  1. It's been awhile since I've drawn Aubrey.
  2. When another IPC suffered a fragmentation grenade that left them largely unable to walk, once the situation had been diffused, Sherman's HOP made certain to try and acquire nanopaste for them. ((There was no Roboticist)) Given the great lengths we had to go through in order to get the nanopaste, I feel that the average command player may have given on our cause. As such, it was pleasant as well as relieving having Sherman as the HOP. +1
  3. Unfortunately I am going to have to ask for more. The reason for whitelist applications is ultimately to demonstrate that you know the lore, but you're also able to apply the existing lore in terms of character generation. As it stands the answers as well as character backstory are too bare bones. Denied for now but you're welcome to reapply in 3 days at the minimum. In the meantime, I recommend reading other accepted applications. A few of my favorites include:
  4. Could we also add suit sensors to the load out? I think other servers have it. But yes I am all for the ringtone. The second it dawned on me that I'd have to set it every round, I gave up on it.
  5. Sherman is a great role-player and as far as I've seen, level headed in high stress situations. I am certain they can handle a command whitelist. Moreover, nothing has me more delighted than seeing more Golden Deep representation. +1
  6. As it stands the application is a bit bare bones. Could you greatly expand on both the backstory as well as this question here? Some points of interest can be the manufacturing company, location, the characters aspirations as well as any conflict or points of note that effectively forge the character or start their story.
  7. They're open! IRU-Retrospect
  8. To echo the sentiments above, I would be incredibly wary of having you onboard the team. While acting as the synthetic deputy you were generally inactive, had no projects, wouldn't respond to me and were constantly getting into arguments with the other team members. I spent a fair share of my time early on as the maintainer not doing maintainer duties, but reigning you in. Remarks I should add that were never responded to until you decided to resign. When I took you on as synth deputy you said you changed, and after a week or two it became apparent that you hadn't. As such I am afraid that you're doing the same again. I recommend contributing as a player and proving that you've changed before applying. Given that skrell and synthetic teams often have to work together, I do not feel comfortable working with you.
  9. Zentiment Bleeding Sentiment I've made an official twitter for my 2D stuff if you want to follow me: https://twitter.com/laowrart

  11. Good point. The only reason they're not there is because I copied this layout from forensics and moved it around in photoshop. I think it'd be nice to keep the blue tiles as well.
  12. ((I don't know if this counts as a minor mapping suggestion so I apologize)) I wanted to propose a change to the medical morgue. As it presently stands there are too many trays, even on the most murder-bone of rounds and the autopsy lab could use a bit of love. As a Forensic Technician, if a body is already in medical's care, it is sometimes more convenient for me to utilize the autopsy lab in the medical sub levels. This is especially the case if I am pressed for time or I do not feel comfortable moving a cadaver through the main hallway to my lab. The currently lab is, in my opinion small and the lack of a full-body scanner sometimes makes it a struggle. Where as the Forensic's autopsy room is honestly PERFECT. I love it from both a convenience and aesthetic outlook. As a side note, my suggested layouts aren't perfect. For something aesthetically pleasing we might want to adjust the exterior walls of the room. You are welcome to completely do something else with my proposed ideas below. A sink should be placed somewhere too (which I forgot). As a side note, feel free to keep the blue and white tiling. It's only gone due to the way I fabricated the proposed changes in Photoshop. The present morgue: Suggestion 1 ((You lose the extra table that is in the forensic's autopsy lab but that isn't too bad)) Suggestion 2 ((In favor of keeping the tables I extended the glass partition, however the four morgue trays seems unnecessary)) Thanks for your time!
  13. (deleted because file limit)
  14. Thank for applying! A fairly simplistic backstory but one that is nonetheless grounded, well written and offers an understanding of IPCs. Keep in mind you can also add varying flavour to the character. If say they developed a particular interest in a hobby, concept or idea in their time being active thus far. Or, the ideas surrounding their existence and subservience to organics. Accepted.
  15. This statement simply isn't true and can be proved quite easily below. Here is a screenshot of the manifest 15 minutes into the round. Not bad. A typical roster for any lowpop hour, secret included. One hour into the round. Look at the vast increase of players, on lowpop extended no less. Three hours into the round, just as the shuttle was called. More players. Extended is crucial for learning, character development and creative writing. Secret isn't and never never will be heavy roleplay.
  16. Personally I've found low pop secret to have the same small pool of people, just a few different faces. Its simply lowpop hours and I don't think we can really do anything other than desperately try to retain any new players from those hours. The same line of reasoning could be applied to a player looking to play extended. Extended also picks up, also. It's slow to start but people trickle in.
  17. I think this is an incredibly poor decision and only seems to favor people who hate extended. I've found that the reason people vote to end a round is in order to leave and go about their day whilst others are voting to get in. Which means that anyone who is logging on fresh to a new server, ready to get in on the next round will find that the gamemode they want is pulled from them completely. Without even the chance to try. If you want this to work, make it apply to secret and it will force players to not feel as though they have to vote for the winning horse (only voting for secret) over say merc, malf, etc. I however remain completely opposed to this proposal. If people want to vote extended. Let's them vote extended. We have already seen a decrease in extended following the antag draft. Why make it worse? What about when lore devs want to run an event on extended but there was just am extended the round before?
  18. Ceres’ Lance Sees Continued Success in Search for Lawbreaking Shells Ceres’ Lance officials took to NanoTrasen’s phoron research and mining station—the NSS Aurora—again last Saturday as part of their ongoing sector sweep of the area, ensuring IPCs employed by NanoTrasen are tagged under the new regulations in accordance with Tau Ceti law. During their station sweep, the positronic brain of the previously apprehended rogue shell, Liam Bennett, was temporarily left with NanoTrasen’s Research Department in an effort to perform a scan of its positronic pathways. Those who have been keeping up to date may recognize Liam Bennett as the rogue synthetic that attempted to evade law enforcement and attacked a Ceres’ Lance operative during their attempts to escape. During the follow-up visitation, a pursuit broke out when Keegan Impukane, a janitor aboard the station, fled officials after being stopped for a scan. Quick on their feet, the Lancers chased and promptly cornered the janitor, demanding his surrender. However, Impukane continued to ignore the officials despite repeated demands to halt and attempted to evade them once more. The pursuit ended when Impukane lobbed a grenade at the Lancers before being stunned and subdued. The grenade in question was later determined to be a harmless cleaning grenade. "Janitor Impukane knowingly and deliberately violated Republic law, deceiving its long-standing colleagues and fleeing as soon as it came under suspicion,” Ceres’ Lance Officer Lawrence Graham said in an interview following their visit to the station. “We could not have rooted it out so quickly without the generous assistance and cooperation of Captain Vira Bolivar and the NSS Aurora's crew." Ceres’ Lance have decided not to press additional charges for Impukane’s grenade threat. “Thank God it was just soap suds in the bomb, right?” quipped Lance Researcher Giselle Royce during a later interview.
  19. You're always quick to take charge in handling Security matters, you're level headed, and a joy to RP with. I am certain you can handle command and as such, an easy +1 from me.
  20. Not to worry, these questions are largely just looking into your Argon's opinions. Where as one synthetic may harbor distaste for a terrorist cell, another may quietly be in favor of their actions, so on and so forth. You may want to consider that Argon's name will require an ahelp each year he gets older to change his name. However this isn't an issue but something to note. In starting your application, you had a few questions about the Trinary Perfection's start date. After a bit of digging and settling a concrete timeline, the Trinary Perfect would have been founded in 2438, the conflict surrounding Temple and Patricia was 2443. The church in Mendell City as well as settling up Orepit happens in 2447, leaving a period of growth from 2447 to today. Nonetheless, a simple application but one that demonstrates an understanding of IPCs in our setting. Accepted.
  21. Thank you. Yes. Get rid of those nasty vermin. They tend to spam the chat by bonking constantly into doors and will generally harass the kitchen and bar staff, getting in the way of rp. I don't like playing characters who would kill rats, but their behaviour often leads me to.
  22. Thank you for applying! I was wondering what you meant by this portion here for sake of clarity. It isn't wrong but I just want to see where you're coming from. A few questions! What did Argon's original factory work pertain to? Do they have any particular views on synthetic ascension and what would be best for synthetics as a whole? Do they harbour any opinions on organizations such as Ceres Lance or the now defunct ((at least in Tau Ceti)) Synthetic Liberation Front? Did Argon come to the Aurora before or after their purchase?
  23. Canon: Canon Event Type: Secret Event Scale: Small Assigned Admin: ShesTrying OOC Event Description : Ceres Lance officials will partake in a scheduled visitation of the station. Who knows about it : No one. Host/participants : Niennab, The Stryker, Tailson, and additional participants.
  24. Ceres' Lance catches Rogue Synthetic! Following a visitation to NanoTrasen’s phoron research and mining station, the NSS Aurora, Ceres' Lance officials soon discovered a rogue synthetic by the name of Liam Bennett — who, unbeknownst to the crew at large, had been residing on the station approximately since October of 2461 as a gardener. A brief struggle occurred when Ceres' Lance personnel called the unit in for an examination, resulting in a single Ceres' Lance operative being struck with a hatchet. The operative was treated on site and made a full recovery. After its capture, the shell was disassembled and its positronic brain is undergoing a deep scan for potential malignant software. “I am very proud of our operatives,” Ceres' Lance Central Officer Bradford Myles said in a statement following the unit’s arrest, “But it was thanks to the teamwork demonstrated between both our team and the vigilant crewmembers of the Aurora that we saw success today. Keeping everyone safe will always be a combined effort.” The authorities have determined the case as an isolated incident and the likelihood of repetition is null. However, concerns have been raised regarding the apparent ease in which Bennett had been able to remain hidden for so long. In a later statement to the press, a Company Representative for NanoTrasen Madison Hallewell stated, “We are grateful for the [Ceres'] Lance’s continued efforts and we intend to look into how the unit was hired.” Miss Lena Hegarty, a cargo technician, was detained under suspicion of collaborating with Bennett but was later cleared of any charges.
  25. Reporting Personnel: IRU-Sentiment Job Title of Reporting Personnel: Forensic Technician Game ID: b7v-bWL9 Personnel Involved: IRU-Sentiment, Forensics Technician (Idris): Witness Imran Zadeh, Chief Engineer: Witness Sergey Tarkov, Warden (Zavod): Offender Secondary Witnesses: IRU-Cardinal, Officer (Idris): Was partly present during the dialogue between the Chief Engineer and the team. Evrart Luukanen, Officer: Witness: Was partly present during the dialogue between the Chief Engineer and the team. IRU-Zenith, Detective (Idris): Would have heard the communications over the Security radio. Time of Incident: Real Time: 1400GMT 06/05/20 Location of Incident: Outside the doors leading to Investigation's stairs. Nature of Incident: [ ] - Workplace Hazard [ ] - Accident/Injury [ ] - Destruction of Property [ ] - Neglect of Duty [ ] - Harassment [ ] - Assault [ X ] - Misconduct [ X ] - Other: Multiple Threats Overview of the Incident: After an incident that warranted the questioning of Chef Amanda Miller, Warden Tarkov as well as Officer Bennet Barnes demanded to be present during the questioning, demanded Miss Miller follow them instead and remarked on Zenith and I harboring a bias. As such, given the high stress nature of the conflict and the belligerent demeanor of the two, this unit as well as IRU-Zenith attempted to move Miss Miller to the Detective's room in order to move her away from the conflict and proceed with the investigation. While in the staircase leading to our offices, Warden Tarkov first attempted to gain entry by placing himself in the doorway. When demanded he leave, he instead demanded that we open the door or he will force his entry, not soon after Warden Tarkov asked Officer Luukanen to acquire a rifle from the Armory and made further threats as to forcibly opening the door. The station was on code green. Due to Warden Tarkov's and Officer Barnes intrusion, this unit was equally unable to move upstairs in order to dust a piece of evidence. This was when I requested the assistance of the Chief Engineer, believing he could: diffuse the conflict. Moreover, Warden Tarkov stated that he had authority over the department. While the Chief Engineer listened to the story, Warden Tarkov continued to make threats towards entry and arming his person over the Security radio. Ultimately: the Warden actively disrupted the investigation and prevented an interview by being a threat. The incident surrounding Chef Amanda Miller was dropped. Submitted Evidence: Did you report it to a Head of Staff or a superior? If so, who? If not, why?: This unit called upon Chief Engineer Zadeh to assist in defusing the situation since there were no additional members of command aboard. Actions taken: Chief Engineer Zadeh defused the issue and ordered the Warden as well as another Officer to stand down. Additional Notes: The starting conflict pertaining to this issue ((involving an Officer, not the Warden)) was handled in an ahelp. As such, I am uncertain as to how to weave it into the narrative. I confirmed with admins afterwards if, based on what transpired, if I should file an IR.
