Party) who were engaged in awareness campaigns were driven out of District 11, but otherwise were largely unharmed. In District 14 two factories largely abandoned after downsizing following the Sol Alliance embargo were engulfed in flame after what was reported as a botched K’ois burning conducted by hundreds of disgruntled citizens from surrounding Districts. Several people were evacuated to nearby hospitals with third degree burns, and the FEP was called in for biohazard control. After a brief investigation the area was cleared once it was discovered that the alleged “K’ois” being burnt was nothing more than a breed of corrosive space lichen. Gerald Forgenheimer, the instigator of the K’ois burning, reports that he scraped the space lichen off of a long maintenance belt in an orbiting NanoTrasen space vessel, genuinely believing it to be K’ois planted by one of his Vaurca co-workers. The source of the fire is apparently a combusted welding tank that was unmarked by the factory’s previous inhabitants. A group of NSFP workers were apparently arrested after breaking through the borderfence of District 9, with the intended goal of “humanitarian effort”. Two of the group had in their possession a substantial amount of K’ois spores, indicating that they were smuggled off of a NanoTrasen facility. This is further supported due to the occupation of the leader of their group, who the police have elected to retain anonymously. The police report however states his occupation as a botanist. This incident sparked several NanoTrasen employees to publicly declare their unrest concerning the free availability of K’ois to NanoTrasen botanists, which they claim to be “highly dangerous and thus unethical, and surely in violation of workplace safety practices.” A number of Vaurcae were caught trespassing in a large field in the Abaster Fields district. They refused to give a statement explaining their purpose to the Mendell police patrol that apprehended them, but judging by the contents of their persons they were prepared for a very long journey. Police reports indicate that between the three individuals there was a kit of digging tools – presumably for creating temporary habitations, a shoddy map of the continent Astraeus , several pounds worth of dried K’ois prepared into meal-sized rations, two large bundles of NanoTrasen Vaurca-Phoron rations, and what appeared to be a large Vaurcae thermal knife that had been smuggled from Titan Prime, as well as various other sundries. Meanwhile, NanoTrasen reports that they have made significant headway in the decryption of the mysterious signal that they received from outerspace yesterday. They indicate that they have devoted much of their research resources aboard the Titan Prime to recovering the contents of the message, under the impression that it will be a valuable resource. A spokesperson from NanoTrasen stated that they had decrypted almost two-thirds of the message, and were very impressed with the contents. They further went on to elaborate that the contents of the message could potentially be very valuable to both the Zo’ra hierarchy and the Republic of Biesel and various other third parties. The spokesperson then said that; . This was later confirmed by NanoTrasen when they reported that after they had finished decrypting and archiving the message, which they believe would not take more than 12-48 hours after the publishing of this article, they would be holding an invite-only auction to sell the data. They have indicated that based off of the information they have acquired, only a portion of the message is of enough contemporary value that they would be unwilling to part with. The rest is valuable solely for its historical purposes, and thus they are eager to turn the censored version over in full to any collectors of xeno artifacts. They have additionally stated that they cordially invited Ta'Akaix'Vaur'skiyet'sca Zo'ra, the lesser queen of District 9, to send a representative if they would be interested in participating in the auction. They inform us that they will be offering no bid advantage to the Zo’ra, despite claims of the message rightfully belonging to them, in the interest of holding a perfectly fair event. The Bugle has been granted press exclusivity over this event, and as such we will be posting a press report after its conclusion.
  19. Mystery Hivenet Signal: Could More Zo'ra Be Inbound? Readers are likely familiar with the controversial New Gibson Hivenet Relay negotiations held this past summer, in which NanoTrasen stepped in and officiated a compromise between the Zo’ra hive and the officials of the Biesel Republic, permitting Zo’ra to maintain a Hivenet Relay under strict NanoTrasen supervision. One of the key tenets of operation was the following; This regulation has been seen by many to be more of a precaution than an earnest worry, and until recently it has remained unbroken. However, this afternoon maintenance officials for the Hivenet Relay on New Gibson were surprised to learn that a top priority signal had been received from an uncharted star system several hundred light years distant. The signal, unnoticed, had been automatically, and allegedly without any Vaurcae intererence, redirected to a communications node aboard the Titan Prime. Fortunately, NanoTrasen reported that the communications node has been disconnected from the system ever since they had begun research operations aboard the Hiveship. NanoTrasen researchers have assured us that they are confident that they were able to isolate the message without any Vaurca receiving it. Dr. Elene Rodgers, a renowned pioneer in the field of Vaurca ‘linguistics’, states that the field of Hivenet decryption has progressed lightyears since their first steps aboard the “astounding” Vaurcae arkship. He is totally confident that, especially in light of this last incident, they have almost mastered the art of manipulating the Hivenet and believes that NanoTrasen possesses total capability now of monitoring, censoring, and distributing information that the Vaurca typically keep to themselves, on all levels. He has reported this to be “very exciting”, and may prove integral to tracking and controlling Vaurca movement throughout Biesel and can even be applied to Vaurca in other systems, in particular the Lii’dra. Unofficially, but on the record, he has hinted that they may shortly be producing a device for sale to the Biesel government that may afford them a similar control of Hivenet communications for Vaurca interned on their worlds, and he himself dreams someday of a commercial device to allow broad civilian access to the “wonderful world of the Hivenet”. As to the actual message itself, NanoTrasen reports that they are hard at work in decrypting and transcripting it now. The message appears to be of a certain length that indicates it as a report of some sort, however researchers are confident that Titan Prime itself was probably not directly targeted as a recipient. The originator of the report is assuredly of the Hive Zo’ra they state, but they do not have an exact location as for its origin point. They indicate that it is from a region of space that has thus far been officially uncharted by any Human or Skrell explorers, automated or otherwise. The age of the message is currently unknown, but they estimate it can be anywhere from a decade to several centuries dated, based on current understanding of Vaurcae pre-Contact technology. Researchers are excited to learn the contents of the message for the possibility of learning more about uncharted regions of space, and in particular learning more about Vaurcae currently not represented by the interned population of Zo’ra in Tau Ceti. They are under the current impression that the message likely has no bearing on Tau Ceti Zo’ra itself, as they again believe that the Titan Prime was not specifically targeted as a recipient. Reaction to this unexpected news has been mixed. The Republic of Biesel officially states that they “trust NanoTrasen’s opinion on the potential national risk of the message, and that due to more pressing local matters they will have to decline making an official muster of their own until more information is available as to the relevance of the message upon national security.” Many, especially residents of Mendell City, have taken issue with this response. One concerned citizen, who has elected to remain anonymous, has stated that; Several others have reported concern towards the potential reaction of the Vaurcae currently present in Tau Ceti. One Emma Crool states that; Ms. Crool’s concerns strike true – regardless of the contents of the encrypted message, the fact that there has been a message at all may act as the final straw for the already poorly controlled Vaurcae in District 9 and even on New Gibson. The poorly executed maneuvres of the national government – the BEP project, the Department of Vaurca Integration, and more – illustrate a sordid picture for the future if the Vaurcae become animated against the interests of Biesel, which the message may incense them to do. Already amateur analysts of District 9, colloquially known as “BorderWatch”, have reported that Vaurcae activity within the slums grows more and more agitated, which they attribute equally to the curiosity as to the contents of the report and to frustration and worry that NanoTrasen had somehow become so adept at manipulation of the Hivenet as to isolate the report to themselves. NanoTrasen has assured the public that, in response to these concerns, they are perfectly capable of fielding their prototype Hivenet overwatch devices in case of potential turmoil, and they are confident that they will be able to nip any Vaurcae instigated conflict in the very bud. The Hive Zo’ra and its Lesser Queens have not released an official statement to the press.
  20. For Vaurca, combat is a means to an end, and as the wiki states there is virtual zero sense of competition or sport in fighting. As such, not only do Vaurca "play to win", they have really non native concept of "fighting fair". To them, winning for their hive is the only fairness there is. There are no bushidos are chivalric codes for Vaurca warriors, and the taboo for them is the same for all Vaurca - essentially, serve the Hive and worship the queens. The wiki does elaborate however on some more specific taboos that apply to all Vaurca but especially warriors; In regards to "never leave a soldier behind", that depends on the nature of the conflict. Two warrior Vaurca that are Unbound may become comrades, and as such value one another's life. So long as their behaviour does not blatantly contradict the Hive's wishes, there is no real reason for them not to fight in the interest of mutual survival. That said, a Vaurca warrior is unlikely to go Rambo because his buddy was captured by Li'idra, and equally unlikely to really deviate from the objective too much. Warriors certainly have a distinct mentality. Whether they have human friends or not really depends on how likeable they are.
  21. Per title is not a sufficient description of what you want.
  22. You will find often that OoC considerations carry more weight than IC considerations in the avenue of mechanics; were it not so, the game would be rather unplayable as we think of it now. There is a great distinction between the tools of security and the tools of combat borgs - combat borgs are strictly lethal tools, and for the majority of antagonists a borg can't apply these lethal tools except for extreme circumstances. Furthermore, it makes the switch from regular to combat borgs a tactical decision rather than a no-brainer - if security borgs had access to BOTH nonlethal and lethal tools, as well as mobility upgrades and plasmacutters, when code-red was called, why wouldn't you call code-red all the time? Best of both worlds and all of that. Nothing demands straight up murderboning. If a combat borg cannot effectively utilize their tools without killing everything in sight, without providing a satisfactory conclusion to the RP (As killing or being killed is not a bad thing in an RP scenario), then perhaps they should do as Chada does, and restrain themselves. Borgs are not meant to be perfect models of their organic counterpart - they are meant to be very good (thanks to their virtual unlimited and undisarmable tools) but very limited (thanks to the fact that those tools are all they're ever going to get). Broadening the toolset of the securityborg just because "Security borg must equal security officer!!!" is contrary to this design guideline.
  23. Much improved. Application accepted.
  24. The application is particularly lackluster. Your promise to build your character notwithstanding, a robust understanding of Vaurca lore cannot be portrayed by promise alone. The base is good, merely expand it further. There is little else to comment upon with the backstory at such a basic stage.
