  1. This application on a whole is standard quality. To make it more attractive, I would seriously suggest expanding the backstory further. Consider possibly expanding on Goz'is life pre-NanoTrasen, perhaps their first interaction and general opinion on humanity and Biesel, etc. I would find it ideal if all Vaurca on station were involved with the political climate of Zo'ra on Biesel, and the best way to ensure that is to ensure that the applicants are aware of it, so I would seriously suggest incorporating perhaps beyond the wiki some of the multitude of news articles that have been released concerning the Vaurca.
  2. I would seriously advise expanding on this question, particularly because your assertation that the only reason Vaurca exist is to one day rebuild their VR paradise is mostly wrong. Vaurca have a lot more goals than simply reforming as a virtual society. "Za'Akaix'K'lax Zo'ra" is the very opposite of an appropriate Vaurca name. I understand that it is perhaps unfair to critique your perception of VR, due to the fact that VR in practical terms is not really a large topic explored on the wiki, but I feel safe in asserting that this is ridiculous - VR society would at least follow roughly Vaurca society. A highly authoritorian race would not have an egalitarian VR, and a purely subterranean race would not consider sunbathing on the roof of their suburban two-story house to be paradise. Vaurca don't even much like the sun. Then we get onto a problem that you seem to have repeated - your character is really approaching some cliche "Mary Sue" levels of backstory. Who exactly would be whispering to a random low-ranking warrior to "follow their destiny"? This is also very problematic. VR does not make you forget what you are - Vaurca in the VR understand that they are Vaurca. Also, why would a species consider themselves ugly? Just because Vaurca are ugly to us does not make themselves ugly to each other, although as a genderless society I would consider it highly unlikely Vaurca care too much about physical attraction. The whole Matrix "It was all just a dream, Neo! You live in the simulation!" thing does not work with Vaurca. They understand exactly what they are. To add onto that, warriors would obviously not forget what warriors are. Also, why would he be called Zaw? Why does your Vaurca have three different names? I dunno. He seems pretty unique with that whole "Follow your destiny" spiel. I am not really seeing a great deal of improvement in this application. Should you continue to apply, please try next time. While the wiki may be flawed, it strikes me as if you only skimmed it due to the serious misunderstanding you have about Vaurca society.
  3. If you had read the wiki, you would've known that "Grey/Black" are unacceptable colours for Vaurca. Note that this asks what makes roleplaying the species different, not playing them. Do not merely list off mechanical changes. Insert "Marty Sue was always different to the other Mary Sues, but he was pretty good anyways.". 'Always different' is a very bad motif to start off on, and to be so boldly stated - espcially in a species that values similarity between individuals - indicates a snowflakeness to the nth degree that is not offset by a quality character, since the rest of your backstory is lacking quality. Being ejected from a hive, especially as an Bound, is not likely. If you were physically or mentally deformed, you would simply be killed and your augmentations repurposed. If you were ejected from the Hive as a Bound, you would not survive - Bound Vaurca depend on Unbound Vaurca for motivation, and would be purposeless without a Hive. Unbound would probably go crazy without one. NanoTrasen would probably not recruit an individual Vaurca. Any Vaurcae that work on NT stations do so because of work-trade deals manufactured between the parent hive and NT, in which Vaurcae employees are hired in bulk. Altogether, this application will need a lot more work. You may find it easier to write an application for an Unbound Vaurcae, as they are more familiar to our human ways, and thus it is easier to write a compelling and lore-appropriate application for them.
  4. Gummy bears existed briefly before Nanacooking. I presume Nanako had a reason for removing them?
  5. I will be considering chaplain and ghost expansions post new-map.
  6. This thread has gone on for a long time, and has not really produced a whole lot. Beyond the possible suggestions to changing conversions, and removing stun talismans (which is a duplicate of another thread), I don't really see a lot of this happening unless it is formatted in a more coherent and sanitary manner. As it stands, cult, along with all other gamemodes, is a tool - it is the responsibility of the players to use that tool to create situations. We cannot mechanically force RP, no matter how hard we try. If players are powergaming with cult, that is more the avenue of the administration, if the problem exists at all. Re; polls. Suggestions are not a popularity contest, and you really only make the post much harder to digest by encouraging polling. Re; "lore issues". Until these issues are confirmed as a problem that needs to be fixed by Jackboot, I feel it is safe to discount this claim. Voting for dismissal as it stands, based solely on the OP. Other solutions that were presented in this thread may one day be pursued if someone feels like they care enough to revive them in their own suggestion thread.
  7. Enacted by Shadow. Marking as complete.
  8. Tasers work fine as is. Perfect for catching greytiders, but easily thwarted by most antagonists. Voting for dismissal.
  9. Resolved by; https://github.com/Aurorastation/Aurora.3/pull/2104
  10. After looking at it personally, I am now inclined to agree.
  11. Resolved. Marking as completed.
  12. #1 has been fixed by our lovely volunteer coder Moondancer. #2 has been decreed noncanon by both Cake and Jackboot - MMIs do not go into IPCs. #3 remains unsolved. I will remedy this.
  13. I maintain this opinion, and assign this project to myself.
  14. Resolved in; https://github.com/Aurorastation/Aurora.3/pull/1994 Marking as completed

    [2 Binned] Blobs

Blobs have pretty much reached a stabilized point. Beyond that, I plan to touch blobs again once new maps rolls out, in line with a suggestion Nikov shot my way now long ago. Voting for dismissal as it stands, or I guess just realization that this is continously my assignment until I die.
  16. Resolved in;https://github.com/Aurorastation/Aurora.3/pull/1994 (Though it's been silent for a little bit.). Marking as complete.
  17. Supermatter ejection is going to be different in the new map. No point in changing it now as it stands. Binning.
  18. Nanako has reduced pylons, and there seem to have been no further complaints. Marking as completed.
  19. Duplicate of various other economy threads, but not as good. Binning.
  20. Done in the new map. Binning.
  21. This is far too similar to the e-mag, but more overpowered. The emag could possibly do with an improvement, but not like this. Voting for dismissal.
  22. Not going to happen. I am fine with how Vaurca sprinting works. Binning.
  23. Bug, not a suggestion. Binning.
  24. Cultists now have a ranged weapon in terms of the pylon, love it or hate it. Marking as completed.
