Well, if we're doing complete lists of all characters... Ariana Eshlian - Human, female. My second SS13 character period, whos history is mostly made up of canonized in-round events from Paradise and Aurora. Started out as a security cadet training to be a forensics technician, graduated, did some case work, then after a rather bad encounter with a rogue synth that caused her to lose her arm, she started a course for internal medicine to become a surgeon. Azaela Nejem - Tajaran, female. One of my more recent cats, made to be a Njarir businesswoman with a strong desire for upholding corporate regulations regarding paperwork and procedure. Went from shift manager at a indenepndent warehousing company, to quartermaster for NT, then Head of Personnel and IAA. Canonically deceased. Flowing Rivers of Blood in a Field of Battle - Diona. Currently unplayed, as diona are currently borked on newcode due to restrictions coded on them (No gloves, no glasses, basically can't serve his role as a surgeon.) Very /very/ firm about following the 'hyppocratic oath', and is against any kind of conflict whatsoever. Jonathan Rase - Human, male. This would be the Duty Officer I play. Yes, I consider him a character and play him like a character whenever he's on station. Formerly a Chief Engineer for NanoTrasen, he got shifted over to the CCIA department a couple years ago. Rather friendly, but quick to get stern if you do something wrong. Haifa Ajam - Tajaran, female. A character I made by randomly rolling just about everything I could. Has an addiction to alcohol and cigarettes, to the point she sneaks a flask of whiskey with her every shift while working security. She's primarily a CSI, first working with the PD in Little Adhomai and now with NanoTrasen. Hasn't been played since newcode. Katana Silvers - IPC. Originally she was nothing more than a pAI on Paradise called 'pKATANA'. Technically my third character ever made on SS13 because of the pAI thing. She evolved and grew into the AI, borg, pAI, and IPC that runs around station as an atmos technician or security officer. Kunai - IPC. No longer used by NanoTrasen. A very militaristic styled AI that was given its own IPC by the Katana project board. People didn't like him much. Kylan Lo'Rah - Tajaran, male. Third or fourth Tajaran I've made. M'sai, security (Officer and Warden, then promoted to HoS), with a history as a soldier for the Republic of Adhomai during the first revolution. PTSD became too much of an issue, with an attempted suicide, and he was retired from security and transferred to cargo and mining. Rarely played, canonically working aboard other stations on shortened shifts under psychiatric evaluation. Might be more-than-friends with Na'im Yarkiy. Rasine Saani (Formerly Rasine Ha'kim) - Tajaran, female. Second cat I made, sometimes called 'angercat' due to how aggressive she tended to get. She's primarily a miner, sometimes works cargo. She's also Nasir's twin sister. She had a bad leg for a long while, the result of a mining incident that caused a cave in and crushed the bones; It wasn't properly repaired the first time. She's married to Jo'Zah Saani, and has calmed down from how aggressive and quick to react she used to be. Sairis Helosi - Human, female. The first character I ever played on space station. She started off as a cargo technician on Paradise, became a quartermaster once I OOCly knew what I was doing. Came to Aurora and became an engineer, and was my head of staff whitelist character for chief engineer. Very snarky, sarcastic type of attitude; Doesn't take shit from people but tends to be lenient aboutt regs as long as things are done properly. Now she only makes appearances as an ERT/Escort. Saite Kesra - Unathi, female. My unathi whitelist character. Another more reserved character, traditionalist, from a clan on engineering Unathi though she was never taught the trade due to being female. Very friendly, has some difficulties with Tau Ceti Basic, and is very formal when addressing people. Samantha Black - Human, female. My latest character. She's a Sol Alliance citizen who's recently moved to Tau Ceti (As in, within the past month) after being promoted to Chief Medical Officer in NanoTrasen and transferred to the area. She's a supporter of ATLAS, believes in human supremacy, tends to be stern and take no shit, but also accepts criticism and can be friendly when she wants to be. Sarah Wolfe - Human, female. A head of security/captain I made awhile back, whom I'd nicknamed 'Bitch Captain'. Let's face it, she was an outright bitch. Strict, stern, aggressive, took no shit from anybody, regardless of who they were. She was also the type of head to be out there in the thick of it working with her department, or gonig through all the departments personally as a captain. Seriuati Uaekis - Unathi, female. Second unathi character I've made; A part of the Uaekis clan, and is an atmosphereics technician. She was one that didn't relaly follow tradition, with the usual mantra of 'This isn't Moghes.' Fairly independent, left Moghes shortly after her brothers did, and has a history of winning fist-fights when she was younger. Hasn't been played since newcode. Siiead Kesra - Unathi, male. Saite's brother, from the same clutch of eggs. Tends to put up a front of bravery, but is actually quite cowardly (It's why he left Moghes, in fact, quickly volunteering to go with his sister to Tau Ceti - He wanted to avoid the conflicts). He is a trained engineer, taught everything that all males in his clan are taught. Titus Young II - Human, male. Internal affairs agent I made back when I became a DO several months ago. Didn't get much use because IAA was shat upon constantly by the community back then. Zaki Isra - Tajaran, male. Related to the others in the Isra clan. He started as a surgeon, then I decided to make him a psychistrist instead. He's a lot more well-mannered than the other Isras, and tended to try and settle them down when they started getting overboard. Isn't played much; People seemed to ignore/judge him OOCly before they even met him. Zakiya Ahmad - Tajaran, female. A M'sai tajaran I planned on bringing on station months ago, alongside one of Loow's characters, but things happened and that fell through. A very reserved tajaran, doesn't like small spaces, unsure of coming to Tau Ceti, and was raised outside of the city. Basically she's a country girl. ZAVI - IPC/Synth. A very /very/ bubbly AI with a Tajaran vocal system. Friendly, eager to help anyone, thinks cigars are murderous beasts. Rarely, if ever, played these days. Ziva Ta'kim (Formerly Ziva Mo'Taki) - Tajaran, female. My first cat, and the one from my whitelist infact. Primarily engineering, but has started working on transferring to mechatroniuc engineering in research to work with her cousin more, and move out of the more stressful and demanding role of maintenance technician to ease some of the stress on her heart. Married to Kas'yrr Ta'kim with recently born twins, Suha (Named after her mother!) and Talin.

So the middle option that i agreed with, is correct. Cyborgs should stay behind on a functional station, but evacuate in an emergency? Incidentally, are they allowed to evacuate in a situation which obviously should be Code Red (like imminent self destruct) but the emergency evacuation isn't actually triggered (for example, by traitors taking control and cancelling the shuttle). can they leave on an escape pod? Or alternatively, if people call a crew transfer instead of an emergency evac, when the station is FUBARed. I see that a lot, it's a sort of "everything's screwed, lets end the round and restart" And i had no idea bringing the AI along was allowed. Why should an AI be evacuated? They're just software, i don't understand why they'd have any value. perhaps their servers and install disks would, but... Law 4 requires you to protect yourself as well. While there's differing opinions on how/if a cyborg's laws override eachother, I personally roll with 'If the station is fucked and can't be saved, law 1 is broken either way. I should at least follow law 4.' I don't go by code levels or solely if it was an evacuation call - A code red evacuation could have been because the station isn't in a suitable state for organics, but isn't pending destruction either, such as a virus, or a major breach that cyborgs could repair.

Lolwat, that's not something I've ever said. I mean you CAN choose to do nothing but I think its more interesting to decide yourself a resolution to the law conflict. Then go with whatever law you decide is more important. So like "HoP is crew but Hes killed six people, bombed the bridge, and is wearing spooky robes while commanding an army of juggernauts. Time to get door crushed motherfucker" The times I was told similar things as AI was back when Doom was the head admin, so it was some time ago.

3. Protect: Protect the crew of your assigned space station to the best of your abilities, with priority as according to their rank and role. It doesn't actually directly state that you cannot harm crew under any circumstances in this law. It only states to protect them, which the AI should infer that killing/harming them in not protecting them (even though I personally believe that writing in laws and trusting the AI to follow them by morality is really bad). However, if one crew member is being a shit and killing everyone and destroying the station, I'd say that you're doing more to protect the station and its crew by killing that crew member than you are by doing nothing, wouldn't you say? I could go on about AI and its laws and how it should act for an eternity and a day, but this isn't really the place for it. I hope this is somewhat explanatory, at least. I wouldn't go so far as killing them. Disabing/crippling thm, however, might be an option with that interpretation. The only issue here is when I did try an interpretation similar to this (The well being of many outweighs the well being of one), admins got on me and told me outright 'No. You take NO action that can get someone hurt. You do nothing instead.'

It's CCIA's job to police the captain in round. If there's an issue with the captain, and it's not an admin issue that you would ahelp for, you send a fax to CC. There's a fax machine in each each of staff office, the IA office, and the warden's office that can be used to contact central about a captain breaking regulations.

A tajaran IPC, with ash-red synthetic fur and glowing orange eyes, made its way to the security checkpoint with an older looking human woman. The IPC spoke when it came their turn to be checked in, with a smooth, clearly synthetic and russian-sounding feminine voice. "Greetings. Two for boarding. Katana Silvers and Katrina Silvers." The checkpoint guard silently checked their tickets, and baggage, and after some brief questioning on the presence of power cells and technological equipment which Katrina, they were allowed in. They split up after that - Katrina heading toward the B gate, while Katana scanned the crowd for a moment, then started heading Jim Calhoun's way, having been informed he was in charge of the protection details she'd signed on for.

As both parties are waiting for administration to make a reply, and I want to avoid the impending peanut gallerying, this thread will be locked until said admins can respond.

As a note, the fax was sent by ForgottenTraveller, not myself. I refrained from handling the fax in any manner as I have an active incident report up against his character. It was also Gollee who decided to have us take that route with what the fax said. This was also talked over with TableSpoon/TishinaStalker (At least one of the two, I tend to get them mixed up). I'll leave the rest up to Gollee to respond to.

Overview of the Incident: At the start of my shift, I noticed an unattended Unathi visitor (Ziariuz Izweski) making modifications to the vacant office in arrivals. Upon questioning him, he claimed to have authorization to perform the modifications from Central Command. Upon requesting for any potential verification on radio, and finding out we had no command staff available, another voice spoke on the radio stating they were central command and he was authorized. This turned out to be an NT escort who arrived afterwards to the station and because working with the visitor, whom was then identified as an Unathi ambassador. Throughout this round, the ambassador made public, derogatory statements against Tajaran crew members, including issuing threats, and challenging one of the Tajaran crewmembers to go to Moghes, unarmed and unarmored, for a 'proper greeting'. He also made a statement to a Tajaran near the end of the shift of ordering a bombardment of the Tajaran homeworld Adhomai. The tajaran crewmembers (Safiya and Rafee Isra) responded with derogatory comments and threats of their own. Both crew members were verbally warned, repeatedly, by myself and the head of security, and they did cease the insults over radio for a time. Sometime later in the shift, while patrolling the halls, I observed the ambassador running down the hallways with his escort chasing him with a stun weapon drawn, firing on him. Upon assisting with detainment, the escort informed me that the ambassador was infected with a virus and had breached quarantine, running past several organics including security personnel, whom all became infected with the virus. He willingly returned to medbay after being subdued with tasers. He then reportedly attempted escape again, making demands to be separated from the tajarans and removed from virology, which could not be met due to quarantine procedures. Further reports indicated he began assaultng Safiya Isra by throwing items at her, including a 'bluespace tomato' which teleported Safiya into a space-facing wall in virology. She somehow survived this event, and was inexplicably teleported back into the quarantine room. The ambassador was subsequently cuffed under order of the head of security, and the ambassador's escort. The ambassador then reportedly broke out of his handcuffs and attempted a third escape. Note that these incidents occured while I was outside of virology assisting with other issues, but multiple security personnel within virology reported the same incidents. Near the end of my shift, when the crew transfer announcement was posted and we were informed the virus was cured, patients were being released from virology. As the last call I had heard at that pint was that Izweski had escaped detainment and quarantine, my primary focus was locating him. I found him cuffed to a bed, being taken out of medbay by his escort, where he made additionally comments regarding tajaran. I left him to the care of his escort, and headed to departures for the coming transfer. This type of activity seems counter-productive to the role of an ambassador and diplomat, as he claimed himself to be, and is the type of activity which would have warranted detainment of any crewmembers and demotion by a head of staff. Don't worry about the delay! Now, into matter: Ibrahim belongs to the Hharar ethnicity, even though his adoptive parents both belong to Zhan-Khazan's ethnicity group. They all lived in Nal'Tor during the childhood and teenage times of Ibrahim, which is the capital city of the People's Republic of Adhomai, the only country recognized to this day by the major factions of the galaxy. People's Republic is the only country recognized by Nanotrasen and is where most of their Tajara employees originate. Ibrahim lived throughout his whole life in a multi-ethic city, as you could expect from a big city which is also the capital of the country, and thus didn't have major troubles with discrimination. However, his entire adoptive family, himself included, have suffered from occasional discrimination derived from the adoption of Ibrahim, who belongs to another ethnic group than their adoptive parents', reaching the point of receiving death threats. These, fortunately, were never carried out. In regards to his higher education access, both Ibrahim's parents have middle-income jobs, his father working at one of the multiple mining facilities as a supervisor on the perimeter of the city, and his mother being the owner of a small and humble bakery in their neighborhood. Due to this, their parents could afford to supply Ibrahim with some decent higher education, which wasn't in the best universities of the planet, but rather on a very regular one specialized in marine-related jobs (ship building and maintenance training, ship captain's training...) near the port district of the city. Ibrahim has, however, experimented high levels of discrimination when working at Nanotrasen, normally originated from humans, which hasn't, fortunately, reached violence yet. Due to Ibrahim's calm nature, he doesn't take all the insults he receives to heart, and rather prefers to deal bureaucratically, which normally ends in a demotion or dismissal of the racist employee. This right here tells me you're putting work and effort into this character and his history. I like this. +1

Just want to hop in and say we did a bit of testing and confirmed there /are/ a couple bugs regarding the camera console view that fit what Sadistic Nightmare described.
