  1. i'd approve this, but we must wait three days for... stuff. So.
  2. The Tajara education system prior to human involvement was basically work education, teaching people how to get ready for servitude. Now it closely mirrors human schooling, with Pre-5, middle school, high school, and colleges. Also, the average livespan of a Tajaran is 65 years, and they are considered 'adults' at sixteen years old.
  3. So let me get this straight. You admit to only interacting with my character under very specific circumstances where there is actually little roleplay outside of slapping bandages on things, but then presume that you've interacted with my character enough to recognize this almighty 'bigger problem'. Right. Sure. Okay.
  4. Frances literally has never even gone on the teamspeak and isn't even slated to become the new headmin as far as I know. I'm not even going to bother. I'm so sick of picking apart the same arguments and hearing them twelve other times because apparently our community consists of illiterates. Skull has spoken. But I still guess that isn't enough to satisfy anyone so who wants to take the stick to beat the dead horse next? Oh gosh conspiracies, self insert, bias, being mean - there are lots of targets to hit on there folks.
  5. 'So many' is quite the long stretch. It's like 6 or 7 people. They've come out of the woodwork because they hold some kind of grudge for being arrested or something equally petty and this is an opportune time to start yelling to anyone who will listen and then pretend like there's a larger issue when there really isn't. A bunch of people screaming about something does not mean there actually is a problem. There are people who protest and yell about us eating animal meat. Is there a problem with humans eating animal meat? No rules have been broken.

    Taja Clothes

Tajaran clothes are not 'traditional' in the same sense that Unathi robes or mantles are. Unathi are primal lizardmen, and are more about tradition and honor. Tajara have a Decopunk society with a meld of vintage and space technology, which includes clothing. It doesn't really make sense to put Tajara clothes in the locker because they're just casual stuff you'd wear every day, compared to the more traditional Unathi virtues. Why would your workplace keep this, in a locker for you to wear...? It's not as culturally significant to Tajara as the stuff for Unathi is to them. Besides, male Tajara wear 3 piece suits. Just get a suit.
  7. So this is where it all turned tail to hide after the complaint was closed. Really don't know what you people want. I don't see anything wrong with anything I've done. I've explained the logic and reasoning of every single situation I've taken part in, and I might go ahead and agree that Ana toes the line IC. But that is my literal objective. Playing in the grey area, doing questionable things. Not super good, not super bad. I've said this probably about twenty times and either people choose to ignore it or aren't satisfied with it. And if you're not satisfied with that explanation, well... I dunno what to tell you. The people who hold authority evidently don't see much wrong with what I do because I haven't been boinked more than, I dunno, thrice in the past few months. I mean, you're free to chalk this up to 'admins love Sue' but using that argument is an egregious insult to the staff. The fact that Chaznoodles has been arguing against me this whole time is evidently not enough proof there isn't some crazy conspiracy here. I argue with Skull and Scopes all the time, I disagree with actions staff have taken. It's anything but a subservient relationship. But I already said this about twenty times as well so I'm probably just wasting energy repeating every single thing I've said every single time someone got upset for getting shot after revolvering people or something. I'm disinclined to believe there is a larger issue here. It's the same people every time - I didn't need a complaint to know who didn't like me and who I didn't like. It was fairly obvious Gollee, Chaz, and I were not going to get along for example, and it is not even the slightest bit surprising to find their involvement here. The same for Erik, and Rectum, considering his meltdown and furry accusations towards Aurora, as well as others. The amount of assumptions made here is staggering. Letting OOC rage filter in IC? There's no proof of that, and it certainly isn't the case, but my words fall on deaf ears because evidently people can't stand counterarguments and pick at me for calling someone an idiot. Okay I guess. I have no interest in continuing to beat a dead horse. I don't believe any argument posed against me so far has any credence, and the people who I am arguing with feel nothing I have said has any credence. That's a stalemate. But I don't really need to justify myself to a bunch of random people on the internet. I have explained my actions to staff who are seemingly satisfied, and I highly doubt that our staff team consists of people so ignorant and incompetent that they'd let the sort of embellished actions being flung around here continue. Nothing is stopping anyone from making a DO complaint. I don't buy any arguments of peer pressure. That's ridiculous. In short, I've explained myself. You aren't satisfied with the explanation. Okay. I have no obligation to make you satisfied with it, nor do I honestly really care if you are. I don't play this game for you, and I say that not in an offensive way. I've been through this whole song and dance already, and after realizing the futility of trying to make people understand I think at this point it's really just wiser to let everyone's misconceptions and gossip run wild while they talk about evil old Sue behind her back and embellish/assume they know why something happened. It's too exhausting to try to refute the same argument from 7 different people 21 times because they choose not to listen to continue arguing. And honestly, I stopped caring what people thought awhile ago. If the staff have issues, I invite them and have invited them before to discuss them with me. And they have before. And we talked. But people want blood and to tie me to a pyre, so. Not good enough. Oh well.
  8. It is literally 30 points of brute damage on an accidental double click when I intended to hit her once. Fifteen is a bruise, and that is what was intended. I have never, ever abused prisoners to the extent of beating them super badly. One or two harmbatons during an arrest, and that is all. I even make a point of arresting my fellow officers when they toe the line, but now I accidentally hit someone more than once since I started playing in 2014 and I've been doing it all the time and it's repeated patterns oh no. I know this is a heavy roleplay server but do you people seriously have to blow everything out of proportion so it can make it easier for you to seem right, or what. 'Murdering people, lethal force'. Please. I guess probably because she sees this thread as what it really is; everyone who ever got robusted or arrested and got mad about it coming out of the woodwork to whine and complain and embellish whatever they can to make it look like there is a problem larger than a cat who swears a lot.
  9. I don't think you'll get that, Frances, or if you will it will be logs taken out of context in an Ace Attorney sort of 'take that!' way. Chaz is incredibly biased, as am I against he. I severely dislike him, and the sentiment is equally returned, so it doesn't surprise me to see him immediately jump in on the side against me despite ample arguments over the points he's brought up previously either debunking or explaining them, as he seems wont to do in several threads. Or he ignores points entirely, which is why he says 'there is no justification' despite it being explained and stated earlier. I mean, he's complaining about getting added time for continuously harassing security like he was dealt some kind of mortal blow. You'd think the character would just stop pissing off security, but I guess I should have just let the harassment slide because that stuff is a-ok and not breaking corporate regs.
  10. I'm inclined to agree with Jamini. I remember being told that here there is no Vox Inviolate, so I'm not really sure what Vox should be doing, if our wiki page for them is even up to date, and so on.
  11. You should start writing fiction, Inverted. You're pretty good at making up stories. Though I guess not good at reading comprehension. 'Replies to a thread', not complaints themselves. Delta and I don't even get along half the time, but obviously there's some kind of conspiracy or something here right. It's all one big conspiracy.
  12. Sol Law is what we're looking for here.
  13. I did expect you to retaliate, that's not what I'm faulting. I think how you and Oliver responded is a-ok. But neither of you said really much of anything, either. I don't see an issue with that. We got into a fight, went back and forth, and it ended up with Oliver pinned. In my opinion, I don't really think you, or Nibbles did anything wrong, but I don't think I did either, outside of killing Oliver because I was totally unused to Vox weapons. I just want to state again it was my first time playing Vox. I'd never used any of their weapons before, and had no idea how potent they were. I wasn't outright trying to kill Oliver. I shot him a few times to pin him to the wall because he was a threat. Same thing with Katana. Me and the other Vox wanted her for scrap, and I thought IPCs were hardier and could take a few bolts. Lo and behond the space suit tears killed her. Oliver's body is covering said sprite and Katana's lower half, if you'll notice.
  14. Don't think we do fines here, but totally okay with this change.
  15. At no point did you ever drop the crossbow, and if you did I didn't see it. The only time I did see it on the ground was when you were dead and lying in space. The entire reason I was forced to keep shooting was because you still had the weapon in your hand and I saw it there. Nibbles posted an image on the first page. There we can see Katana pinned to the wall, and no crossbow anywhere on the ground. Therefore, the only place it could be is still in Katana's hands. Also, @ Jamini: two types of dart guns, one with sopo, cryptobiolin, and impedrezene. The other is the medical one. I had the sleepgun, and obviously it didn't work. And I never had any gun outside of a crossbow until after you stungloved me. That's when I dropped it and Katana stole it apparently. I cannot fathom why anyone is upset. I engaged engineering first with non-lethal weapons that didn't work. Okay. Engineering retaliates. This is also okay I guess though being ramboed with crowbars and stungloves even after shooting someone is apparently in line with the horror stories from Vox in other rounds. You chased after a heavily armed birdman with nothing but simple tools, ignoring the gigantic harpoon sticking out of your arm and that your suit was bleeding atmospherics into space. You literally were going to fight me to the death, why would I think anything other than force would work? It's easy to say that 'I didn't emote or speak' - I had hoped the sleepythings would knock you out so I /could/, but they didn't. And you can't do any of that in the middle of a fight. I was going to when I came back the second time, but Oliver immediately tried to start running towards me as I rounded the corner so I couldn't do anything. You'd jut stungloved the Vox, why would he let you guys get in close again? I was attacked immediately the second time - which I am okay with - but it's absurd to go 'y dint u rp' when you literally didn't give me a chance. I am not faulting you guys for attacking me, but you blocked me from emoting or speaking by immediately trying to jump me, so I'm not quite sure what you wanted me to do there. In essence: Oliver was shot for being a threat. Katana was shot for being a threat. And they both were. So... I dunno.
  16. I reiterate: simply because you are of the opinion that there is 'excessive force' does not mean there actually is any. I always have reason and justification for doing what I do, if it's not enough to satisfy you then oh well. A vast majority of players here seem to think using anything more than a flash at any time is shitcurity, and there's no amount of explaining that will make them realize shooting people is situationally okay. You are grossly embellishing what is actually going on. There are no 'rampages', and I guess everyone loves bringing up Brar because I managed to justify it and they're so upset that they didn't get to crucify me for it or something. There is no 'constant' excessive force, there rarely is ever any to begin with. And she isn't known for ignoring orders. You are just pulling all of this out of thin air to try and have an argument materialize when in reality there is none. It's always the same people whining about the same things that were already cleared up simply because they apparently can't stand the fact that other people thought it was justified.
  17. I am aware Ana is a character. Yes, sometimes I know her aggression is uncalled for - but that's her character. She has a short temper and a hair trigger and sometimes the hostility is not invited. But that is what I'm trying to accomplish. She is a bitter security veteran with very little love for the job or the crew and sometimes her anger gets the better of her and she goads conflict or creates it. But that's what I want to happen. My opinions about antagonists have nothing to do with Ana or this complaint as far as I'm concerned - I don't see why wanting the revolver nerfed (because it can one shot decap, how is that cool) or wanting more extended makes me Hitler or whatever. Ana is a hostile, bitter character to most characters she does not know. That is her personality. I'm not offended you don't like interacting with her, because honestly, if she doesn't like you why would someone purposely seek out contact with a hostile, unpleasant person? I don't think this is a bad thing. But I do not like the constant whining about 'b-b-but lethal force' or 'i was arrested ban she' that make up 100% of complaints against me. Yeah, she insulted her first. Yeah, she applied the law despite having started it. Was it not nice? Of course it wasn't. But Ana isn't nice. She's a hardass. And if other characters hate her for it, I am okay with that. That's relationship and development.
  18. Since Blue sec is literally these uniforms but blue, not right now. If the community doesn't like Blue sec, then most likely we will.
  19. I think you're using some armchair psychiatry to make up stuff where there is none - if you think I am going to sit here and type 'your character' for every instance of a second person pronoun you must be nuts. My main point is I don't think your criticism is valid either because you your characters have invited the exact same behavior you are trying to criticize by acting hostile first, or because of the hypocrisy I've already pointed out. If you want to think me pointing out the flaws in your argument is trying to shift the blame, that's your prerogative I guess. You're free to your opinion, but I'm equally free to defend myself, especially in a serious player complaint - if you thought I would lay down and take it, or not doing so is me overreacting, well, I dunno. You're wrong, I guess?
  20. Don't try to play this up as anything more than you choosing to be ignorant - this was way back when the bug existed if your detective alt title was FT, your in game title would be. It was an error. I even informed you of this OOCly and you chose to ignore it in favor of exacerbating IC conflict. Why you had even entered the detective's office to steal a revolver you had no business carrying to begin with ('just in case' is basically the same as the HoS walking into the armory to get a laser rifle 'just in case'; this seems to be a repeating issue with your characters making sure to have weapons on them at all times) is beyond me. You chose, and thereby acted through your character, to ignore what was basically a harmless bug and goad my character into hostile responses by inviting it with equally hostile responses. Pot calling the kettle black much. You mean like your convicted space pirate, wherein piracy is a crime that typically carries above a twenty year sentence? Yeah. Not irony at all. And I do believe the end result of that was no action taken due to it being considered justified. You're perfectly free to disagree with the actions I take, but your opinions on them don't become fact. I more than aptly explained my justification and my reasoning when people started whining about that; that's all I really can do. I don't think I did anything wrong and acted well within the bounds of believability and reason. The irony of you saying this more than anyone else leaves a bad taste in my mouth. You, the convicted space pirate who prints weapons every round and keeps improvised and real weapons on him at all times, then trying to justify it as not being metagaming because 'you do it every round' (hint: it's still metagaming) attempting to insinuate that my actions are ever done without a good reason leaves me unsure if you're being serious or if you're just oblivious to how outrageous it is. I just want to repeat that: You have a character who is a convicted felon who manufactures and carries weapons all the time in a non-combat, civilian position, and you're offended by one of my characters being mean. Intense and repetitive aggression? You play a perma antag space pirate who used to smuggle guns into cargo for fun. Seriously.
  21. Firstly: I adminhelped about what to do and decided to, then stop, after removing the air can from the air tank. Okay. I was put into a Vox after the round had started and a series of events meant that only me and a second Vox were all that was left out of the five. At the time I only knew of myself, and not the other. Not knowing what to do, I decided to cut off the air as a transfer was called, then sighed and went back to the Skipjack. Preparing to leave, I heard that Nasir was repairing my damage and, since I had a sleepygun, decided that taking the CE hostage at this time was a good opportunity and might help make up for a round of basically nothing due to multiple things. Then I learned Vox sleepyguns no longer work on people in hardsuits. Okay. I pissed off the CE and Stefan who proceed to chase me around for like three minutes trying to clobber/stunglove me. I get off my only crossbow bolt in this period of time, on Stefan. Sure. I try to lose them and flee, but get gloved. They almost manage to kill me after I was gloved by removing my tank and I escape. Not giving up trying to take the CE hostage, I go back to get a spike thrower. Since Oliver is injured I think maybe they'll cooperate - no. Despite Oliver having a bolt sticking out of his arm they both try to come at me again and I can't get in a word edgewise. Okay. I hit Oliver and pin him to the wall, then get Nasir hit and he flies off into space from the force. I don't know what made me finish off Oliver, it was a snap decision. Looking back, I don't think it was right. I wanted to pin him a few times to go back and get cable ties to take him, but I went overboard. Okay. Fast forward, I decide to go back to get Oliver to bring to Voxland. When I go to get him, I see another engineer with a crossbow in hand - if you did drop it, it was after I shot you, because I saw it in your hand - and panicked. I just got into a fight with two other engineers who fought basically to the death and, since you were an IPC, I figured you could take a few bolts to pin you while me and my other Vox went to get cuffs to cuff you and bring you in for salvage. I've seen IPCs take multiple bolts and live. What I didn't account for was space. The tears in the suit killed you. Basically, it was a series of unfortunate events, and I am sorry you both died. It was really my first time ever playing Vox, and I didn't know how potent the guns were or that non-lethal syringes didn't work on dudes in hardsuits, as when I was sec fighting Vox they actually /did/ work on me in a space suit. So I do apologize for killing you both. I just wanted to take some hostages or something, make up for a boring round. I severely underestimated the guns and pinning people.
  22. She had sunglasses on, so flash wouldn't work. And she was harmbatonned for IC reasons, so. I dunno what more I can clarify. For those who don't know, harmbatonning someone displays 3 messages but it only counts as one hit. So. 6 messages = 2 hits.
  23. I only hit you twice, actually. I intended to harmbaton you once, not twice, so breaking your ribs was entirely not what I wanted to do and I do apologize for that. The reason you were treated as such was because previously in the round, Ana was blown up nearly point blank by a bomb and almost died in space. Medical saved her, and she was promoted - unwillingly - to Head of Security. So she was upset, and already has no tolerance for people insulting her. You got charged with a crime and ran. I was promoted to HoS from detective and had no belt or weapons beside anything lethal, so I tried to just disarm you before you disarmed the officer - and as soon as his baton dropped, you made a move to pick it up. I was faster than you. In essence, you ran immediately when I expressed interest in arresting you, fought with security and tried to steal the weapon off of an officer, and you didn't expect to get clock with a baton? Hitting you twice was unintended, I will restate. The baton does 10 brute per swing and 20 is the threshhold for breaking bones. It was purely an accident that I hit you twice, a mistake on my part. And for that, I do apologize. However, given that you insulted the Head of Security, then fled a peaceable arrest, upgrading it to batons when you pushed and then tried to steal the weapon of an officer, I'm not inclined to apologize or feel sorry for attempting to arrest you.
