Considering we had discussions a few months ago about civilian staff going after an AI and breaking into the core when they shouldn't be, why are we now wanting civilian staff to be going after an AI and breaking into the core when they shouldn't be?

Incident Report - Security issues; HoS suicide attempt
SierraKomodo posted a topic in Closed reports
Reporting Personnel: Filed on behalf of Kylan Hadyara, whom was admitted shortly after trying to commit suicide while on duty Rank of Reporting Personnel: Head of Security Personnel Involved: Konrad Brecht (Detective), Robert Carver (Warden), Na'im Yarkiy (Officer), Alexander Sheppard (Officer), IAM (Forensics Tech), Phobos (Cadet), Lilac (Scientist), Chance Mendoza (Officer) Time of Incident: (If unable to provide, leave blank) Location of Incident: NSS Aurora Nature of Incident: []Workplace Hazard []Accident/Injury []Destruction of Property []Neglect of Duty []Harassment []Assault []Misconduct [X]Other _____ (Place an x in the box that applies. If other, replace line and specify.) Overview of the Incident: Kylan Hadyara was admitted shortly after an attempted suicide - One laser shot to the side of the head. Found on his person was a paper, which appears to be notes, that showed the following: On comparison with the crew manifest, this appears to have been notes on the security officers from the shift. Speaking with a psychiatrist following medical recovery, we determined high levels of stress were responsible for his attempted suicide. The stress in turn caused by the above listed issues. We request an investigation into this matter, as driving a head of security to suicide is no small feat. We've ordered Kylan's temporary removal from security until his mental state improves. Did you report it to a Head of Staff or IAA? If so, who?: Unknown. Captain Elena Raschnikov was on duty. Additional notes: This notes also had a recommendation for a medal: Trucy Faraday (Cadet) - Recommending for a medal of commendation: Acted quickly and to recover and bring a wounded person to the medical bay without being ordered to, before Kylan had arrived to do that task himself. The quick recovery may well have saved the engineer from a fatal infection. -
Kek, I understood that reference .gif I've been playing RP stuff with Loow for a long time, I think about a year maybe? SS13, DnD, Pathfinder, random crap that I can't even remember. He plays his characters well, and I know he's put a lot of effort into this application because he's been bugging me for help with it for the past two months or so. It's also more fleshed out than the recent influx of applications I've seen.

Cobracoco007 IPC Application
SierraKomodo replied to cobracoco007's topic in Whitelist Applications Archives
I don't recall seeing that character Ondoncil before. When do you usually play? -
The pAI /can/ bioscan others, but it requires either being in their hand or on the same square as them (On other servers, same square is easy because you can walk through people that are standing. Here they have to be laying down).

There's certain people who I will absolutely refuse to play as any ind of antag AI when they're online, for the sole reason of validhunting /and/ powergaming by these players. I had a round a few days back where I was playing AI. I wasn't even an antag. Said AI, Kunai, has quirks, errors, and glitches from time to time. had to go AFK for a bit, so I decided to post up the announcements like I usually do saying there was a fatal error and it had to shut down for a time. I came back to find my core open, and that I'd been carded by the chief engineer. I don't think anything was event actually /said/ prior to my being carded. It really needs to be handled and toned down.

Don't mean to hijack this thread, but this is actually related to the topic. Particularly on genetic diseases. How feasible is it for this genetic heart disease that Ziva currently has to exist in Tajaran lore? Particularly as something that is currently only treatable, not curable?

Hawk - Tajaran Whitelist Application
SierraKomodo replied to Hawk_v3's topic in Whitelist Applications Archives
I'd have to agree with fleshing out the application more. You've only got two sentences there instead of two paragraphs; I also don't recognize any of those characters. When are you usually on? -

Player/Round complaint (Wizard, 2nd May 2015)
SierraKomodo replied to Killerhurtz's topic in Complaints Boards Archive
I can confirm that the security officer present at the time was very quick to arrest the wizard for what seemed to be no valid IC reason, and set the timer to 35 minutes (I was quick to get a command staff member in there, and set the radio to the AI frequency to listen in). While the wizard was explaining his thing about spirits and such, the security officer says 'Wizard Federation', which Alberyk had not once said that I'm aware of. I can't say what happened in virology prior to the explosions, because I couldn't listen in there due to lack of wall radios that covered the part of the room they were in. -

Not having all this extra equipment that wont be used on the shuttle will help with nuke ops going for a certain gimmick, too. (See the player complaint that's buried in there somewhere).

[CLOSED] Incident Report 5/26/2457 - Terrence Frank
SierraKomodo replied to Tainavaa's topic in Closed reports
TO: Tina Kaekel, Medical Doctor, NSS Aurora FROM: Jonathan Rase, Duty Officer, NMSS Odin SUBJECT: RE: Incident Report - Terrence Frank BODY: We've concluded our investigation of this incident, and have determined agent Terrence Frank to have been at fault. We will be making our decisions as to the actions to be taken shortly, however I can say now that the fines levied by Agent Frank during this incident against Tina Kaekel and Katelynn McMullen have been voided, due to the circumstances under which they were levied. Similar to the BWOINK sound admins/mods get for when an ahelp is received. There are times where I'm multi tasking, with aurora open on the lobby for the intent of handling DO faxes that come in, but I tend to miss said DO faxes because I don't immediately know when they arrive, and they might have gotten lost in a sea of OOC, or when I remember to check, it's no longer relevant. There's also been occasions where I'm observing or in game doing something, and I missed the DO fax message because I'm filtering out bluetext (OOC) for the time being focused on something else in game. A sound that indicates a fax was received by central would help out alot; Probably with a verb include to let people mute/unmute that alert sound in particular for those that of us that don't want to hear it.
