It might just be that my expectations of this server are too high at this point, but it's because I come to this server to RP. I'm on a heavy RP server for what's advertised on the tin. When a manifested ghost cultist runs into R&D and immediately cuts off the head of myself and everyone around me without a single word, and without my even knowing there were cultists/a threat on board (And this has happened before, and was a situation I sent an ahelp about), that's something I'd expect on a server like Paradise.

The main thing that makes them OP to me: The only way to stop an IPC at range is to use lethals. Non lethals, only a stun baton or pushing works, and that relies on you being able to click properly and not get robusted by said IPC (Which I fail at 99% of the time)

Byond key: SierraKomodo Character names: Azaela Nejem, Miraj Zi'Ad, Katana Silvers, Rasine Ha'kim, Kylan Hadyara, Johnathan Rase, Sarah Wolfe, Jack Wolfe, Sean Zelios, Sairis Helosi, Zakiya Ahmad, Ziva Mo'Taki, Tali Mi'hil, Kunai What times are you available? In GMT: Varying. My work doesn't have a set schedule. Why do you want to be a Duty Officer? I'd like to get back into helping get through these incident reports, handling in game faxxes, and doing a few things here and there to help spice up rounds every now and then like I had before as a duty officer. (Remember that revolution round I took over for?) How well can you handle stress? I'm honestly not sure if this is the best way to handle things, but I tend to take a break for awhile if things get really bad - On aurora, that usually involves going SSD for about half an hour, or skipping a round that I otherwise would have joined in on. There are times where I'll throw a message out there I shouldn't have sent before leaving, acting without thinking. What does it mean to be a Duty Officer? It's a position of responsibility and some power, and means that we're the ones that ICly handle IC issues, particularly those from repeat offenders that are reported in the incident reports threads. The point of this being not to flex our power or focus on punishments, but to provide IC incentive and consequences for character's actions. Also, to fuck bitches and talk about Tajaran penises in dosay. Anything else to add? I was a duty officer before, and resigned due to taking an extended break from SS13 and the server.

This can be closed; One less thing for the coders to worry about, that wouldn't be put to use at this point if it was finished.

What about IPCs/Synthetics that are younger than 17? Also, already submitted Ziva's with a blank educational field :< EDIT: Ignore the age part, I didnt bother reading the label fully xD

Do people who were born and raised in Tau Ceti know Sol Common? How likely is it that they do? I'm asking because one of my characters, Ariana Eshlian, was born and raised in Tau Ceti, to parents who were born and raised in Tau Ceti (You can see where I'm going with that). I've been playing her as not understanding Sol Common, but I want to know if that's actually a canonical thing in lore or not so I can stop worrying about 'Ok does this actually make sense in the lore, or have I made Ariana an uncultured swine'. It does make the most sense to me that, if there's a separate language in Tau Ceti, that's the most widely known language by humans in the area, and humans may therefore not know Sol Common (After all, if the general populace knows Sol Common, whats the point of Tau Ceti Basic even existing?)

Also there's nothing under education for Ziva's apprenticeship (She didn't go to a school, she had an apprenticeship for her work) x3 Expect alot of these from me, I get a bit specific with my characters

Ethnicity section doesn't account for the fact Ziva is 50/50 Hharaar and Zhan

TIL excel is the most useless piece of crap I've ever had to work with when it comes to generating charts/diagrams. You'll just have to settle for text and numbers, no fancy pictures for you

For synthetics, added another choice under races, updated ethnicities for IPC/Synth, and added an instruction under departments. Also added the skrell ethnic groups EDIT: So, as it turns out, updating the form does NOT update any of the already submitted entries, meaning people that selected a value with the old names for certain options, which just broke the summary for IPC/Synthetics in various categories. So, I'm going to pull the current data, fix those entries, and create my own summary results.

The census form: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1Qm-8UegN9i-CidZ2X9gqJnMLwNNfAXP8DLiKN-Ko38c/viewform Summary of results: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1Qm-8UegN9i-CidZ2X9gqJnMLwNNfAXP8DLiKN-Ko38c/viewanalytics Put this together to get an idea of how many characters we have, and what percentage of characters are what species, 'ethnicity', department, job, etc. To clarify, one form per character NOTE: I need to get ahold of Imatool to get a list of skrell ethnicities, since the wiki lacks any information on that.

A clear definition of when it's EOR and when EOR rules apply
SierraKomodo posted a question in Questions
There's been mixxed signals about when it's still ok to do antag actions in departures, and when it's okay to discuss the round in OOC when the shuttle is called. Currently, I've been getting mixxed signals on when discussing the round is OK. A few people think it's fine when the shuttle docks, I've had staff tell me the shuttle has to leave the Aurora, and others tell me the shuttle has to arrive on the Odin first. As for antag actions, I have no idea. It seems sometimes it's not allowed when the shuttle docks, sometimes it's only not allowed in departures, sometimes it can happen up until the shuttle docks, and then only banned in the shuttle and departures and fine anywhere else. What's the exact stance on these? -
Going to pop in here to mention that I also haven't seen any actual harassment regarding sexuality in OOC. I've got two characters that aren't straight (One's male, and 99% of the crew probably don't even realise he's borderline seeing another male), and never had any problems. Sue joked about Rasine every now and then, sure, but I've never encountered any issues or had a problem with it.
