For clarification on #1: This means CC overrides the captain, and the captain overrides regulation? This slightly conflicts with #2, which states regulation cannot be overriden except in emergency. I'd slightly reword #1 to be CC > Regulation > Captain, except where #2 applies.

If other, replace line and specify.) Overview of the Incident: Zakiya was working the cargo shift on July 25, working with Johnny Aultman as quartermaster and Jim Mann as another cargo technician. The first problem in cargo was Jim and Johnny taking vending machines from everywhere in the station and bringing them in cargo, then arguing with security when told to put them back. They were arrested and cargo got in trouble, even though Zakiya had nothing to do with what happened. The second issue when they came back, they trapped an engineer and told him he had to turn in his helmet because cargo decides who needs what and were not letting him leave until the AI opened the door. Zakiya asked them why they were trying to steal, and they say it's cargo's job to control who has what. The third issue, they stole a cow from the chef and brought it into cargo. The chef (Sahtura) came to take it back, and Jim and Johnny attacked her with weapons. One had a crowbar, the other had a lit welder. Security had to arrest both of them again and Sahtura was hurt. Them going to the mining outpost and disabling the console pretty much made my mining character that joined midround unable to do their work, and left me with nobody in cargo to interact with. Turned the round into bar chair RP for me from the moment I showed up, until the shuttle. I thought they were traitors/antags or something so I didn't think anything of it at the time.

The way I'm interpreting it is based off Directive 4. Here's a relevant announcement that I sent out as a Duty Officer earlier today: Basically, unless command staff say otherwise, the geneticists can self test AS LONG AS the powers are not taken outside of the department (Research/medical). If command staff say no self testing, then no self testing. If command staff say they're allowed to leave the department, they can leave.

Can the chemistry dispenser be updated to include a 1 unit option alongside the 5, 10, 30, 50, etc options? I've been working out some calculations for mixtures and some situations use a more finetuned among of something (I.e. 13 units of N), which would be easier to work out if I could go by increments of 1 instead of 5.

This will change the Skin/Scale/Chassis/Fur field in the generated records to match whichever selection is provided. As a note, there's the possibility this is being moved onto the aurora server proper, so the above URL may change (I'll set up a redirect to the new URL if that does happen).

Just got to observe some of these issues as AI between the two. Ariadne1's character seemed very very intent to keep accusing Furry's character of breaking regulations and getting her demoted/arrested, more so than of actually doing anything; I watched her literally stare over Safiya's shoulder as she worked, then immediately accuse her of deleting everything and sabotaging research. I can't confirm anything as I was an AI and can't monitor everything that happens, but it looked like the character or player was being targeted.

Loyalty implantation is not to be meant to be end-all be-all. It is not to be meant to be truth serum, at all. It extends to assist antagonists as loyalty implantation forces you to forget all about who you were working for. Hence why decultification results in memory loss. This prevents the metagame effect that results in 'switching sides.' People who get implanted should roleplay that memory loss. I actually thought people knew about this. Yeah.. Nobody does that. I was playing Uaekis as a traitor awhile back, worked with someone else to get them the nukedisk. That someone else got caught, implanted, and outed me because of the implant.

I'd particularly like to have the option of 'Implant the antag, all the antags get outed cause lol loyalty implant is truth serum, permabrigged, and the rounds now extended' to be removed from the game.

I approve of this idea. So many times I would rather communicate of a department channel for one reason or another.

I've come to the realization that I may be one of the oldest people in this community.

Can this be something we play out IC as a synthetics rights movement, whether it actually happens or not in the long run being irrelevant to the RP and storylines this can creat? It'd be better than sitting here talking about it in OOC, then one day suddenly IPC's have rights without any IC buildup

Just a quick announcement that I broke the syncing software on my server and had to completely purge and reinstall it to get it to work again. This means all the files stored on the server (The php and html files) got wiped, including my scripts for the records generator and the DO fax format. The database that stores the saved records is intact, so once everything can get resynced again it'll work fine. However, there's a lot of stuff not on the bts directory that's more important that I have synced/backed up, and I'm running those in first. It'll probably be dead until tomorrow.

Haven't had my equipment or a field to play on for the past few years, though. I had a nice ArmaLite M15A4; I miss that thing. Currently I spend most of my time at a computer, either gaming, writing, coding, or a mixture of those three. I also do some color work with color pencils, not on the computer. BYOND Key: SierraKomodo Player Byond Key: draculabot Staff involved: TishinaStalker (Provided the ckey) Reason for complaint: During a secret malf AI round, where the AI was running a gimmick of turning the station into a bakery, Dracula joined in midround as a captain (Simone De La Fontaine). The rest of the crew was going along with the bakery thing and all was for the most part well - RP was happening, the AI was doing its thing. Shortly after arriving, the captain starts ordering the AI to stop doing the bakery thing, orders everyone to stop going along with it and, though I didn't witness the exact events, it appears the captain then metagamed and tried breaching into the AI core and ended up getting himself captured as a hostage. The round started going toward the typical station vs AI, break into the core before the AI calls delta that always occurs when someone tries to go straight for the AI core. Considering this is a head of staff whitelisted player, playing as the highest ranking head of staff, I feel this is not how a head of staff should be leading a crew and round. The purpose of the head of staff is to further RP for the other players and the round, to make things more fun and interesting, not to play 2 win against the AI core without a single word to anyone about what they're doing (Afaik nothing was said to anyone; I had security channel access during this round). I've been thinking about what a realistic income/poverty level for each of my characters might be, based on the work they're doing for NT and the income they'd be getting for that work. What I'm currently wondering is the following: - What is the credit equivalent of 1 modern day USD? I.e., a loaf of bread that costs $1 IRL would cost how many credits in lore? (Answered - http://aurorastation.org/wiki/index.php?title=Economy) - Does NanoTrasen pay on a fixed salary (Same amount regardless of hours) or on the clock (X credits every N hours)? - Based on the paygrade tiers listed here, what is the salary/hourly pay for employees at each tier? How much is the extra hazard pay? Any bonuses/additional pay for things such as miners bringing in extra plasma?
