  1. That's what I'm saying about money yeah A gun at your back antag situation would be non canon, but how would that work with persistent money... While a robbery on extended would actually be canon, so there it would be okay for the money to be gone. Pausing persistent money for antag rounds would not really work out either however... since there are still plenty of interactions in the round that are still perfectly canon, assuming the antag is not involved. Buying food from the kitchen would still be canon. Being fined for littering would still be canon. Plus, an issue with pausing persistent money on antag rounds would mean it would hardly see use due to a majority of populated rounds on the server being antag one's.
  2. Persistent money/economy would need a LOT to think about how it would work, there are many issues there that would need to be solved, one being antags. Say an antag steals money from another crewmember, or a departmental account, that obviously isn't canon and shouldn't be Persistent. Security charges for antags are automatically deleted so something may be able to be done there, but a different issue is if the antag blackmails another crewmember (a non antag) to do it. This crewmember doesn't have any kind of automatic thing to delete antagonistic actions like an actual antag would, and in terms of a security charge, would need to manually delete it. How would something like this work for Persistent money...
  3. My thoughts here are On dirt: Blood should normally turn into generic filth, unless it is a canon round (maybe set via a special thing admins do?) Then the blood stays as blood. Certain areas are exempt from dirt persisting (maint, medical, crusher, xenobio) Trash/garbage items also persist alongside the dirt. Other ideas of persistent things I have are: Sticky notes. Write on them like paper, can stick onto walls. Graffiti you can carve into walls and floors with a sharp object. Can be cleared away with a welder.
  4. While I do not have issues with the name Huginn, and understand its ties as Odin's raven, I feel the rename isn't really worth it? Bubble as the name is more iconic and it feels a shame to move away from it after it has been in use for so long. Stuff that has been worked with that AI could still be pulled off with the name Bubble, outside of the raven things. Short suggestion, but, those are my thoughts on the matter.

  7. I think the main complaint people have had is the consular themselves losing the gun and it not being there unless a bodyguard shows up.

So Diplomatic bodyguards are not the most well received of my PRs, to say the least, there are quite a few people on the discord that have voiced their dislike to it, and I am somewhat questioning it myself at this point. I wonder what peoples thoughts would be on going back to just having the consular having the gun and getting rid of the bodyguard role.
  9. Perhaps still allow them to be usable off-ship? Onship they're unusable outside of red alert or emagging, offship, they can be used. Matt's thoughts on IC regulations are good too, More IC regulations on mech stuff would be neat.

  11. TGstation has a ui system for painting, that brings up a window to do the painting in that seems like it'd be much better for the painting part at the very least.

  14. Considering that a restart vote apparently breaks the server? It doesn't seem much of a use to remain vote-able, since a staff member will just cancel the vote and tell off whoever voted it.
  15. The idea I have is to move the public garden to where the lower library room is, and turn the old garden room into the new shop location. This way it's easily connected to hydroponics for the sale of goods there. The store's desk could have access to both hanger techs and hydroponics staff the upper library room can be remapped to contain the library's bookshelves and stuff.

  17. I suppose their purposes could be merged yeah. The location of where it could go is complex however, there really isn't space in the service hallway without removing or moving something else.

  19. I was considering making a PR to do this. My plan was the office would be for the corporate reporter, and the freelancer would not have an office.
  20. @dessysalta Has given some good reasoning that I agree with, and shares some of the thoughts I have on the use of the AI art on the wiki. Others have stated things such as making it look amateurish, as AI art tends to do, and it being seen as cheap and low-effort.
  21. There has been discussion on the use of AI art that is currently used on the wiki, which has brought some people to say about removing it. I'm bringing it forth as a suggestion to implement a policy to ban the usage of AI generated content on the wiki, perhaps elsewhere too. As for existing AI art, that could potentially be removed or handled in some other way.

Yup Long Description: A fairly simple suggestion here: Bunk Dormitory: Same size as single Dormitory room, folding bed is replaced with bunk bed. You can arrange to bunk with a person of your choice, but if that isn't possible you may be paired with a random person. Cheaper then a single dorm room. Bunk Cubicle: Same as bunk dorm, but with a cubicle room, price is cheaper then single cubicle, but you share it with someone. Bunkroom: Absolute cheapest of the options. A simple, fairly small room with 4 bunks against the walls, hosting 8 crew inside it (or possibly 3 bunks hosting 6 crew). Spare space has storage lockers for each of the room's residents. As with dorms and cubicles, these make use of communal living rooms and bathrooms. IPC storage closet: Only available to IPCs, obviously, this is simply a tiny room with a charging bay and some shelving inside for a small amount of storage. Many owned IPCs are kept in these, and self-owned IPCs may choose to use one for a lower price compared to other rooms. In addition to these, I am pushing the idea that communal living rooms also have communal kitchen areas for people living in bunkrooms/dorms to prepare food. As I was making this Zha also gave the idea of hot bunking being a possible thing, which could also make a room even cheaper by someone else using your bed when you're not sleeping in it.
  23. Here are a few suggestions I and some others have had that could help to improve Odyssey. The ability for the storyteller to open another Storyteller slot, so they can get a helping hand, there's often a LOT for STs to do and some assistance could be helpful to them. The ability for STs to be able to turn Actors into simplemobs and borgs, as that isn't currently possible without adminbus, and would be useful for any scenarios where the ST wants a animal or robot controlled. The ability for Actors to turn into special subspecies (provided they have the whitelist), such as tesla rejuv suit tajara or warform vaurca. The way for the Storyteller or Actors to spawn a overmap-capable shuttle. These are sometimes needed and being able to have one on hand would be a useful feature.
