It is not humanly possible to possess the dexterity and reflexes required to block multiple projectiles at once. Or probably even one by itself. Your traitor is not that much of a snowflake. If they are, burn it with fire.

I don't see an issue with lowering the TC cost; its only fair.

Please explain to me how your typical traitor then has the reflexes of a Jedi Master to block multiple projectiles moving incredibly fast. How about this; a novel, revolutionary concept, I know - don't put yourself in a situation where you need to count on stupid game mechanics to survive. Run. Don't stand and fight against overwhelming force. When it gets to the point a heavily outnumbered traitor can block the taser bolts of 3 officers firing consecutively on him and not even get hit once we have a problem. The traitor isn't roleplaying, he doesn't have to be afraid, or scared, or even the slightest bit concern.

4 telecrystals, 60 damage, concealable, 2 shot kill. 10 telecrystals typical, 14 maximum. 2/5 (not really expensive), 2/7 (even less expensive). ok. Yes it does. It blocks any projectile. Any. Bullet, laser, dart, electrode. Any projectile. With an 80% parry chance. Neither does literally any other weapon in the game. If you manage to drop the ball enough that you can't kill a sec officer with a melee revolver and he gets his baton out before dying nothing would have saved you then.

New year. New triangles. Tell me who belongs on the Wall of LOVE.

Hi. /obj/item/weapon/melee/energy/sword/IsShield() if(active) return 1 return 0 This is the piece of code that dictates whether or not something can block projectiles. The e-sword has the same block-rate as a riot shield and e-shield, which are significantly larger and easier to use. I don't think I need to even explain the amount of dexterity, concentration, and force it would take to block a bullet with a sword. Hell, even the Jedi couldn't block every blaster bolt. But you're not a Jedi. You're a fat lizard on a space station with a laser sword. You have no reflexes. Unless you're superhuman there should be no way for you to lead a projectile traveling 900 miles an hour and block it expertly.

PRAMV Retaliation Preparing for Launch 7.17.2457 Dana Heraldson - After nearly a decade of sharing aerospace research, the conjoined scientific might of the Sol Alliance and the People's Republic of Adhomai have finally finished the construction of the first Tajaran-built spacefaring vessel. Prior to human intervention, the Tajaran had not even explored the nearby moon of Raskara. It made galactic headlines when not more than five years ago, freshly-trained Tajaran astronauts landed on the moon's surface and planted the flag of the Republic. Now, the astounding capabilities of human researchers and Tajaran engineers is preparing for it's first test flight next week. Using plans drafted in unison, construction on the vessel started several months ago, sources close to the Tajaran government state. Now, with the ship completed, the tight-lipped officials in power have announced their intentions to launch the PRAMV Retaliation and use it to put down the broiling conflict still waging across the surface of their homeworld. This news came after the extended political silence of the president and his cabinet; in his public delivery speech to an assembled audience of human and Tajaran representatives, the president cited national security as the reasoning for releasing little public information about the development of the space program and in the televised broadcast urged his fellow countrymen to lay down their arms to prevent the deployment of the fully-functional battleship. "With the knowledge gifted to us by our benefactors," he said, "[we] hold in our hands the ability to finally join the other species in the galactic community on the proverbial interstellar highway. The sole goal that our species has had for centuries is now a very real achievement. Young Tajaran who could only watch as Alliance shuttles flitted to and fro could now in the very soon future pilot their own - made not by human hands, but by their kin." "For the first time in Tajaran history, we freed ourselves from endless oppression in tyranny. That was more than twenty years ago. Now, we are on the precipice of another revolution; one that will finally free us of the chains of our planet and allow us to rightly explore and colonize our home system. To join our human, Skrellian, and Diona brethren amongst the stars. No longer will we stand aside with our eyes downcast. Now, we may stand proud, our gaze fixed heavensward." Military specifications on the PRAMV Retaliation are very limited, in an effort to prevent any harm befalling it by terrorist forces. A public televised broadcast of the launch will take place next week Friday, and several prominent figures will be in attendance, including members of the Alliance senate and the People's president, The Most Honourable N'jir Hadii himself. Also slated for appearance is intergalactic music star Yasmin Piaf, popularized by her native Tajaran fanbase for her records, as well as renowned scholar Malik Mansoor, known for his works recording ancient Tajaran history. So your solution is to go from a highly visible weapon to a weapon that can never be detected ever because no one would have any reason not to believe it wasn't a toy without randomly stabbing things. So basically utterly immune to any detection or counterplay like the parapen. Literally no way to legitly determine that this may not be what it appears t obe.

toy sword: e-sword: "metagaming" ok. Use the cane sword.

As Tajaran loremaster and whose purrview this falls under; No. Dismissed.

MagmaRam's Head of Staff Whitelist App

Can vouch for MagmaRam. Used to play with him on Baystation, where he was a mod and then an admin. His characters were cool and played well. Even the space lesbian. -
Cortical borers in xenobio when. Far better than golems.

Staff Complaint: TishinaStalker

There is no reason for there ever to be a discussion involving the intricacies of alien genitalia and until further notice all Tajaran have poison-spitting scorpions on their pants. There is literally no reason to talk about alien genitals. There is no reason to need to know about alien genitals. Use your imagination, and do it in private. -
They also have the reflexes of a dead cat. The dude would be around the corner by the time it manages to even swing the gun.

I remember when Chaznoodles said he was leaving and actually left. The good old days.

Bay is just buttmad that I was their Cassie and they failed to salvage the pieces of their shitty server. Is okay. Now I am the Self-Insert Evil Antichrist of Aurora, subtext: It's All My Fault. Zuhayr is also prone to massive mood swings, and he likes shit-talking people behind their backs so I ain't surprised. Alsoalso you thought blacking people's names out of a server I used to be highly active on would protect them? NOT FROM THE ANTICHRIST. Also inb4 rebuttal: but u let sue do what ur criticizing cassie 4 doin' omg the hyperpopcornrisy

Bye. The Messiah has left so I, as the Antichrist, can continue our time honored tradition of robusting all the antags and making pubbies cry tears to swallow, punch kittens, be a snowflake and be mean to people IC so they get upset and offended OOC to cry about it. TRAPPED FOREVER HERE IN SNOWFLAKE HELL. Seriously, though. Lesbians in medbay? Is that the best you can do? It's painfully obvious none of you have even been paying attention to the state of Aurora for the past few weeks; I guess you're all too busy being hypocrites criticizing cliques in your clique chat or whatever it is you do. The groups of evil new-player hating characters and medbay lesbians area about as prevalent as any regulars - that is to say not at all. Hypatia 2.0? Try Baystation 2.0. It's the opposite. A bunch of faceless new characters ranging from racist black characters smoking pot and stealing peoples shoes to Skrell who play their lisp so bad they sound like the entire personage of a San Francisco gay bar. Aurora's problems are no longer cliques, or medbay lesbians. It's an infection of ridiculous medium-light RP and joke characters. You guys missed that train, I guess. So I mean, thanks for trying to be our savior or whatever? Kinda late now. Problems have changed. Maybe if you had paid attention you'd have noticed.

I am sheeple and used Sierra's dumb thing. Behold. NAME: Ana Justine Roh'hi'tin DATE OF BIRTH: Dec 26, 2422 AGE: 34 SPECIES: Tajaran SEX: Female CITIZENSHIP: People's Republic of Adhomai CLEARANCE LEVEL: Staff (Security, Medical) EMPLOYED AS: Security Officer L2, Forensics Specialist PHOTO: HEIGHT: 157 cm (5'2") WEIGHT: 79.38 kg (175 lb) FUR COLOR: Blue HAIR: Blue EYES: Green SECURITY NOTES: Ana J. Issek is a veteran officer with almost a decade of service under her belt. After completing a four-year course in a NanoTrasen-funded college and other classes in preparatory school, she was awarded a general certificate that validated her abilities as a scientist and forensic investigator. Her career is a tumultuous one; Issek has shown unpredictable loyalty towards the company. Her arrest record is stellar, but not unblemished. She has performed unauthorized arrests of some NanoTrasen officials as well as other people of debatable import. Losing them is troublesome, but not worth the expenses clearing them all. Due the nature of her actions and her strong convictions, Issek has been assigned to the Aurora and is under watch. Though she is capable and does well to protect corporate interests we are unable to determine at this time whether or not she is leaking information to third parties. We suspect her in a few cases but are unable to confirm. On September 8, 2454, Director of Operations for our Tau Ceti branch of biomedical facilities was arrested by Sol Union law enforcers on charges of premeditated murder and conspiracy to commit fraud. Details of the event under investigation can be found under [DATA EXPUNGED]. Considerable expenses resulted in the eventual release of the Director and we were able to determine that the data procured proving guilt was stolen from one of our databanks within our installation on [REDACTED]. As Issek was serving as security detail that week, she was suspected - along with co-workers - of leaking sensitive evidence to the authorities. While we were able to secure the release of the Director, employees [REDACTED] and [REDACTED] were handed over to face charges in his stead. In total, at least three hundred and seventy-two thousand credits were spent in liaison with Sol Union officials. As of this time we are unable to prove Issek's involvement in this incident. On Februrary 7, 2455, the Captain aboard the NSS Exodus was arrested by Issek for a myriad of charges. At the time, we had delivered a valid directive privately to the Captain and he was instructed to follow it. When he attempted to enforce the directive (which contained instructions for [DATA EXPUNGED]), the crew was initially resistant and proceeded to rally against the directive. By shift end Issek and most of the security team had arrested and detained Head of Security [REDACTED] and Captain [REDACTED] for exceeding official powers, assault, abuse of prisoners, and conspiracy to commit murder. Upon docking with Central Command, Issek disobeyed standard protocol and delivered the suspects directly to Sol Union police via as of yet unknown means. For her actions she was placed on administrative leave but pending internal affairs investigation (where Sol Union proceeded to be annoyingly intrusive) was allowed back under probation and transferred to security detail aboard the NSS Aurora. MEDICAL NOTES: Physically speaking, Miss Issek is healthy. She maintains a stable workout regimen consisting of exercises designed to help her stamina and strength. She has provided me with a detailed log of her daily exercise routine as well as her eating habits. That aside, she's seen some fighting in her time. There are a few scars from old gunshot wounds and burns hidden beneath tufts of artificial fur. Clearly she has suffered multiple traumatic and potentially fatal injuries while in the line of duty. Examining her medical records from old installations, I can be sure she has been cloned at least a few times, and her abnormally large co-pay attests to that. However, that said, I can say with full confidence that Miss Issek will live a long and healthy life. Hopefully. We are unaware if she is at risk for any genetic diseases as medical records are difficult to acquire from Tajaran diplomats and she would rather not speak about her parents at all. UPDATE: 07/22/2456 / / After submitting a formal request for medical records to the Tajaran Embassy for Miss Issek and numerous other Tajaran employees, we were finally able to obtain her birth parent's 'paperwork' (if you could even call this paperwork) as well as comments from her physician during her early life. With this information obtained we suspect that Miss Issek might be at risk for a hereditary disease known as Tajaran Infectious Merionitis, and will be undergoing a preliminary physical within the coming months before we undergo blood analysis to test for the disease. Since her last examination, Miss Issek has not notified me of any further physical health issues. Mentally speaking, however, Miss Issek is of questionable health. While she is by no means unstable, she seems to suffer from mild to severe chronic depression. She is not an amiable person at all and has resisted both psychological and therapeutic treatments. One of the core facets of her personality is an unshakeable set of beliefs. From what I have been able to gleam from her, she remains employed by NanoTrasen simply so she can dispense justice as she sees fit, within the bounds of the law of course. While initially cold, Miss Issek seems to have a deep care for many of her co-workers. She has relayed to me on one of the rare occasions where she is talkative that the reason she has so many kills under her belt is to spare other team members the 'burden', as she put it, of carrying that loss of life with them. Undoubtedly cynical, it appears that she is only driven to do what she does for the sake of her lover, her friends, and her morality. I haven't been able to get her to open up to me since, but I firmly believe that her stern and judgmental attitude is only a cover for her inner self. EMPLOYMENT SECURITY MEDICAL

What the old Permabrig had that 'had things to interact with': Arcade machine. Plants. (that always died because you have no fertilizer or tools to take care of them with) Donk pockets. What the new Permabrig has that people can interact with: Arcade machine. Donk pockets. I literally fail to grasp what you're complaining about. Permawing bunks are not necessary. Use an empty cell.
