Against this. IAC can still be called if people fax for it, if the pr is merged. Also, just adding IAC to all away teams we have will likely muddle their themes.

I am for disabling rats as a ghost role. It was never worth the trouble, and it adds nothing but a way for people to annoy each other under the guise of them being a pest. Like assaulting the kitchen and chewing boxes.

I will handle this.

No, because it is a limitation related to byond itself.

Solars already exist in the telecomms area. Also, removing the roof level was a far better choice due to all open spaces there.

The only augment without an use, and the one needed to be an aut'kah in lore, only uses one point. All other have a mechanical use, they inject the user with beneficial chemicals when used.

The suggested laws were not using the third person, they were speaking to the player, not the character.

I removed around one hundred or so books from the library today, feel free to send me more stuff that you think that should be also axed.

I recommend that people foward those list and books to staff, so we can just deal with them. Ahelping during the round also works.

Corruption Scheme Within Mendell City Police Department Uncovered! Following the crisis in District Six, the Mendell City Police Internal Affairs Bureau launched an investigation into the events that triggered the riots. Agents discovered that the President Hadii Living Complex raid was never part of any official operations in the region. The individuals involved in that incident were found to be part of an underlying corruption scheme that included several members of the police department. These officers, who worked in Little Adhomai, were being paid by local gangs to overlook their illegal affairs. This situation has been happening for the past five years. The supposedly raid turned out to be a meeting between officers and the leadership of a criminal organization, likely to receive bribes or renegotiate their deals. The situation turned sour when the criminals accused the agents of collaborating with an enemy gang. During the shootout, the policemen mistakenly made use of their official channel to request rescue. Eight officers have been arrested and charged with corruption. Several others are currently under investigation. Mayor Gleb Plyushkin has called the incident lamentable, suggesting that the situation in Little Adhomai should be approached through other angles. Agents from other parts of the city have been reassigned to District Six while the investigation is underway.

I will close this topic, because this just turned into people posting experiences, some which are not even true, or out of context screenshoots which just derails the entire discussion (something done by author themeselves, as ironic it might be) by causing people to explain stuff or focus on that event in particular. Any misbehavior should be reported on complaints. Any suggestion in regards to how stuff can be done better should posted in the policy suggestion subforum without the peanut gallery or cherry picking.

Official System for Reporting Staff Confidentially
Alberyk replied to a topic in Accepted/Implemented Policy
I don't know if I want this, because this is like going against our supposed lack transparency. Pming people to look into issues turned to be an awful and confusing deal that I think we should avoid. There is already the forum rules and the like to handle people trying to dogpile on someone's complaint already. Also, people can't see the resolution would not really be helpful or very transparent, and staff would know who is making the complaint based on whatever happened and what they are told after. -
Kinda wrong here, chief. no one called you an idiot, no one pinged you multiple times, and the person that pinged you was not a dev, and they just "attacked" your suggestion. If anyone see staff being rude, feel free to make a complaint. Trying to post stuff here won't do much.

We already had a player complaint about this. The only times I had any kind of militia was when the situation was dire, when security was already down. There was no bad behavior atll my. This complaint is not about my behavior as a command player. Having that many notes is not common at all, even among people that have been playing for years. In the last encounter with the cultists, where the dionae was surrended by three or so people attacking it, you even drew your gun but could not reach it due to officers being on the way. From what I saw, you did all you could to also fight the cult alongside security as the captain. You were going after the calls yourself.

I will agree that lord fowl should have been removed from his position due to his awful behavior, and I would have done so if such happened while I was headmin. On slurs: I have banned a couple of people already for using them, I think you are just taking stuff out of context, and a lot of those screenshoots are also old and out of place. And even in matt's case, he did suffer a strike over being rude in his complaint. I can't say anything about those supossed staff problems if people do not make complaints over them.

Whataboutism still. We already had a player complaint about this. The only times I had any kind of militia was when the situation was dire, when security was already down. You have around three permas, several warnings and notes, a total of around 70-80. That is a lot, you should have been banned a long time ago, but you were not, likely due to the extreme leniency of whoever handled tickets about you. I can may forgive the fight at the chapel. But at the brig, both times, you went out of your way, being followed by Columbus, to answer security calls. At this point, those were singular cultists that were up against three or so security officers. At no point the situation was dire at all. You even tried to attack one of the cultists, that was already being gunned down, with the hos' dog. You were not going to rescue officers or anything at those case, you were going there with them to fight the cult as the captain.

President Hadii Announces the Conclusion of the Rehabilitation Program 19.05.2462 After a long meeting with the People’s Congress, President Hadii, has announced the conclusion of the Rehabilitation Program. Established in 2458, the Rehabilitation Program sought to correct the trend of humanization and other subversive tendencies within the population through labor camps and psychological care. After four successful years, and with the ratification of the Tajara Rights Act of 2459, the policy was deemed as non-necessary. The Ministry of Health cited the success of the program and the end of the war as the main reasons for this decision. Remaining inmates will be transferred to mental institutions, where they may finish their treatment properly. President Hadii has released the following announcement in regards to this resolution: The remaining centers will be dismantled in the incoming weeks. Tajara undergoing the last stage of their rehabilitation outside of S'rand'marr are allowed to retain their work contracts. Solarian and Tau Ceti representatives praised President Hadii for his wise decision.

Parliament Meeting is Interrupted by Protest 16.05.2462 Today a typical meeting between the Parliament and the King was interrupted by an unexpected demonstration. As King Azunja and the parliamentarians finished discussing future economical and political embargos against the Izweski Hegemony, a crowd of at least forty Tajara interrupted the assembly. The group, formed by Kaltir citizens, sailors and members of the Commoners Party, started to shout and protest. They demanded more popular representation and the creation of electable positions in the Parliament. The parliamentarians on site replied by yelling and ordering their removal. The guards were unable to move the protesters. King Azunja tried in vain to reconcile both sides. Kaltir’s constables arrived at the Parliament twenty minutes later. The crowd was successfully dispersed by law enforcement, however, no arrests were made. The Commoners Party contacted the Crown after the incident, presenting their demands. They asked for the establishment of an elected house in the Parliament’s ranks, so the voice of the people may be heard. ”It is necessary to recognize the importance of the people. The Kingdom would not survive without their support” - they claimed in a strongly worded letter. Members of the Commoners Party have threatened the organization of more protests if their requests are not met in due time. King Azunja retired to the Imperial Palace without offering any statement on the situation.

As people pointed out, you still need to work a lot on this application. The backstory and the answers are really barebones and barely display lore knowledge and how to use it to create a character. You should edit the main topic. I will give you some days to fix it.

From what I read in the application, I get that you did read the lore and used it to create a character with its own origins and motivations. But, I have some stuff to point out and I would like you to update the backstory with the stuff pointed out by other people and myself. There is a division between urban and rural workers in the People's Republic of Adhomai like deadlantern pointed out. With the farms and villagels being organized into collective farms to deal with their productions and decisions. Aarif leaving, or wanting, to leave their home to work with something else and getting in conflict with his parents is totally fine. But, a nomadic lifestyle would be frowned upon, due to the PRA's troubled history with this kind of population. So, a rural background here is probably the best. I am a bit confused with the part that he leaves to Tau Ceti. While getting a contract with NanoTrasen is fine and possible, what exactly is the outbreak of another war here? Did this happen during the civil war or after the civil war ended? Can you explain a bit more on the motivations and situation that involved him leaving to Tau Ceti? Also, the plural of Tajara is just Tajara. Tajaran is the adjective. And feel free to contact me with any questions, I am glad to help you with it. -

The application display a good knowledge on the lore and how it can be used to create a character, tying the concepts and events that exists on the Tajaran lore to justify the character motivations and how they got on station. Application accepted.
